Oh, sweet.
Yeah, I had to force myself out of my half-awake phase last night to get up and write my next chapter. So far it's going well, though I have no idea where the plot is going and thus far my characters don't feel very consistent. But hey, the point is the journey, not the quality.

I finally got started on writing again, but a little too late to really get going for NaNoWriMo. I have been finding that going to a nearby coffee shop and turning off my internet has helped- in one week I've gone from 1,700 words to 8,900.
I've been doing the Na No Wri Mo challenge, and so far so good on keeping up the daily wordcount. Technically, it's a fanfic wip I started prior to November, though, which does make it easier since I didn't have to figure out how to write the beginning.
My most major concern writing it is sticking too closely to Stations of the Canon, since so far it's been sticking pretty closely to the original canon (Fallout New Vegas, if you're curious). I just haven't figured out where I want to diverge from canon.
Good luck to all the rest of you *salutes* I'm sure we'll need it.

Screw it, Imma give this a try. I started a story this month but it wasn't meant for NaNoWriNo.
Problem is, I get distracted a lot and I sometimes lack motivation to do it. The whole point is to try your best right?
Anyway, my story is essentially the French Revolution but evil fairies intervene. I also made an account on the NaNoWriNo website (same username).

Yeah, the main point of the exercise is just to do your best, not worry about making mistakes, and just get your ideas written. I used to cheat it by either counting everything I wrote (stories or not), or writing a collecting of short pieces based on a pre-existing story of mine. This is my first time actually trying to complete an entire novel in a month.

Honestly, my current writing routine is designed pretty much around the fact that I'm easily distracted and bored. I pretty much write in small bursts, often only about 10-20 sentences at a time, in between watching videos or playing games. That way I keep myself motivated, but I don't use all my energy trying to write an entire chapter in one go.

I'm at 37,042 words now. I having a Thanksgiving Break from school, so I'm hoping I'll take advantage of that even though I tend to be a bit lazy on the weekends 
Almost to 20,000 words. My parents arriving during the first part of the month for a visit threw off my writing schedule

I'm in the 43k word mark, yet plot wise I'm barely halfway there. I'm pretty sure I can reach 50k words but my novel still isn't finished by then

Yeah, there's always next year. You could stop at a point that you're satisfied with and pick it up next year. At least that's what I'm thinking of doing.

Hmmm, I'm predicting that the word count I'll reach if I finish my novel's plot is around 65k. I may be wrong but probably not enough for next year lol.

Well, I guess I technically just won NaNo, though it was in part because I needed to finish the climax here and so I overwrote just to get my personal quota... Finished up my NaNoWriMo project at 50.3k words. Odds are I'm gonna continue writing because I'm not really done with the story yet.
