Alright, that all seems manageable. Accepted.

Now, if I can just get that severely outdated Character Roster up to snuff

  • Name: Ganon/Agahnim

  • Franchise: The Legend of Zelda, more specifically, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

  • Age: Unknown

  • Race: Demon

  • Appearance: Ganon is a towrering figure, a large beast, a blue pig-like monstrosity wielding a large trident. His avatar, Agahnim, appears as a mysterious man with pale skin, completely cloaked in red robes.

  • Alignement: Evil Incarnate

  • Class: Dark Warlord/Dark Wizard

  • Personality: Ganon is a being of pure evil, defined and obsessed with power. Embracing darkness and destruction, the King of Evil lives to conquer and detest light and peace, for only cowards hide in them. Ganon is a very patient being, able to plot in the long game. Blessed by the power of the mighty Triforce, Ganon is also arrogant, viewing himself as a god-like being. Though he appears regal and courteous and can show respect to those whom he deems worthy opponents and loyal servants, he is ultimately a demon that will resort to manipulation and slaughter to achieve ultimate power.

  • Skills:

    • Physical Strenght: Ganon is a very large beast, towering over normal humans. He can brush off a lot of damage and is ridiculously strong, capable of shattering the ground he stands on with a powerful stomp. His strength is supernatural

    • Intelligence: Though he appears to be a brutish creature, Ganon is anything but that, contrasting many of his beast counterparts in other games. Having retained the same deadly intelligence he had as Ganondorf, Ganon can easily cheat and manipulate others, and he can plan for the long term. He is an expert at using the evil in mortals's hearts for his purpose, before discarding them the moment they have run out of usefulness.

  • Power and abilities: As the King of Evil, Ganon is a master of dark magic. Below are a few of the demon's accomplishments.

    • Curses: At the height of his power, Ganon's dark influence allows him to create natural disasters such as drought or pestilence, though this was helped by his direct control over the Triforce. Don't expect him to pull it off here. Ganon can also curse other people, turning them into ugly versions of themselves among others.

    • Teleportation: Though he is slow, Ganon makes it up by being able to teleport, though he cannot spam it, and his range is limited.

    • Blazing Bats: Ganon can conjure bats made of infernal fire. They first appear as fireballs, before taking the shape of bats. Once they are complete, the creature will chase after their target to burn them alive. Those bats can leave a trail of flame in their wake.

    • Shapeshifting: Interestingly, the only form Ganon can take is one of a large bat. This form is mostly harmless, and he uses it to escape a dangerous situation or spy on others. He is still able to break entire floors in this form, so you can imagine his strength when using his true boar-like form.

    • Monster creation: As the King of Evil, Ganon can create various monsters to serve his will: from common mooks such as Moblins and Taros, to powerful creatures like the Helmasaur King or Trinexx. For clarity's sake, those monsters all come from ALTTP as well. Again, without the Triforce directly under his control, he can only summon one powerful creature at a time, and only a handful of lesser minions.

    • Secret Technique of Darkness: At his full power, Ganon can cast an aura of total darkness in the area around him. In this state, the boar-like demon is nigh invisible. Granted, one can always light torches and other light sources to better see through the fog of darkness.

    • Agahnim: Agahnim is a special case. The priest known as the "Dark Wizard" is an alter-ego of Ganon, a fragment of his dark soul, a second body in which Ganon can project his consciousness and control from a distance. The Demon King created this avatar to conceal his dark nature, travel amongst the world of mortals, and manipulate them as he wishes. Though less powerful than the real Prince of Darkness, Agahnim is still a threat on his own and is a master of the dark arts, capable of conjuring balls of dark energy, teleportation, brainwashing weak minds, creating two clones of himself, as well as deadly bolts of lightning. His magic allows him to repel common attacks. Skilled, the Dark Wizard can also use his sorcery for "good", curing droughts and other disasters, though it ultimately serves his evil purpose.

