Your Mileage May Vary tab

It's been awhile, I don't remember where one goes to get a banner removed, but Evil Is Sexy, for example, is described as a "story telling device", in which case it should be listed as a trope and be on the main tab.

Difficulty Spike is on the your mileage may vary tab, which makes no sense when Wake-Up Call Boss, a specific type of difficulty spike, is not. And Wake-Up Call Boss should NOT be on the tab, the main is where it belongs. But consider Damien Sandow's quizzes, where he would ask two easy questions before flooring fans with something hard to answer. That is an objective, deliberately invoked difficulty spike. It's a trope. Is Warm-Up Boss, Noob Cave, etc all going to be your mileage may vary too? Basic game design? Why don't we put Anti-Climax there while we're at it?(no we should not)

I could go on, and on, even though no particular subject should take too much time(this one's wrong, please fix it), but I don't remember where to do it, so I'm posting here. If not redirected I'll just post here, one at a time from now on, as I find them.

The reasons those tropes are YMMV is that how it applies depends on an audience reaction. The audience may think a villain is sexy, but some may not. A difficulty spike may affect different players in different ways.

Shouldn't that thread be moved to LTP? If it's meant for discussing and reviewing YMMV, then it seems more like a project thread than a Wiki Talk one.

I don't think that's what it's meant to be for, but idk. I directed them there though because this whole thread is relevant to what we're discussing in that one and there's no point to split the discussion in two.

I feel like there was another thread for Evil Is Sexy somewhere semi-recently, and I actually agree that it doesn't seem all that YMMV. But that conversation is for somewhere else.
