Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

Season 255
(Mario(?) wanders off from the Cornucopia in a seemingly deliberate stiff way, humming all the way.)
(He ends up running into the blue pit viper.) Hmm? SNAKE? SNAKE?! SNAAAAAAAAAKEE!!! (He shouts, running away from it emitting his scream from Super Mario 64 all the way. Along the way, he uproots a rose bush and begins throwing roses behind him in an attempt to impede the snake, at one point inexplicably throwing Amy Rose behind him as well.) HEY!!
(The snake's size means it doesn't work, but Mario escapes anyway.)
(Mario ends up joining up with Jim and Gatsby for the creation of a magic potion.) Get ready to move your fingers!
(This version of Mario being a complete idiot, he stuffs items that one wouldn't expect to be put into a magic potion: a plate of spaghetti, two cups of flour, a cow skull, and a computer, among other weird things. He and the others give the end result to Rufus, but they never find out what it does.)
(Somehow, a new Mario Does Things video is filmed mid-season, with Mario reacting to B-movies alongside Larry the gym leader, Gilgamesh, and...a whole entire castle.)
Hey, Stinky! (Mario says when Reptilicus comes up.) You look like [bleep]! Ahahahahahaha!
(Inexplicably, a wave of acid flies out of the screen and hits only Mario, cartoonishly reducing him to a skeleton with only Mario's hat and mustache.) Ah piss. (He says in the TF2 Sniper's voice.)
Eye-Sicle's Lair/Belissima
(With Kelby(?) and Stef #2 down in Belissima, the others figure out what to do next.)
Welp, now that Kelby's back here safe and sound... (Kay says.) ...Uh, gee, guess that means we could end up leavin' here for wherever Kelby thinks we should go next when this all blows over.
I dunno, maybe he'll wanna stick around after seeing how well these guys kept up with us while he was missing. (Moosey says.)
We shall take it up with him when he has recovered, I suppose. (Vincent says.) For now...I suppose we return to what we were doing before and see how the day goes.
Sounds like a plan. (Jared says.)
(Everyone goes their separate ways for now, with Kay and the others staying in the tribute chamber, except for Nina who follows Jared and Miss Ball.)
(It isn't long before Moosey's communicator rings.) Oh hey, it's Velma. (Moosey says. She answers.) Heya, Velma, what's new?
Hey there! We're getting somewhere with Shaggy. (Velma says.) I think we've finally figured out what happened. Shaggy...ate some kind of magical crystal by accident.
A magic crystal?? (Tay asks.)
Like, I thought it was rock candy! (Shaggy's voice can be heard calling.)
Uh, yeah, we were trying to solve a mystery at the mansion that belonged to the founder of a candy factory in our world. (Velma says.) There was a basket full of rock candy in there and...best guess is that the crystal was just mixed in with it.
But what was it even DOING there?? (Mitzi asks.)
Hrm, time/space distortion? I seem to be good at causin' those based on what the Pokémon told me. (Eye-Sicle grumbles, shoving his hands into his pocket.)
It's...possible, I suppose. At this point, I'll believe anything. (Velma says.) But however it ended up there, it looks like Shaggy might be stuck with these powers for...who knows how long. And he's VERY strong, too. We've advised him to use no more than 1% of his power.
(Stanford blinks.) ...Pardon me, did you say just ONE percent?!
Uh huh. (Velma says.) He made every device we used to try to measure how strong he was explode. He even caused the power to go out across the entire community college. We're running off generators right now.
Dear me, I do hope Shaggy is careful. (Stanford says.) If only using 1% percent of his newly gained power could do that, I would hate to see what would happen if he used 100% percent of it.
You and me both. (Velma says.) Well, I figured we should update you guys on what happened. We're still working on getting the Mystery Machine fixed, but at this point we might need to replace it.
Oh, I am sorry about that. (Vincent says.)
Well...it was starting to show its age, anyway, but it sure won't be the same driving a new vehicle. (Velma says.) Guess I'll let you all get back to what you're doing. See you later!

(Stef #1 turns and her eyes widen in shock at the sight of the other Stef.) Oh my goodness, how did you escape?
It's a long story...erm, you'll know once we re-merge. (Stef #2 says.) This is Kelby. He is a friend of Kay and Taylor's who was captured by the evil Stanford. We just managed to escape...
(Some of the other Altfords down here seem reassured; it seems as though it's actually possible for those of them who have already been captured to escape Dark Stanford's lair (but if they only knew what was really going on...).)

