I think both are too small to be completely clear, especially since the text is practically illegible.
I am not a fan of the suggestion because it’s too small (and the text is illegible) but the dragons are more recognizable than the current. Keep Until Better Image Suggested for now.

Macron's notesOhhhh my bad the suggestion was for OurDragonsAreDifferent.Literature, adjusting title now...
Neither looks good or even legible at wikisize.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!A vertical version◊, but I'm not sure whether it's official or fanart.
Looks good
oh hey how are you doing?Fanart but it's otherwise nice.
The artist is still active on Deviantart, so someone can write a PM and ask permission.
It's a lovely image, but the font style is very unreadable for the smaller identification notes. How unreadable will that be at wikisize?
That said, I think it may work even with unreadable writing because the headline is easier to make out, and may be all the context that is needed.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. How does this look in wiki size? I'm worried that it'll look off.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I can easily read the text on my phone, but does the text have to be legible? It's the different dragon shapes that is important.
Holy crap, the tiny one at the top is Smaug?
Legibility is not a requirement. Caption can point out that dragons come in all sizes and shapes.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Yeah. Smaug is one of the smallest dragons (my headcanon is that he boasts so much about his mightiness while harassing humans and dwarves to compensate for his inferior size).
Anyway, has anyone asked the artist for permission?
I don't like doing asking permission for an image we haven't agreed on yet, since it's kind of embarrassing to ask for permission then not use the image after all, but I think there's enough positive sentiment in this thread to go for it.
That's a fair point.
I can support the image if we can get permission to use it.
(Annoyed grunt)OK I think we can go with 6. Anybody want to reach out?
The artist already got back to me and gave the go-ahead.
It's in and tagged, with the artist linked in the caption. Are we good to close?
Unless anyone has other caption ideas?
Just as an FYI - the original artwork should be linked along with the artist's page. That's done.
I don't have any ideas for a caption aside from "Yes, they're drawn to scale."

It's good enough.
I'd like to apologize for all this.
~m-95 suggested these two takes from The Lord of the Rings in the Suggestion crowner:
(this image is actually quite large if someone would like to try and make a vertical take; it's just compressed to 350 for formatting)
Thoughts? Other ideas?
