Likely somewhat being used to set up an adaptation of Avengers vs. X-Men?
About zero percent chance of the Avengers getting a fair shake in an X-Men vs Avengers story in an X-Men show
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSpeaking of Avengers, find it odd that some recommend the Xmen should be introduced in solo films starring different characters than as one film. Avengers differ in that they are originally solo characters joining together. Most of the Xmen are introduced as part of the team and their identities revolve around it. What makes the original show so good is that it manages to get a strong outline of the characters before delving to their backstories.
Hope a Morph renaissance comes out of this show

So what we think happens. To set up next season.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Like I've said and I've seen others say, I think Onslaught is coming. I had a feeling about that when I saw Xavier's reaction to the Genosha massacre in "Lifedeath, Part 2" and the last two episodes had elements of Fatal Attractions in it, including last episode adapting the thing that caused Xavier to say "Fuck it!" and shut down Magneto's mind.
Troper Wall — DeviantArtI definitely think Onslaught is where we're going.
I also think we'll get some Apocalypse in season two, though secondary to Onslaught. Apocalypse reviving himself is one of the few dangling plot threads from the original series not yet examined. And it will also potentially give us a Gambit revival.
I am expecting further team roster changes too. Series one has done a fun job of shaking up the roster with various characters put in buses as plot lines need.
I'd love to see Colossus and Magik turn up, and doing more with the New Mutants, but there's nothing to suggest that beyond my own wishful thinking.
I'd also love to see a conclusion to the Ms Marvel plot line, given that that iconic episode of the original series ended with Rouge seemingly unknowing placing Carol's consciousness back into her own body. That's the other dangling plotline I can think of. But again that's wishful thinking, but would allow remit to explore this setting's Avengers. Plus maybe Mystique who is yet to make a proper appearance in the revival.
I thought the Carol Danvers thing is "closed" since there's that scene where she moved with a tear shed.
I always imagined this season would end with Binary crashing down in front of the Xmen to you know... tie to that one postcredits?
Dumb to think for me now. They would kind of undermine the finale if they did that and that opens up a lot of adaptation questions

So I recently watched Proteus from the original animated series...
And part 2 of Tolerance is Extinction said that Moira's dead....
Uh oh...
Yeah I was about to ask that, was she confirmed dead?
Season finale is now up
The episode opens w/ a flashback debate between Xavier & Magneto in a bar where Magneto was still denying his Mutant heritage in order to hide until Xavier outs himself to him w/c then is revealed to be a mindscape that Xavier trapped him in during that brief time he tried to mind-control him w/c Magneto warned him against due to the dangers of such an invasive technique on Xavier's mind. We then cut to realtime when Xavier succeeds in restoring the power back. Bastion then reveals his true endgame: total domination of all and his Prime Sentinels begin attacking everyone and every superhero (Cap, Iron Man, Daredevil, Black Panther (T'Chaka), Cloak & Dagger) begin jobbing to them. He even tries to doublecross Sinister by trying to kill Cable but the Phoenix Force returns to Jean & wipes out the Prime Sentinel virus from everyone on Earth. She then removes all the stolen DNA inside Sinister turning him back into 200-year old Nathaniel Essex to his horror. Bastion absorbs Cable's arm & upgrades him into a form akin to Archangel so he can slam Asteroid M to Earth to kill everyone. Charles-in-Erik's-Mind tries to fix the damage done in the latter's mind while X-Men Blue fend off Bastion. Meanwhile, President Kelly agrees to the Magneto Protocol against Cap & Black Panther's advice. X-Men Gold arrive via Beast's Mecha Sentinel to help in the fight vs Bastion. Cyclops decide to reveal to Bastion that his mother lied and that she really prevented him being recruited by the X-Men and offered to forgive him w/c drives him insane but the anti-Magneto missiles hit Asteroid M w/c only succeeded in making it plummet to Earth much faster. Cyclops offered to save Bastion but he refused & gets disintegrated by the blast. The X-Men stay inside & combined their powers to prevent Asteroid M's fall. Charles succeeded in rebooting Erik's mind & Magneto restores Asteroid M's orbit but the whole asteroid is then teleported away. Also, the news covered up the fact that the anti-Magneto missiles actually struck Asteroid M & cause it to freefall, instead claiming they missed. Fast forward to 6 months later & the X-Men are presumed dead, Graydon Creed's leading the presidential polls, Bishop visits Forge in the ruins of the Mansion & reveals that the X-Men along w/ Asteroid M got scattered across the timestream. Rogue, Kurt, Charles, Erik & Hank finds themselves in 3000 BC where they meet a young En Sabah Nur, Scott & Jean in 3960 AD where they meet Mother Askani.
Cameos: Cap, Iron man, T'Chaka, Cloak, Dagger, Daredevil, Dr Strange, Peter Parker, MJ, Silver Samurai, Darkstar, Crimson Dynamo, Psylocke, Puck, Northstar, Aurora, Frenzy.
Cameos in Forge's roster poster: Dust, Kitty Pryde, Emma Frost, Colossus, Magik, Iceman, Havoc, Exodus, Archangel, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver.