  • Equipment:

    • Trident of Power: A long white trident bearing the emblem of a skull. Ganon is very skilled with it, using it to block his opponent's attacks. He can also launch it while he is teleporting, and the evil weapon will return to him anyway, like a very large and deadly boomerang

  • Weaknesses: As powerful as he is, the Prince of Darkness has one major weakness: Light and holy weapons. Regarding Agahnim, sending some of his ball of darkness at him is very effective way to hurt him. Ganon himself can only be hurt by sacred weapons, blessed with Holy Light such as the Silver Arrows, or the Master Sword. Since he can also use Agahnim's lightning and projectiles attacks, he is also vulnerable to being sent back his ball of darkness, though, unlike Agahnim, he can also hit back the projectile with his trident and engage in a "match" of Dead Man's Volley until someone is inevitably struck by the ball.

  • World of Origin: Ganon comes from the mythical kingdom of Hyrule. His seat of power is the Dark World, a parallel world once known as the Golden Land, where the Triforce resides. But it had been corrupted by the Prince of Darkness.

  • World Alignment: The Kingdom of Hyrule is a land of heroes, demons, and legends, where good and evil constantly clash. The Dark World, Ganon's seat of power is a cursed mockery of the Kingdom of Hyrule, reflecting Ganon's evil heart. It is a horrible place, filled with deadly dungeons and creatures of evil. Those who set foot upon this land are turned into monsters. The more wicked they are, the more monstrous and powerful they shall become.

  • Backstory: Ganon was once a mortal known as Ganondorf, king of the Gerudo, a tribe of thieves from the desert near the Kingdom of Hyrule. Raised by the evil witches Koume and Kotake, and the reincarnation of an ancient evil known as Demise, Ganondorf quickly developed an affinity for the dark arts. His evil ambitions drove him to conquer Hyrule. To that end, he participated in a civil war. But the Gerudo King was defeated, and he finally pledged allegiance to the King of Hyrule.

    • But this was a ruse. Seeing that brute force would not work, Ganondorf sought to obtain the Triforce, a legendary artifact left behind by the tree Golden Goddesses who created the world, capable of granting any wishes. The artifact was left hidden in the Sacred Realm, the Golden Land, an alternate dimension, whose doors were hidden in the Temple of Time in Hyrule Castle Town. To open the sacred gates, Ganondorf needed three spiritual stones as well as the Ocarina of Time. Though he sought to obtain them by force, he eventually let Link, a young boy destined to fight him gather all of the artifacts for him. When the boy drew the final key, the Master Sword, he was plunged into a deep sleep, and Ganondorf could finally enter the Golden Land.

    • Though he found the Triforce, his evil, unbalanced heart would only grant Ganondorf the part associated with his ambitions, the Triforce of Power. The two other parts, the Triforce of Wisdom and the Triforce of Courage went missing. Seeking them to complete his domination, Ganondorf took over Hyrule for seven long years, turning it into a hellscape. Eventually, he found the two bearers of the Triforce: Princess Zelda, and Link. He captured the first and defeated the second after a grueling battle. His hands covered in the blood of the Hero of Time, Ganondorf laughed as he made his wish to conquer Hyrule. The Triforce's power turned him into the powerful demon known as Ganon, and he embraced his nature as the Great King of Evil.

    • With Ganon's rebirth, the Golden Land was turned into the Dark World, reflecting the darkness within him. Ganon retreated into this accursed land and proceeded to build his army, attracting many followers with promises of powers, their greed and wickedness turned them into monsters. In a last-ditch attempt to stop the Demon King, and without a hero to wield the Master Sword, one of the few weapons capable of destroying Ganon, Princess Zelda gathered other Sages, as well as the courageous Knights of Hyrule. What came after was the Imprisoning War, a great war during which the Knights of Hyrule all almost perished defending the Seven Sages from Ganon and his army, as the demons swept across Hyrule. At the end of the war, the Seven Sages sealed the Dark World and repelled the wicked monsters. As for Ganon, he was banished to another dimension, the Seven Sages hoping to delay his return while waiting for the coming of the prophesized hero who would finally defeat the Demon King.

    • But Ganon is confident that he shall return to the Dark World and resume his conquest of Hyrule. In the meantime... he intends to subjugate this new world as well, and plunge it into neverending darkness.

  • Aditional notes:

    • Though he has been blessed with the power of the complete Triforce, the golden triangles are not with Ganon. They are still resting in the Pyramid of Power at the center of the Dark World. This is mainly done because Ganon is already powerful on his own and could be susceptible to nerfs. I'm not going to add a wish-granting artifact with that.