(ACME Looinversity seems busy today as the school day is just starting. Many toons of various shapes and sizes are heading inside, though others are gossiping about the previous Hunger Games season.)

(Despite Lisa saying that Aaron wasn't her type anyway, June blushes and feels a bit awkward when Lisa admits she did have feelings for Aaron as well at one point.)

"Kelby" backed down, intimidated by Fair Trial's judging gaze.
That was more of an act, though. If Fair Trial hoped to actually intimidate the hardened, bloodthirsty warrior that was Blood Moon, he was wrong.
Before he could explain himself, Stef spoke instead of him.
"It's a long story, yes... And while I am here before you, I am not completely... Dark Stanford still has many parts of my atoms in his possession. I owe my life to Stef here who... reconstituted me." he sighed, looking at his body, struggling to stay up a bit, as expected from someone whose atoms were missing.
The disguised Chozo then observed the many people around him. Blood Moon especially stared at Stan-shepsut, her Egyptian clothes naturally being more or less similar to Chozo's.
Deep down, he wanted to rip that miserable primitive to pieces for "mocking" his people's culture.
There were also the children. Blood Moon clearly had not the patience to take care of children, even if they were Chozo chicks. He knew he will have to tap into Kelby's DNA to not break out of character when dealing with them.
"I see that Tay and his new friends have been working well since I was gone. They certainly did better protecting you than I did... I really have to apologize to them. I caused more harm than anything by trying to confront that evil fox alone." "Kelby" said to the Stanfords with a sad sigh before wincing.
"Urgh... I would gladly stay to explain everything to you and get to know you more but... I still have to adjust to that weakened body. I think I will find somewhere to rest a bit. Stef? I'll let you reemerge with your other self." the "gecko" kindly said to Stef, leaving her to do that, and bring Blood Moon his next victim.

"...Okay." Lucian said, heading towards the hole, and hugging Oscar, before jumping. Onox and Squishy followed suit.
Soon enough, the team found themselves in front of the big building.
"Whoah..." Lucian said in awe.
"Grmph... It'd better be worth it." Onox said, looking at the statues.
New Pines
"I'm glad that you asked. Well... Yesterday, the Rescue Expedition HQ received some... alarming news about what happened in your new girlfriend's world." Lisa explained.
"Whispering Pines... Yeah, the city has been completely destroyed. And because of that Oscar and Lucian..." Aaron said, frowning, pulling June closer to him, knowing what Lisa meant.
The Servine frowned in concern.
"Did... something happened to Lucian and his new friend?"
"No, thank goodness... But they had to leave for another world. Dark Stanford was after them, so they decided to leave the town so that he would not hurt the townspeople again." Aaron explained.
"I see... Are you holding up? I don't know about your girlfriend and her Thievul, but I know you were quite close to Lucian." Lisa asked. Aaron sighed and hugged tight June.
"We... We're holding up as much as we can. We know they're safe but... it's hard, you know?" he admitted.
"Hmph... Honestly, as long as you are sure they are safe, you should not worry much." Lisa assured. Aaron quietly nodded.
"Anyway. After some debates, the higher-ups decided to send some help there. They despatched the Black Stars to bring me here." Lisa continued.
"The Black Stars?" Tokage asked.
"Yes. That is the name of that rather scary Samurott and his silent Cacturne friend duo." Lisa said.
"Nobuo and Nina... Not gonna lie, it's a kinda fitting name." Alex remarked.
"So... You're going to move your hospital here?" Aaron asked.
"Of course not, what kind of silly thought is that? Ugh! No, my hospital will keep running, I recruited some competent Pokémons to take care of things back home. We are simply opening a new subsidiary here."
"I see. Is Leon with you?" Aaron asked. Lisa used a vine to point outside. In the distance, was Lisa's faithful assistant, carrying an entire wheelbarrow of suitcases.
"Yo." Leon said, waving from afar.
"Hold on, you let him carrying all of that? We can help!" Alex exclaimed.
"I appreciate it but... I would rather not let you dirty my precious stuff." Lisa said.
"Alright. Thanks for the help, Lisa." Aaron said.
"You're welcome. It's what I do." the Servine said.
"By the way, did the HQ sent other Pokémons from home to help?" Tokage asked.
"Not a lot. There were however some staff newcomers that volunteered to come. Pokémons who I have never seen before. One of them is a blacksmith, and the other a dance teacher."

