It’s over, I’ve hollered this thread with the intent that it gets morgued so an actual Troper capable of a wick check can handle it.
Ummm...we'll see what the mods do, I guess...
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAfter two seperate failed attempts at a wick check, I’ve gone to the conclusion that i cannot do a wick check for a large scale Trope, they take days and days to review every single wick a and I don’t feel it’s worth my time, farewell.

I hope you are not reading this as me trying to put you down, OP. That's the truth of it — wick checks are difficult and tedious. But they are necessary if you really want to see how the trope is being used, and they ensure we don't just cut problematic tropes that actually have something to them. Anyone can edit a laconic or add something meaningless to the description, but for a 'duplicate trope' query with 100s of wicks, as someone who now frequently does TRS-related cleanup, I want to be sure that my work is done based on an informed decision.
The intro post to TRS explains their necessity well, and How to Do a Wick Check explains how to do it — if you had read it, you would see that you need to do at least 50, not every wick. There is also a wick check project where you can ask others to pitch in.

So should we scrap together a wick check, or just close this, or...?

It's a good start but you should definitely keep working on it.
