I can't be the only one who always wondered if you could just sew two coins into your clothes or carry them in your pockets for a guaranteed underworld. Elektra's were on her eyes, so below the tongue clearly wasn't a stipulation in this version,

The eye thing is another variation. Obviously not all Greek observed the same way across several centuries.

Finished the first season. That was... adequate. Very meh. The animation and music was nice, which makes sense, it's the Castlevania / Seis Manos guys.

The plot was... very generic. Sort of regurgitation of countless pop culture adaptation of Greek Mythology.

The show is getting a season 2.

Can't wait to see what incredible new way they find to show cartoon gore this time around.

I'm not all the way through season one yet. I dont think I'll care to watch a second. I'm not feeling this show.

The pacing for this show was awful. Characters also seemed to just teleport around in really obvious ways and things like the sword Zeus forged went nowhere. Season 2 would have to be vastly improved to be watchable imo.

The animation is good though, I will give it that.

I've been watching the show (slowly; I'm watching an episode a week), and thus far it's... okay. A fine watch, and entertaining, but nothing to write home about.

As to a second season, sure: if the first season continues to entertain then I'll likely be interested enough in another. It likely won't be high on my list of things to watch, but it'll likely be there.

Nice that it got renewed but they really need to tighten up the plotting and animation. The show is decent but it's not outstanding. I question if season 2 will get many returning viewers.

Powerhouse’s animation is consistently great. Their writing for their non-licensed works is not as great.

I disagree the animation is great. A lot of it seemed kind of stiff and low frame rate. Especially in the fight scenes. They masked it somewhat by doing slow motion but it still irked me.

The animation feels kinda Animesque, personally.

Perhaps I've been spoiled in this, but I didn't find the animation to be all that great. Serviceable, and not objectionable, but not amazing by any means. I very much second the mention of certain elements quite visibly showing a limited number of frames.

I think this works as good popcorn food but has lot of "waaaaaaaait a minute" plot issues

Blood of Zeus made Screenrant’s Best Netflix TV shows list.

Big Mouth is there too and many consider it one of the worst shows on the platform. I wouldn't indulge too much on the list but it's nice to see something so drastically different (Blood of Zeus) get some respect.

Yes, it was announced in December 2020, but there's no release date yet.

How good or bad Big Mouth is depends on who you ask. There are many people that enjoy the show.

Against all logic this is getting a season 2

Weird how so many other animated shows were canceled after one season (and a few not even getting that), but this was deemed worthy of continuation?

To be honest I would have preferred Seis Manos over this.

Same. It's weird coz I don't recall this show making any waves when it aired.

It was well animated but the writing was trite and cookie cutter.

I would too if I'm being honest, but it's better than nothing and it's certainly better than the shit deal Onyx Equinox got. Hell, I'm still holding out hope that Seis Manos gets another season, along with Trese.