Power then folds her ears when Gordon snaps his Infinity Gauntlet and disintegrates Elastigirl and Nala along with three others.
"Aww... I was rooting for them too, especially Nala since she used to be 6k1's tribute in the OT!"
Belissima's Realm
"Oh dear..." says Miranda, "I'm so glad that you two escaped! Feel free to stay here! Belissima will keep you safe!"
"And I'll take you to my makeshift clinic so you can rest, Kelby," says Heart.
Trial, on the other hoof, continues eyeing on "Kelby". He has seen through criminal lies in his career and sentenced them accordingly, but he can't be hasty towards him. True to his name, he has to be fair and impartial towards him even with his suspicions, but there were times when Trial was tricked by rogue Changelings into pleading them innocent. For now, he believes "Kelby"'s claim that he's tired from the escape, but he hopes that the Altfords don't turn against him if he turns out to be wrong.
Meanwhile, Moon is busy mixing her ingredients in a cauldron she found in another pile, hoping she can make herself useful during these tough times. She waves to the Stef clone and "Kelby" as they pass by.
"Wow Stef! I didn't know you dipped yourself into the Mirror Pool like Pinkie Pie! And you brought a guest with you?" She puts a stopper on the potion she's making and gives it to her. "Mind letting him taste-test this when he wakes up? I'm trying a new recipe!"

(Mario is abruptly sent back to 79 AD in Pompeii by Gordon. At first, Mario is excited because, being in Italy, he thinks he will have all the spaghetti he can eat...and then the volcano erupts.)
(Mario flails around making a scream that doesn't sound like his voice whatsover before getting buried. A muffled) ASSSSS!! (in the voice of the Angry Video Game Nerd can be heard beneath the ash.)
Eye-Sicle's Lair
Yeah, yeah, we're gonna get him back in one piece, chill. (Eye-Sicle says, getting off his communicator.) I think that was this Mario's agent or somethin' telling me to make sure we got him back to his world alive. Apparently they wanna film him reacting to some trending video game or something.
We always revive them anyway, they have nothing to worry about. (Stanford says.)
(Then Stanford gets a ping on his own communicator. He looks and sees that it's from Argus.) Oh? It seems Argus and Taki wish to come back here. I wonder why.
(Stanford brings them in.)
Hey there, I know we were just here, but we got so caught up with the party yesterday evening that Taki forgot to ask about something. (Argus says.)
Oh? What's up? (Kay asks.)
(Taki motions to the Sapphire.) This!
Ah, yes, that sapphire. (Stanford says.)
I wanna either be rid of it without having to turn back into a statue or at least be able to control it! (Taki says.)
He did sort of manage to control it last time it acted up while we were in the Great Valley. (Argus says.) Based on what he told me, it seems the sapphire is using Taki to protect itself...to Taki's detriment.
Hmm, it seems that the best case scenario is that we might have to figure out a way to remove it without harming Taki. (Stanford says.) I can imagine that it is NOT a pleasant experience for you, Taki.
(Taki rapidly shakes his head.)
Well, I am sure there is SOME way to make this happen... (Tay says.)

(The two Stefs meet back up at the clinic. Before merging back together, Stef #2 whispers in Stef #1's ear.) ...I'm sorry...
For what? (Stef #1 asks.)
(But the two Stefs merge back into one Stef before Stef #2 can answer, and Stef now knows exactly what is really going on. She almost collapses from shock and horror, but just manages to keep a straight face in front of everyone. Nonetheless, she still has the knowledge of what will happen if she tries to double-cross Blood Moon.)
M-My apologies, it's always disorientating when this happens. (Stef says in case anybody noticed her facial expression after becoming one whole stegosaurus again.)