    • Ganon is very skilled at playing organ. He was already mastering the instrument as Ganondorf.

Hrm...

While I appreciate the effort you've put into this signup, and am hesitant to spoil your hard work just by being a pedantic stickler, I can't help but feel that this isn't the right RP for Lord Shen. The aim is to take characters ALREADY sent to different worlds in-canon and reroute them to the game's setting. Lord Shen here just seems to have the isekai tacked onto the end with no discernible reason.

Come to think of it, Shen is the only major/movie villain in Kung-Fu Panda that ISN'T sent into another world/dimension, assuming the Wushi Finger Hold operates consistently through the series and banishes both Kai and Tai Lung into the Spirit Realm.

Thanks for the review. I was also hesitant to submit the guy at first given the whole "your character must have been sent to another dimension", but there was this part in the signup introduction that had me willing to try:

"Maybe the character didn't get swept into another world in the source material, but they did in this fanfiction that you SWEAR is really really good. Maybe you want a much more interesting character, who you say could have got to this other world the same way the main character did. Maybe there could have been some glitch in space travel or time travel that sent them over, who knows? Make me a good enough argument, and I might consider it."

Regarding Shen, we don't see "exploding" like Tai Lung and Kai before his ship explodes, and I know there is magical stuff in his universe, or alternate dimensions like the Spirit Realm (the afterlife for Kung fu masters). Maybe Shen was also sent to that dimension after his death, that would make a better explanation than my previous one. He clearly knows martial arts, but would he qualify as a Kung Fu master to be sent there in that realm canonically? ^Who knows. Either that, or there is also a plane of existence every soul is sent in, depending on your ranks or actions in the KFP universe, though this hasn't been confirmed (by the movies at least I think). I don't know if this counts as "universe traveling"

As for why I chose Shen over the two other bad guys (though your explanations make sense), it's mainly my personal preference.

But if you think it's still a bad idea to include him, I'll see if I can come up with another character if I still have interest in your RP forum.

