, it seems we should have a policy on how (or even if) we should list the numerous foreign voice actor dubs on character pages.

Descriptions aren't required (and I think the title and the pinned comment gives people enough of an idea of what's going on.) and the thread hasn't been advertised because no one has done so yet. If someone wants to do that, they can.

I think it should at least have the clarity that was in the original post with clarifying what "original va" vs "local va" means because I was confused when I first looked at it.

So, we specify what languages go into the note tag to remove innecesary languages, or we just move it inside said tag?

I presume literally all the info goes into the note. Which does bring into question how we're labeling said note.
Also still against the note option since the small text size does not work well on mobile, but it's better than a bloated VA section I guess.

That and a folder inside a folder sounds like a nightmare due to the site's fickle programming. It's kind of the only other way to made it smaller. At the very least most of the time mobile phones are able to zoom in nowadays, which slightly helps, but that's not a good enough excuse for a barely readable size on it sown merits.
I know I'm a bit late to it. I do like the information available, though.

A few questions to help me when/if I get round to editing the list of voice actors on character pages:
- If neither of the foreign dubs are local (eg. original = Japanese, all other dubs = all non-English on the English wiki), we still list all the non-local foreign VAs in a note tag, right?
- The note tag rule applies as long as there's at least one non-local foreign dub, yes? Or is there a certain minimum number of non-local dubs needed for the rule to apply?

Should this thread be locked since this issue has already been taken care of? If there are still issues, should there be a cleanup thread for it instead? (Granted, I don't know much about when threads should be locked, unless they're threads on TRS or IP.)
The decision should be documented somewhere—Character Sheets, probably. And a cleanup/project thread opened if there isn't one.

I liked the decision, as it certainly avoids infinite walls of texts in the most popular works (since there are no limits, some pages could be simply unreadable), but I'm also glad that the option of only allowing original and English voice actors didn't receive approval. The site indeed shouldn't be treated as an encyclopedia, but let's remember the wiki has several pages about Voice Actors of several different countries from which national works don't get pages on the wiki as often as the ones in English and Japanese do — thus, character pages sometimes are some of the main ways of Cross Wicking those pages until more national works from that country get pages.