(As Bugs leads everyone toward the building, they pass by a certain pair of bunny toons, none other than Buster and Babs Bunny (no relation). They look a little put out, as if they just had to listen to someone blather on and on about something.)
What's up, fellas? (Bugs asks them.)
Plucky's head is up, that's what. It's way up in the clouds! (Babs says.)
What do you mean? (Oscar asks.)
(Just then, Plucky, wearing sunglasses and a large medal that he appears to have made himself, passes by everyone.) Make way, everyone! Champ coming through! 'Scuse me, little people... (He says. Most of the toons he passes by look rather annoyed with him. It's clear Plucky has been patting himself on the back for a while already.)
Eh, he became champ in the last season of the Hunger Games. (Buster says.) The way he's acting, you'd think he just swept the Emmys.
Eh, pride goes before a fall, doc. I figure Plucky'll learn he shouldn't be rubbing it in soon enough. (Bugs says.)
Who are these fellas, anyway? (Buster asks, noticing Oscar and the others.)
Some visitors lookin' to get a crash course in bein' a toon. (Bugs says.)
Yep! We're from a whole other universe that's less toony than this one! (Dess says.)
Heh, figured soon enough we were gonna get visitors from another universe. Everybody's doing the whole multiverse thing nowadays. (Buster remarks.) But hey, you couldn't 'a picked a better place than ACME Loo. You're learnin' from the best around here.

Hey, it's not like Kiki and Lulu are alone out there, anyway. They've got our dad, Dess, Onox, and Squishy with them, and we've got friends in the world they went to, too. They're in good hands. (August says.) Thanks for coming out here, by the way. I figure we need all the help we can get.
Yeah, we appreciate it! (June says.) I figure Auntie Lilac won't mind you stayin' here, and the inn's by the beach if you were lookin' for it instead...where are she and Grampy, anyway?
Maybe they went to the restaurant. I know Grandpa likes to go there for brunch some mornings. (July says.) ...I haven't seen or heard Phoebe either. Wonder what she's up to.

"A makeshift clinic, you say? You got my curiosity up, heh..." Kelby said to Heart with a small smile.
Walking towards the clinic, they came across Moon, who gave Stef a potion. The yellow gecko politely nodded at her. Internally though, Blood Moon scoffed to himself.
Chozo weren't strangers to magic, far from it. Their technology was a mysterious one, akin to it, and the bird-like race did encounter actual magic wielder races, like the Reptilicus in the past. But he was convinced this pony was clearly an amateur compared to them.
Once in the clinic, Blood Moon wasted no time and got to the nearest bed he could find. He breathed heavily and looked at the ceiling, tired, while the Stef merged back together. Though she also lost control, she kept it together.
Of course, her keeping a straight face was helped by Blood Moon himself, who immediately influenced her mind to ensure she wouldn't spill the beans.
"I understand. After our escape, you must also be tired as well." "Kelby" said to her.

Lucian made himself small when Plucky passed by.
"Grmph... I don't like him." Onox grunted. Squishy also hissed, seeing Lucian a bit nervous.
"It's okay, guys. Everything is fine." Lucian assured before turning towards Buster.
"Thanks a lot." the Lycanroc said before glancing at his companions.
"I... I just hope there won't be trouble." he said. Between Onox's brutish nature, Dess's love for pranks, and Squishy's overprotective nature and unpredictability, he hoped everything would be okay and that no one would bully him, or Oscar.
Especially regarding the Zeta Metroid.

"Well, that is quite kind of you. I am going to visit the inn next to see where I should go until I can get a proper house here. I did visit some already and they... were not good enough." Lisa said to July. Alex discreetly rolled his eyes.
"She must probably be with the other rescue teams." Tokage guessed about Phoebe's location.
"Well, we should probably catch up with your grandpa and your aunt to see how they are doing." Aaron said to June, figuring out being with her grandfather would cheer her up.
"Oh... crap, you're right. We didn't even warn them that we were gone last night." Alex realized.
"Well, all the more reason to find them." Tokage said.
"Yeah. Lisa? You're coming with us?" Aaron asked.
"No... I think I am directly going to the inn next." the Servine decided.
"Alright then." Aaron said.
"Fair warning though. You might get across the couple I told you about. The dance master is a rather tall bird, and the blacksmith a small Pokémon with a gigantic hammer. While the former is a perfectly fine fellow, the other, however... She is special." Lisa said.
"Uh... Okay, then." Aaron said, raising an eyebrow. The Lucario grabbed June's hand.
"Alright... Let's go, guys." he said, leading June outside to search for Darnell and Lilac, followed by Alex and Tokage.