  • Name: Magolor
  • Franchise: Kirby
  • Age: Adult. Ish. Probably.
  • Race: Definitely not human, at any rate.note
  • Appearance: The far-flung traveler.
  • Alignment: Friendly, Fettered, Trying Way Way Too Hard To Be Good
  • Class: Mage
  • Personality: Exceedingly friendly and chipper, Magolor is possessed of intense curiosity about...well, lots of things, and is very eager to share his wealth of knowledge about interdimensional workings. He has a strong mischievous streak, and can come off as a bit overbearingly friendly, to the point where it can seem like he's faking it. He's really not; he's just trying way, way too hard to make up for his past actions, which he still hasn't forgiven himself for.
  • Skills:
    • Interdimensional Traveler: As a seasoned dimension traveler, Magolor naturally possesses a not-inconsiderate amount of knowledge on their workings. If you've got a question about dimensional physics, you can't go wrong asking him.
    • Captain of the Lor: Also befitting a seasoned dimension traveler, he pilots the Lor Starcutter and is an expert at flying it. This may extend to similar vehicles in Foteingi.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Levitation: To make up for not having any legs, Magolor is constantly levitating off the ground, and can go even higher should he want to. To his knowledge, there's not much of a limit on how long he can float, but there is one on how high he can go.
    • Magic Sphere: Fairly straightforward: a sphere of magic to be fired at enemies. Can be charged into Revolution Orbs (two spheres) and charged further into Revolution Flame (three spheres that are also on fire).
    • Deadly Needles: Two needles of energy that rise up next to him, one on either side. Can be charged into Double Deadly Needles (four needles, two on each side) and Double Deadly Needles Deluxe (eight needles, four on each side).
    • Magolor Surge: The dash attack: surging forward and spinning. Fairly straightforward.
    • Gem Apple Bombs: Are these equipment or abilities...? Eh, I'm going with abilities. Magolor has a collection of Gem Apples turned explosives, which he can hurl at enemies and detonate.
    • Magic Barrier: A star-shaped barrier that Magolor can summon to protect himself and allies. It's invulnerable to chip damage, but one section (out of five) can be broken with two strong attacks, meaning the barrier can overall take ten strong attacks before falling completely.
    • Dimensional Vanish: Short-ranged teleport. Good for when you need a quick dodge.
    • The Awesome, but Impractical Stuff: These are the abilities Magolor has, but can't spam because they eat into a lot of his magic reserves and tend to exhaust him (this is necessary because otherwise Mags would solo the entire RP).
      • The Magolor Cannon: A massive beam of energy, fired directly forward and blasting through all in its way.
      • The Black Hole: A black hole Magolor can summon over his head, sucking in all nearby enemies before spiking them to the ground, greatly damaging them in the process.
      • The Ultra Sword: By my Ultra Sword, your darkness is no more— Ahem. A magical BFS that can cut through pretty much anything. Was used to destroy the Master Crown and chop a giant tree in half. Vertically.
  • Equipment:
    • The Lor Starcutter: A ship built by the Ancients and found and fixed up by Magolor, the Lor Starcutter is a flying boat capable of traveling dimensions as easy as you or I eat. It's also capable of fighting, as can be seen during the first phase of Return to Dream Land's final boss. Unfortunately for Magolor, it's currently broken, its Energy Spheres scattered across the continent; as such, for now, it's a bit useless.
  • World of Origin: Welcome to Dream Land! A colorful, cheerful place on Planet Popstar, where whimsical creatures live in harmony. For the most part. It does seem to be a magnet for eldritch abominations.
  • World Alignment/Tone: Bright and cheery, despite the aforementioned eldrirch abominations. No matter what comes their way, Kirby and friends handle it!
  • Backstory:
    • One fine day in Dream Land, Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight, and Bandana Waddle Dee saw a portal open in the sky, through which a falling ship came through. Entering the ship, they found a strange being inside. This was, of course, Magolor, the captain of the Lor Starcutter whose ship had lost most of its parts in the crash. Being the nice person he was, Kirby immediately volunteered to retrieve the parts and help fix the Lor, which Magolor eagerly accepted (Dedede, Meta Knight, and Bandana Dee kinda got dragged along on this quest).
    • And so began a new adventure! The four heroes traveled Popstar, developed strong friendships, and collected all the missing pieces of the Lor. Magolor thanked them by taking them on a trip to his supposed home dimension, Halcandra. There, they got shot down by a dragon, fought said dragon, Magolor betrayed them to claim the Master Crown, got possessed by said crown, was stranded in Another Dimension after his defeat, but all worked out in the end because he put together the first Gem Apple and proceeded to chop the crown in half!
    • So after all that, he ended up in a high fantasy version of the Dream Land he knew and opened a Shoppe there for some time, before he eventually managed to return to Dream Land (ha) and built an amusement park as a token of apology. Kirby, happy to see Magolor alive, forgave him basically immediately; everyone else took a bit more time and Magolor himself hasn't managed it at all. But he's been a steadfast ally to Kirby ever since, even helping save the entire galaxy from a god of chaos.
    • Now...how did he end up here? Well, he was flying the Lor, and an incident occurred that definitely had nothing to do with him seeing a spider on the control panel and jerking the wheel in a panic, sending the ship through a nearby portal and crash-landing on Foteingi. The Energy Spheres that powered the Lor got scattered in the crash (again—luckily, the actual ship is intact this time), forcing Magolor to set off on a quest to find all of them and hopefully get back home.
  • Additional Notes:
    • Dialogue is in gold!
    • In my timeline, his return to Dream Land (ha) happened after Triple Deluxe and before Planet Robobot.
    • While Magolor is on this isekai adventure, Kirby and co. are going through the events of Forgotten Land. Because parallels :P

"Kept me waiting, haven’t you? Tch. No matter. Dawdle all you’d like. In the end, your defeat remains inevitable."

Alright then, first things first:

Scipion3: Having conferred with my sub-GMs, I'm sorry to say that your justification doesn't quite hold water. Lord Shen has been declined. All the same, I've heard good things about your dedication to roleplaying, so I do hope you find a Trapped in Another World character that suits your style.

Lily: Having had a look through, I think the setting can juuuust about handle a power level of that magnitude. Accepted.

[up] Alright. I think I found someone else that could better fit the theme (he has been sealed away canonically). His downside is that he is likely to be subjected to nerfs because he's a Final Boss and well... he is evil, with a capital E.

The new entry is now replacing my first post.
