I kinda want Jimmy woo to get sucked into Westview next episode and he will look how the dad did on fresh off the boat which while not a 90s sitcom was set in the 90s.
Awww I wanted to post that.
Fuck if this was Evangelion Wanda would be piloting a Vision mech.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."An isekai where the supporting cast slowly starts to realize the main character is an outsider and that they are trapped in an isekai.
That's... legit not a bad idea.
Something that occurred to me thinking about the situation a bit more. Most things that exit Westview revert back to the form they were in before they left (like Wanda completely changing back to normal once she left), and things that don't still retain the elements of what they were before they ended (IE, Monica's bulletproof vest became a 70's outfit, which retained the characteristics of a bulletproof vest). This would imply that if the anomaly ends or he is taken outside of it, Vision will revert back into a corpse and die again - hence Wanda being insistent that he doesn't want to know what's outside the borders of her control. I had already figured this all ends with Vision dead again, but still - that fact seems like certainty.
The thing with the bulletproof vest is definitely going to be used to explain where the twins' powers come from. They were created basically from the whole cloth by reality warping radiation, which is going to stick with them.
Last kind of in-jokey note, but if Monica's aerospace engineer friend turns out to be Reed Richards, this whole madness could make a fun way to reference regarding his own reality warping son's powers years down the line as well.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Assuming of course the twins can/do exist outside of Westfield, which seems far from a given thing.
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."I wonder why Monica seemed adverse to discussing Captain Marvel. Something happened that drove them apart unlike how as a kid Monica used to look up to her? Maybe it's resentment over how Carol is seemingly eternally youthful while Maria had to grow older and eventually succumb to her illness? Maybe she didn't visit much? Or some other event yet unseen?
Probably just upset that Carol possibly never saw either of them again since leaving in her movie. Heck, we don't even know if she visited Maria after the Snap or just went back to space to help the rest of the universe deal with the Snap's consequences.
Basically, unresolved abandonment issues combined with unresolved grief over her mother dying before she was Blipped back.

Disgusted, but not surprisedLa'Ron Readus did a video discussing his theory about potentially being on the outs.
Stephen sean Ford (Teen Wolf) suggested on twitter recently that Jimmy and Darcy should lead a quirky X-Files style spin-off...Disney apparently like the idea, and now Ford confirmed today he's writing a pitch for the show!
That was fast.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."...I'd watch it. Great in for C-list comic bullshit.
I don't think he's evil, just a jerk.
×3
Have them form the MCU version of the Agents of Atlas.

I don't see why not. If I'm understanding how the way all this has been explained and exposited, they were created whole cloth by the town/Wanda, so they should be fine when the anomaly ends, albeit maybe with some changes. I think there was even a scene where Monica said "no, those kids are real" when asked about it.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. All the people who lived in Westfield have been turned into characters inside the Hex. Even Vision's body was bought in. The only other thing that seems to have been created from whole cloth is the stork and that has only been seen inside the Hex.
I'm still thinking if/when the Hex vanishes, so do the twins.

"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."A thought - So, from an out-of-universe perspective, I know that Abigail Brand is the head of SWORD, not what's his name. So, while the MCU is not obligated to follow the comics, that does make me think that the current guy's career prospects aren't great.
On a related note, I've vaguely been wondering if they will do Canon Character All Along with Darcy, but I can't really think of a good explanation why her name would actually be anything other than Darcy Lewis.
RE Jimmy Woo, it would be cool to have him get his own show. Maybe he could lead a combination of Agents of Atlas and Nextwave? So, it would be him, Monica, Shang Chi, and Elsa Bloodstone (assuming she appears in Blade). I'd really like to see Raz Malhotra (Giant-Man) in the MCU as well. Maybe Vision could take on a new persona as Machine Man?

I won’t be surprised if Abigail Brand does become director because comics but narratively it seems unlikely
It’s been stressed that Hayward was the only reasonable choice and Brand hasn’t shown up in the show to build her up as a replacement
Monica seems a likelier successor really
Plus, if Hayward’s failing as a director is being too aggro, Brand seems a weird course correction
What I’m really afraid of is Fury becoming director since he seems involved in something in the Far From Home stinger but he probably wants to keep playing dead
Forever liveblogging the AvengersFury's constantly playing the "the actual leader that nobody knows about" role in like every continuity he's in, so I'd imagine future appearances will do that.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. So regarding Sparky, I see a lot of people talking about how he may have committed suicide on purpose with the azalea but I haven't seen much comment on the fact that the first thing we see him actually do that earns him his name is try to get at an electrical outlet. Suicidal dog is suicidal.
Going back to the discussion from ancient times on whether Darcy is Rescued from the Scrappy Heap from back here: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=16107505280A84247900&page=15#comment-373.
Seemed like overwhelming consensus was that she either didn't really need to be rescued or it was too early to call. Would anyone be averse to me pulling it from the YMMV page and citing this thread?

"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."Are dogs IRL known to demonstrate suicidal behaviour? Why is everyonevthinking that a dog would commit suicide?
None of the humans ever did, and dogs are known to put everything they can into their mouths when they're hungry.
A friend of mine had one who swallowed a whole spoon once.
It's known that when dogs fall into deep depression due to feeling abandoned (mostly after their owners pass away) that they would starve themselves to death. There are some very rare documented cases where dogs with these issues jumped off buildings, presumably deciding to end their lives.
Although going by the the revelation of matter in the Hex is transformed from previous one, what if Sparky was a person?
Edited by Akirakan on Feb 6th 2021 at 4:20:03 AM
I think that’s depicted as dog curiosity, especially since it’s possibly alluding to Tom King’s Vision where Zeke, the dog that became Sparky, was electrocuted after it dug up Grim Reaper’s corpse.

Okay, so I noticed that this episode's commercial was weirder than usual? Like... the person using the paper towels pushes the spill off the countertop instead of soaking it up. Is that a metaphor for the downward spiral Civil War gets into because of everything in Lagos?
So, let's hang an anchor from the sun... also my TumblrNo, it's because people in those ads are completely incompetent at using any paper towels except the advertised brand. It's a pretty standard thing in the ads.
Not Three Laws compliant.
I assumed Sparky was hit by the missile and Wanda and Agnes pretended he died of poisoning, but it's also a reference to Tom King's Vision run where Sparky died shortly after eating Vision's enchanted plant.
I wonder who the "aerospace engineer" Monica claims she'll call for help. With Fox-owned characters now on the table, I'm seeing theories that it's Reed Richards.
Personally I don't know if they want to put such a big appearance right after this last one, so I'm gravitating toward another theory that it's Talos's daughter, who Monica was seen being friends with as a kid.
