This trope should probably be redefined to something broader in scope, like "Fantastic Cosmology," "Our World Structure Is Different," or "Our Universe Structure Is Different," as its current name and nature are limiting it's ability to do what it's trying to do. As-is, only world types that occur on "planets" qualify. Take things like World in the Sky, Giant Corpse World, Turtle Island (Discworld notwithstanding), or something like, say, an infinite mass of rock littered with infinite swiss-cheese-like caves and tunnels for example. They all should be able to be classified here, but can't be.

Sorry for the delay, ~Napoleon_Blownapart.

However, your original post looks more like a gripe than actually presenting a problem. Has anyone else used the trope to describe a landform that you listed?

Thus, declined.
