In an effort to do so... who do you guys wanna see as the villain of The Batman Part II?
I'll go with... Mad Hatter. We haven't seen him in a movie yet. He didn't even get a cameo in The LEGO Batman Movie, strangely enough.

Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonMr. Freeze. I think it's totally possible to ground that character's appearance while still staying true to him in concept. Stellan Skarsgård could absolutely kill that role, and if the plot was an expansion of Heart of Ice then you could bring on someone like Bradley Cooper as a real slimy Ferris Boyle.
I would love to see someone try The Ventriloquist
New theme music also a boxFingers crossed for Hugo Strange.
Self-serious autistic metalhead who goes by any pronouns. (avvie template source)Oh my god, I cannot imagine a part more perfect for William H. Macy.
I feel like Ventriloquist would definitely be more of an Act 1 villain where he's used to show how Bruce has improved since the last movie.
It's been 3000 years…On the subject of act I villains, Professor Pyg would be a hoot. I'm chuckling imagining Pattinson Bats' absolutely stone-faced reaction to his nonsense.
Professor Pyg feels more like a main event villain for this type of movie, both to show how Gotham has only devolved since Batman showed up as well as some prime opportunities for Body Horror and suspense.
It's been 3000 years…I'd love to see them try and tackle Clayface, provided they're willing to go more fantastical in the next film.
You know, Mr. Freeze and Hugo Strange would work as joint villains, where the former, after the loss of his wife and a near death as a result of his chemicals, is manipulated by the latter as a weapon to take down Batman.
Maybe the sequel could use Deathstroke as a villain and salvage some of whatever's left over from when the first movie was Ben Affleck's.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonFreeze/Clayface; hell I could go for a Poison Ivy appearance. I'm really excited to see what Reeves has in store for Two-Face. Meanwhile I'd like to see Joker in the background building up a Legion of Doom. Maybe save that for movie 3 or 4.

You can only write so much in your forum signature. It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the midFor me clayface have to do two things: ether use the backstory similar to the batman which it was intersting or use him as paranoid esque thing monster that you never feel confortale around
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I also think it'd be neat if they'd go with the Court of Owls too, maybe as a grand finale to this series.
Although, I don't know whether any potential villains will clash with the Brave and the Bold movie they have planned.
Hugo Strange would be a fantastic villain for this series of films.
Also, I said so on the DC thread as well, but Clayface would be a fun idea - especially in a story that continues to focus on the corruption in Gotham, with Clayface looking like anyone and stirring the plot for his own aims.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. Also not sure if its been confirmed or not, but the sequels release date is Oct. 3, 2025
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Court is something you need a trilogy of sorts, they see very much a sort of series villians
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Ironically in most of their appearances, they end up outplayed.
Even in the original Court of Owls story, it was Lincoln March who was the real villain and outwits the court to become the Final Boss of the story.
In Dark Nights Metal, the Court also fall for Barbatos's lies and summon him to predictable results.
In the Batman who laughs comic, they also end up getting humiliated by the Batman who keks.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. The Court of Owls would still be a great antagonist I think. Batman Begins is actually my favorite of the Nolanverse movies because of the League of Shadows.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.The Court of Owls and League of Shadows have different agendas though.
Only thing similar about them is that they have super ninjas on their payroll.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. The Court of Owls would feel very well in the class themes
A bunch of evil rich fucks purposely keeping the city down cause that's how they like it and their agents are working class people they dehumanized into unthinking tools
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."League of Shadows vs the Court of Owls would be so funny. Two shadowy conspiracies, trying to out-spy each other, with completely opposite goals for Gotham but unable to be sure who is who.
I also like the idea that the court is full of themselves and don't have as much control of Gotham as they claim.
Like Bullock says in Gotham " A secret organization running Gotham? Doing a shit job then. "
Good at keeping Gotham down but not good at actually controlling it.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. They only really get involved if someone is about to make some really positive change to Gotham
Their purpose is to enforce stagnation and nothing more because all they care about is how things are
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
OK, please push the conversation back to the Reeves universe. Use the DC Films thread to discuss portrayals of Joker throughout the franchise.