Super duper hyper post credit spoilers: Apocolypse is setting up to revive Gambit as his Horseman of Death
Looks like instead of Onslaught, we're getting Apocalypse next season across 3 timelines: his past young self vs Rama-Tut/Kang, his present self where he resurrects Gambit as Death and his future self where Nathan comes from and when Cyclops & Jean will meet their future daughter Rachel.
So...What happened to Wolverine and Morph?
Edited by Nexus on May 15th 2024 at 12:47:47 PM
That is actually a good question as they're never seen in either the past or future & they're unaccounted for in the present as well.
Pausing at Forge's roster poster and the X-Men (including Wolverine & Morph) are listed as Missing: Presumed Dead, Wanda & Pietro are also in the poster but they're listed as Off-World, Archangel is also Missing: Presumed Dead and Jubilee, Sunspot & Cable are listed as AWOL. Magik is also aged up in the poster.

Man fucking immaculate episode. What a mind-bender.
Also Goddamn Morph, straight up telling Logan they love him.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It was cool seeing the 90s Iron Man Armor.
It also seems like Omega Red is with the Winter Guard now.
Weird that they went with T'Chaka as Black Panther. I don't know why they didn't use T'Challa.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Pausing at the credits Young En Sabah Nur is voiced by Adetokumboh M'Cormack aka Isaac from Castlevania & recently Kofi from Blood of Zeus while him as Apocalypse in the present is voiced by Ross Marquand. Valerie is also revealed to still be alive & was later freed by Forge. Mother Askani is voiced by Gates McFadden and T'Chaka is voiced by Isaac Robinson-Smith. There's also the fact that Peter & MJ are together so at least their series did eventually end on a high note albeit offscreen.
Forgot that this finale's Morph's cameo is Reed Richards.
Regarding why Black Panther here is T'Chaka instead of T'Challa, I hope I'm wrong but it's hopefully not because they're expanding avoiding adapting T'Challa due to Chadwick Boseman's death to include all voiced adaptations moving forward. Because if that is the real reason then it's too much already.
Edited by KRider on May 15th 2024 at 1:55:53 AM
I wonder if Black Panther being listed as such was a mistake. Wouldn’t be the first time it happened.
It better not be. No offense to Boseman, but he was not the first person to play T'Challa and doing that is an insult to everybody who came before — including Keith fucking David, who was the first to play him, having voiced him in the '90s FF cartoon.

Troper Wall — DeviantArtSteve definitely said T'Chaka, so it's not just a word only credits name. He is named onscreen.
Yeah I really hope too that's not the case. Wiping the character from adaptations due to Boseman's death is a gigantic crossing the line into poor taste.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Huh you're right that there is potential for something to pay off from the Captain America set up. I forgot that he's also investigating Bastion and we left hin with a pretty good lead.