The Database Library
While waiting for 6k1 to finish her research, which Ally predicts might take her at least the whole day, the Databot receives a message from the staff that the Gimmighoul managed to sneak into the Restricted Section to look for Gimmighoul Coins. Ally immediately takes the elevator to the 3rd Floor and heads to the door, which is locked behind an electrical forcefield. Next to it is a biometrics system that requires the visitor to confirm that they are either an employee or at least Lime-Flagged (their species' equivalent of 18-19 human years old) and willing to look at sensitive content.
Ally scans herself with it with her visor and deactivates the forcefield, then enters the Restricted Section. She looks around at the various shelves lined with tomes full of forbidden spells, folders holding confidential files, and books containing the most controversial aspects about the Games. None of those books are from the OT since they were destroyed during the Great Destruction, but 6k1 will try to restore them once she retrieves her old Database from the Voidlands.
The Databot searches the mostly empty room for the Gimmighoul while running her Databanks through her Pokédex program. She listens for its cry and checks the carpets for its footprints, then shapeshifts into Falcon Carlos and perches on one of the shelves. Ally scans the entire area with his enhanced zoom lens, and his eyes lock their target on the small Pokémon trying to squeeze itself past a sickly Trainer.
Ally then divebombs into the Gimmighoul, startling it and the Trainer, and chases the Pokémon out of the Restricted Section and the Library itself. He then flies back to the Trainer and transforms into Ralseinote , then introduces himself and explains his shapeshifting.
And we apologize for the inconvenience, but the Gimmighoul entered the premises without passing through security, so it was necessary for me to bounce it out of the Database Library. His voice is as synthesized as Queen's.
The Trainer nods, but coughs into a handkerchief and clutches his chest.
It appears that you might have a serious communicable disease that my current technology might be unable to cure instantly. Please quarantine yourself at the Science Center's Medical Department immediately. Thank you for your cooperation.
"Okay."
The Trainer makes his way out while Ally sprays himself and the shelves with sterilizer. Little does he know that the Gimmighoul would then succumb to tuberculosis after its fight with Candy.
Meanwhile, 6k1 hears the muffled commotion upstairs and tells Mr. Star, "Don't worry about that, that's prolly just my staff dealing with an unruly visitor. But what do you think of what I said a while ago?"
Belissima's Realm
"Okie-dokie! Just lemme know what you think!" Moon says to "Kelby" before going back to her brewing.
Trial and Miranda follow Heart into the clinic while she lays "Kelby" on his bed. Heart then sees the Stefs merge and gently lights her horn with a light green aura.
"It's okay, it's normal to feel that way for a short while, just like how 6k1 takes a while to absorb 6k2's memories when Dupe merges them. Now, you should rest on this bed right next to Kelby while I cast this calming spell on you. Don't worry, it won't hurt a bit."
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"

Very well... (Stef says, climbing onto the bed and laying down.)

A tall dance master bird makes me think Quaquaval...I don't think we have one who lives around here either. This'll be neat! (June says.)
(As they get to the Painted Pier, June quickly spots Darnell and Lilac inside.) There's Grampy and Auntie Lilac! They did go here!

As Soothing Heart tried to make Stef relax, Blood Moon took this opportunity to think about potential problems during his stay here.
Most notably, potential meltdowns, and of course, the need to devour people.
It didn't trouble him much, though. He could always try to get a place isolated in Belissima. As for the food, well... unlucky Panemians would do the job.
Though he had his eyes closed and he tried to relax, not out of exhaustion, but to focus and ready himself, Blood Moon's voice resonated again in Stef's head.
"Already feeling horrible? Tssk... And you wonder why I call you primitive. I had been through worse, you know? Imagine my reaction, when I first woke up with that X DNA... Your thoughts clouded, your once proud body replaced with black, painful goo, and the voices... Ah, the voices in your head... It only got worse from there..." he hissed in contempt and anger.
Blood Moon audibly snarled in Stef's head.
"No matter... The two targets are here. This may be an opportunity... Perhaps it is best that I do it sooner than later. Have one of them stay here, alone with us. I will take care of the rest."

