While this is still going on, would there be any opinions on whether some sort of "Mythical Animal Motifs" trope would be viable? I'm thinking there could also be a possible trope of a mythical animals being used alongside real animals as motifs, but that may be covered by other tropes.
Welcome to Ideal's WorldThat was my favorite solution, and ideally that would've been done through renaming this and cleaning it up. You can still make a draft for it down the line and split this trope but it would not be through TRS.

I'd rather move the list of mythological beings to Analysis.Mythological Motifs instead of putting them in a folder on the main page. We wouldn't keep the indexing if we did that.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Agreed.
Bump for more input.
...Anyone?
What makes Mythical Animals different? Non-sapience, perhaps?

No, trying to find a reason why animals should be split out.
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Well, mythical creatures don't exist, for one thing. They're also supernatural and carry a lot more power and intrigue. Compare a Kitsune to a regular Fox; connotations might be similar, but the Kitsune is magical and ancient.
If you're asking about the split between mythical animals and other myths, there isn't one anymore.

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessBump again. If no one else weighs in on description in the sandbox and the move of the list to Analysis I'm going to assume it's good and swap it in in a couple of days.

Sandbox looks fine, except I don't think we need the last sentence before the folder because we'll already have a tab for the Analysis subpage at the top of the main page. There have been other TRS threads that moved stuff to Analysis subpages, and I don't recall any of them adding links to the Analysis subpages in the main trope page descriptions as opposed to just letting readers click the tab.
(I retracted what was originally in this post because I misread the posts I previously talked about here.)

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Swapped in the sandbox and moved the list of Analysis/. I also left a note on the discussion page.
I think this is done?
Okay then, time to close.

Stick it into a folder so it doesn't take up too much of the description's focus?
