Just a Face and a Caption: Clone Jesus

Merry Christmas! Let's talk about the birthday guy Jesus himself, or more specifically his clone, or more specifically specifically, how the page image is pure JAFAAC; no indication whatsoever that he's Jesus or a clone. Pull pending any replacements.

Leaning toward pull, even though I know the work and am kinda biased toward it.

My impression of the current is that it's riffing on how Jesus likely looked like a Middle Eastern Jew, but that's not indicated at all in the image and most people will expect the sharp-featured white man of Christian iconography anyway. Pull as JAFAAC

You need to note the old image in the thread.

From the examples, there's Jesús Christo from Clone High. I couldn't find a way to get a direct link to the pic, so here's one to his wiki entry. wiki link

Nothing outright says clone, but he is holding modern carpentry tools, so maybe?

i think any replacement images should illustrate both the "Clone" part and the "Jesus" part of the trope. the Clone High example only has the "Jesus" part.

I don't remember the series showing them in cloning tanks, so I'm not sure how it could be improved.

Today's art project: combining the shroud of Turin and a still image of a Cloning Tank holding Galen Marek from VideoGame.The Force Unleashed II. Yeah, he's not Jesus or even a Jesus analogue in the setting, but for illustration purposes I think it works. As usual this was a quick attempt, please let me know if tweaking would help or if it doesn't look like it might work.

I think I found a contender! Has funky scifi stuff, mentions Biblical artefacts, guy Looks Like Jesus, Background Halo... it can always be downsized of course.

That one I like the most. I like the cross on the top panel, but would it still be noticeable when descaled?

i like 19 a lot but i feel like it could be resized a bit since the image is way too long.

also i find it funny that they cloned Jesus from his foreskin (???)

Resizing is easy. I always upload images at 350 so they can be seen at “full potential”.