Everyone followed Bugs, with Squishy clearly standing out, the alien ominously walking behind the group, always on the lookout.
Likewise, Lucian and Onox's eyes went wide when Lucian summoned his costume machine from his back.
"Y... Y-Yeah! That is kind of funny. And very practical too..." the Lycanroc giggled, leaning against Oscar.

"We didn't meet any Tinkaton and Quaquaval either... I think this will be a discovery for us." Tokage said to July as the group left the house.
"Yeah, assuming the others didn't bump into them first." Alex cackled.
Soon enough, they reached the Painted Pier. To everyone's relief, Darnell and Lilac were there, perfectly safe.
"Then what are we waiting for?" Aaron said, entering the restaurant with his team and the three Zoroark sisters.
"Lilac! Darnell! Over here!" the Lucario called out.
"You're married like me, you know monstrosity can take many forms."

Ally then notices Mr. Star on 6k1's phone. Apologies if I was interrupting, but are you still having a conversation with him?
"Yeah, I was just about to say goodbye to him," says the DM.
Therefore, I will make this quick: your Lechonk is ready to utilize the Science Center's VR system, while Mr. Star... Ally briefly transforms into Toriel. This was the vessel you last saw me in, is that correct? The reason is that I have since been rebuilt to be more suitable for combat, and Ichigo Montoya upgraded my shapeshifting feature yesterday.

Heart casts her spell on Stef like how she did it on Power when she was recovering from Reboot S100.
"I hope this heals you emotionally like how Ralsei's Heal Prayer cured Pow-Pow's injuries that fateful season..." she says.
However, her spell might not be enough to repel "Kelby's" influence on Stef, though Heart's unaware of it.
Meanwhile, Miranda asides to Trial, "I remember when Heart and I visited her at the Science Center after that Nom Games..."
He sighs. "Sorry for not being there for her, I had an important case study to attend to after that season ended..."
"We suggested to her that she retire from the Games since she went through so much... but now that she's having herself data cloned, I know she'll be alright."
"That's good to hear."
"And I'm glad that you attended Bale's party for her!"
"Heh, other than Giratina having a dad talk with me regarding Scipion, I hope I can attend another party or outing! Provided that there won't be any disaster there." He says the last one flatly.
"I hope so, too..."
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"

That's what we think. (Argus says.) We don't have a lot of magic in our home kingdom, so we thought maybe we could find someone here who could point us in the right direction.
Like who? (Kay asks.) I'd say we should get Wanda, but I dunno if she actually has the power to separate the gem from Taki while keeping him alive.
Oh, wait! I got it! I got it! (Taki says.) We need to get that big guy!

(Hearing what Blood Moon has to say makes Stef shudder, between the way he describes the painful existence he leads now and knowing she has to have either Fair Trial or Miranda stay behind so Blood Moon can...)
(The spell does make Stef relax a little bit, but she knows full well it may not get rid of Blood Moon's current control over her (and she is still worried for the lives of Ivan and her kids), so she cannot completely relax.)
(She flips a coin in her head and calls out to Fair Trial.) Fair Trial? Would you...would you mind staying here a moment? There's...there's something I have to tell you.

...I guess I'm not, am I? (Lyric says. Much to Oscar's shock, Lyric reaches behind his head, pulls down a zipper, and reveals that he is...Bugs Bunny.)
Wh-What? (Oscar stammers.) If Lyric was Bugs, then where-...?
(Then the first Bugs unzips himself as well to reveal Lyric.) Heh heh, I guess we got you. We changed into each other while none of you were looking. (Lyric laughs as he climbs out of his costume.)
That fast?? (Oscar says.)
Well, it WAS a simple matter of whirling around in place for a second. (Lyric chuckles.)
(Now that the surprise has worn off, Oscar comments:) ...I'm impressed, Lyric, you're taking to being in a world like this like a Ducklett takes to water.

She is in a small underwater cavern. (Phoebe explains.) I tried to coerce her out, but she didn't want to leave. She seems...incredibly embarrassed.
But I don't understand, why would she be that embarrassed over... (Shelby trails off as she thinks about Shelley fleeing this morning and how strangely she was acting last night.) ...Oh my goodness, you don't suppose...
Well, with how well the two of you have hit off... (Phoebe says.)

