I like 1.2 the most
1.2.
I don't want to brag or anything but when it comes to being the worst, I'm always at the top!1.2's my favorite, but I prefer to include thin transparent gaps between panels for cleanliness:
back lolI considered putting panel gutters in but I am so / so on transparent ones always as unlike being accosted by a massive white background in dark mode I actually think with just panel gutters it creates a nice "polaroid photograph" look, but I decided against it here mostly for speed of putting the different options together if I am honest. But I am not going to quibble over it and I do prefer there being some gaps to none so I could go with 1.2 or 5 if that's the panel choices people are leaning toward.

They're not connected, it's a montage.
5 > 1.2, both are good, but I like that 5 doesn't crop out part of his head in panel 2.
Ah none of them do that's a glitch with how captions are displayed in the forums. It doesn't do that on the main trope pages though.
Here's how they look without captions:
1.1:
1.2:
1.3:
But I am good with 5 as well.
I'm good with 5.
Changing my vote to 5 then
Crowner's hooked
Votes bump, one in green.
5's hit super-consensus. It's in and tagged with the work cite; caption beyond that?
He's so good at heroism that you'll need a second hero.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy."He's no Lion when he thinks he's a hero, but his world view is kinda Bull, so most people think he's just a rat"
"The updated Don Quixote! Instead of tilting at windmills, he duels stone lions."
"Don Quijote would have been fine if he'd been born 2 centuries earlier— trust him to reincarnate 3 centuries later."

19.2, but shouldn’t it be “3 centuries later”? Haven’t read the novel, but I assume it’s set in the then-present day of 1605, and this set of prints is from 1905.
back lolMy mistake, sounds good. I always get confused as to whether a century is the first two digits or the one before.

Works for me. It's added and tagged, closing.
Crown Description:
Lord Error Prone
So for Lord Error-Prone I spotted this article on a series of now Public Domain lithographs by Spanish cartoonist Pedro de Rojas: https://publicdomainreview.org/collection/pedro-de-rojas-don-quixote-in-the-20th-century/
I thought a few of them together might work?
Initially I went with this image I posted on the main thread, which I've redone below sharper quality:
1.1 - I specifically went with 3, 1 to establish he's basically just playing dress up and the other two in order to show this is a pattern of behaviour not just a one off:
~Drope pointed out though that he looks more just an asshole than error prone in this though and even though a Lord Error-Prone can be an asshole (usually along the lines of Lawful Stupid or Chaotic Stupid but with a stubborn streak) I though they did have a point, so I have some other suggestions:
1.2 (Don Quixote vs a Stone Lion outside a bank and other escapades):
1.3 (Keeping the image that shows he's mostly playing dress up, but using some more error prone looking images rather than maliciously-Cloudcuckoo Lander looking ones):
Also if we do pick one of these, what would be the best pot hole? Don Quixote or as these were a Setting Update for the time they were drawn, would it be better to pothole to Creator.Pedro De Rojas?
