Yes they would. I mean it is Sonic Forces: Speed Battle. There is no reason not to. I still wish that in So I Prime we could have those crossovers with previously established canons like the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, though it was immediately jossed. Seems like we are getting more original ones and perhaps more creative ones. Seriously, I want to see more characters.
Obscure Reference: "It can sometimes knock out opponents with the shock created by breaching and crashing its big body onto the water.Shame that SEGA doesn't want anything to do with any Sonic property in the 90s, sans the games of course.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Didn’t they already put Nine in Speed Battle?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Yes.
Obscure Reference: "It can sometimes knock out opponents with the shock created by breaching and crashing its big body onto the water. That's good news for the possibility of more game Sonic Prime content. It suggests that Sega probably negotiated for sole ownership of any new characters and ideas introduced in the show, which is unusual for adaptations.
Probably learned their lesson from the Penders fiasco.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I figured that would have been the case too. My closest comparison is how Transformers: Animated was a legitimate co-production between Hasbro and Cartoon Network Studios (not just simply airing the series like some previous and future adaptations of the franchise). However, Hasbro still has the rights to concepts and characters introduce in that adaptation, and have used them on multiple occasions. This also apparently extends to distribution, since they have no problem airing the show on non-Warner Bros. outlets while still have the CNS logo in the credits.
By comparison, it's more accurate to say that Netflix is a distributor here. They're not specifically noted among the copyright or credits of the series - only Sega (and by extension, WildBrain and Man of Action for animation production and writing contributions).

Imagine what would have happened if SEGA had gotten the rights to the characters used in the Archie Comics. Then the lawsuit probably wouldn't have happened.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!If everyone in the Frontiers DLC gets alternate costumes the same way Sonic got that Monster Hunter costume, I’d be down for a Nine costume for Tails.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I would like to see a Rusty Rose costume in Frontiers DLC if they made that happen.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Some footage (Just a few seconds) of a Season 2 episode has leaked, or at least seemingly. Won't link it here. Non-spoilery thing to say: Sonic's smashing some Eggforcers. Potentially spoilery thing to say: It's in the pirateverse, and before he does it he's shown tossing the Blue Paradox Shard away so we're definitely returning to No Place.
I've been impatiently waiting for them to announce the release date so I'm devouring this small scrap while I have it. Honestly it's made me want to rewatch the first eight episodes.

Bleye knows Sabers.I've been meaning to rewatch this series before the second batch of episodes come out.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!What does everyone think will happen in Season 2?
Some more awesome fight choreography for starters. That's really the show's biggest selling point and why I'm so invested in it.
More specifically, a "Boss Fight" against Knuckles the Dread that will eventually snap him out of his Gold Fever where he probably rescues his crew at the end.
One more Shatterspace since we saw 4 shards fly out and there are 4 primary companions Sonic's had in this show. I'm wondering if they have a plan for making Rouge the "Boss Fight" of that world or if they'll abandon that story beat by then. What theme it is is also up in the air, but my guess on page 25 was "Superheroes". Maybe Ninjas.
A cameo or two of Sonic's other friends. Blaze and Silver or the Chaotix are good candidates.
Shadow will do something antagonistic and stupid again.
EDIT: Noticed something on the rewatch. Someone else might have already pointed this out, but Nine's natural tails are thin and almost seem atrophied compared to Tails' big bushy fluffy ones. It could just be a animation trick because of the need to fit it in there with his mechanical ones, but I like to think that since he doesn't use them much at all he simply hasn't built them up. He even hides them, looking like he just has one big mechanical tail, when he's out. Homeboy still has a big complex about them...

Bleye knows Sabers.Hopefully in Season 2, we will see more of Sonic's friends from the original dimension. My biggest issue with the series so far is that we don't see enough of Sonic's friends from the original timeline. I understand that it's because they are separated from each other, but I would like to see how Sonic's friends are actually being portrayed in this series.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Okay, so we have cyberpunk universe, tribal universe, and pirate universe.
Taking all bets on the next one in the next season. Cowboy universe? Gangster universe? Ninja universe?
Since we're still missing a universe where the central character is a Bizarro Rouge, I'm gonna guess it's a universe with a lot of... lax morality.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Said before I think they'll do the opposite. Make the Rouge focus a Knight Templar who is trying to capture jewel thieves. Which includes people that try and mess with that shatterspace's piece of the Paradox prism.
Bleye knows Sabers.I'm so hyped to hear season 2 is coming soon.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. When is Season 2 coming?
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!One day.
Trust me, watching Stone Ocean was a pain with Netflix.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Season 2 (or should it be Season 1B?) is dropping on July 13th!
Hrrm, they don't say "season 2", instead saying it's returning. That's weird.

That’s probably because it’s not really a second season. It’s the second half of the first season.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Less than two months! I'm excited. I'll get my girlfriend I'm introducing to sonic to watch part one then.
Fucking finally.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. Finally we get a release date for this series!
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!
So about the mobile games, SEGA does have ownership over the mobile games, right? And if they do and they already introduced Rusty Rose in one of them, would they add in some characters from Prime in their future games?