Obviously, the spell didn't remove at all the parts of Blood Moon that the X-infected Chozo injected inside Stef. While Knox managed to drive Blood Moon away from his mind in the dream world, here, in the real world, only something linked with Metroids could force him out.
And Blood Moon was more than aware of this.
Eventually, Stef made her choice.
"The male one...? Very well..." Blood Moon said in Stef's head. From the look he gave him earlier alone, he could tell that this unicorn was... sharper than most others.

"H-H-Huh?!" Lucian stammered in shock when Lyric and Bugs revealed their trick. He and Onox stared at them, shocked.
After the moment of surprise died out, Lucian giggled.
"Yes. You're doing it much better than us. That's impressive."

"Yeah. We're sorry about that. We'll be more careful next time." Aaron said to Darnell as the Rescue Squad sat with June and her sisters. The Lucario then gently put his hand on top of June's and he looked lovingly at her.
"Damn, they're already starting..." Alex said to August, giggling.
"If you want to know how Oscar, Lucian, and Lyric are doing, they are fine." Tokage said to Darnell and Lilac before explaining what they were up to.
Just as Nick was done with his morning sprint, he got back to the inn's entrance, with James and Arthur exiting it.
"Ah! Right in the nick of time!" James exclaimed with a smug grin.
"So you're doing that kind of jokes, now?" Nick remarked while Arthur groaned.
"Huh? What are you talking abou-I mean yes! Yes!! You could say it was a good one, of course." James smugly said.
"Any idea where the Bugtrio are? We searched the tavern for them." Arthur asked.
"Oh, they must have left early to find Shelley and Shelby. They should be fine, honestly." Nick reassured.
"Huh... I guess the kids must still be around Darnell's family." Arthur said.
"Well, In this case, I suggest we start moving around to see if any citizens may need our help." James said to his team.
"Sure thing." Nick said, grinning. Arthur simply shrugged.
Before they could proceed, however, the group looked above in the sky to see a wild Corviknight frantically flying away.
"Oh my! I never saw a Corviknight flying this fast before." James remarked.
"Yeah... It's a bit odd if you ask me-" Arthur said,
"HEY YA DINGUS!! GET DOWN!!" a male voice shouted.
Arthur instinctively looked behind. The Decidueye widened his eyes.
"DUCK!!" he shouted, grabbing Nick and James before falling down. A big rock flew above the team, bounced off a tree, and almost hit the Corviknight.
"Holy...! If we stayed up, we would have lost our heads like Benji! We owe you one, Arthur!" Nick exclaimed in shock.
"G-G-Goodness gracious, what was that???" James stammered, eyes wide.
"The hell I know?" Arthur groaned.
Just then, the trio got their answer. A small, pink Pokémon carrying a big hammer, ran as fast as she could.
"YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT YOU STINKY PIECE OF CRAP. COME BACK AGAIN AND YA AIN'T LEAVIN' AT ALL!!" the Tinkaton shouted in a rough, male-like voice, brandishing her hammer.
"...Is that a Tinkaton?" Nick asked.
"Sounds like it..." Arthur said.
James wasted no time to get up though, concerned about looking stupid if he stayed down on the ground in the middle of the street for too long.
"Oh dear... I am filthy! I need to improvise..." James said to himself, cringing at the bits of mud on his normally clean body.
"AHEM!! Have no fear, dear sir! It does seem like this evil Corviknight is never coming back to trouble you." James said.
"Sir? Who the Distortion World ya callin' sir? Ya got yar guys down on the floor." the Tinkaton said to James, as Arthur and Nick got up.
"W-What? O-Oh! My sincerest apologies, milady." James said, clearly embarrassed.
"Don't you know all Tinkaton are females, James?" Nick discreetly asked.
"I frankly had no idea." James discreetly admitted.
"Alright... What's the deal with the Corviknight? You almost decapitated us with that boulder!" Arthur shouted at the Tinkaton.
"Ain't my fault you're in the way! To be frank, I did warn ya. Never killed anyone with that beauty." the Tinkaton insisted, glancing at her hammer.
"It's fine, just... Don't do that in public again." Nick said.
"Whatever..." the Tinkaton shrugged before looking more closely at the trio.
"Hey, wait a secon'. You're the Fiery Blue Wings, right?" she asked.
"Oh? Do you happen to know us?" James asked.
"Well yeah, I know. Pedro kept talking about you three when he said he wanted to join the Expedition HQ's staff. And then those guys said that we had to go there instead because that town needed help."
"Wait, so you're from home? Like our world?" Nick asked.
"Yeah. Name's Irene. Blacksmith." the Tinkaton introduced herself.
"A... blacksmith?" Arthur asked.
"Yeah! Building armor and weapons for rescuers. Kinda surprised there's so few of us those days." Irene said.
"IRENE!!" another voice shouted from afar.
"Ah. Here's my husband. Pedro sure is taking his time to catch up with me." Irene said. James widened his eyes.
"...James?" Nick asked.
"Dear goodness... I think I recognize this voice..." James muttered.
Eventually, a distressed Quaquaval showed up, running as fast as he could.
"Irene! ¡Dios mío! Irene, are you alright?" he said in a Spanish accent, running towards his much smaller wife.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Showed that blasted bird a lesson." Irene proudly said.
"Oh, Irene... Please never scare me like that again." Pedro panted, putting a wing on his heart, the other one adjusting his hair.
"Urgh, quit touching your hair, honey! They're fine! You ain't gonna catch up with me if you're always touching them!" Irene groaned.
"Are you sure? I really need to keep myself clean at all times. Especially my hair. I would hate it if they are covered by a single drop of sweat! Appearance and style are key to-" Pedro exclaimed. He then looked at the FBW and gasped.
"...¿Qué? James?"
"By Arceus, Pedro! My old friend! It has been so long!" James exclaimed with a big smile, walking towards the Quaquaval.
"James! It is you!! Oh, what a wonderful coincidence! I have been looking for you!" Pedro said, hugging back the Inteleon.
"...Honey?" Irene asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Looks like they know each other." Nick said.
"You know what? I'm not even surprised..." Arthur grunted, the Quaquaval looking as flamboyant as James was.

Heart gradually stops her spell, seeing that Stef isn't getting relaxed as fast as she hoped.
"Can Mira and I stay with you, dear?" she asks Trial.
"If it's that important, we should know this, too!" says Miranda.
He observes Stef but shakes his head. "Why don't you go check on the others in the meantime? This looks like something she wants only me to know."
They both fold their ears.
"As your older sister, something doesn't feel right to me..." says Miranda.
"You need to be open about this to me, too," adds Heart.
Trial sighs. "Do you trust me in this?"
They both nod.
"Then please do as I say and leave this to me. I'll call you with my crystal ball if something else comes up."
"Alright, if you say so..."
Miranda and Heart then take their leave. Once they're out, Trial asks Stef, "What is it? This conversation shall be kept confidential if this is sensitive information."
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"
"Indeed, Pow-Pow."

With everyone leaving, Kelby opened his eyes, groaning. He blinked several times as he looked at Stef and Fair Trial. He took his time to make sure everyone else was away and up to other businesses. Should he be witnessed, he'd have no choice but to kill everyone here in an instant.
"Hmmmm... Ah right. We... It's something we wanted to tell you beforehand, it just... slipped into my mind. Thank you, Stef. I think I can handle it from now." Kelby said, still looking tired.
The yellow gecko kindly smiled at the pony.
"Oh... That's appreciated, sir. You do seem like someone trustworthy. But... there is no need, truly. You see... No one will never know..."
In a blink of an eye, Kelby's eyes turned lifeless white, while still keeping the same, cheerful smile.
"No one will never know that you are all already doomed." Kelby spoke again, this time in Blood Moon's voice.
In a scene worthy of the Thing (fittingly for creatures inspired by it), Blood Moon revealed just how scary the X parasites could be. Kelby's belly opened in half. From it, emerged a big arm that clearly had nothing to do here. Rodriguez's arm.
In an instant, the arm harmlessly, yet firmly grabbed Fair Trial's head and upper body before he could do anything. Though the unicorn's horn clearly pierced Rodriguez's big hand, Blood Moon shrugged it off. As for Stef, Blood Moon once more assumed control, preventing her from moving from the bed, or even talking.
Blood Moon levitated Fair Trial closer to his Kelby face, still keeping his "cheerful" smile, despite the situation.
"Life flashing before your eyes? I can't really blame you... You can scream, but no one will hear you. General Rodriguez's arm will prevent any call for help to reach outside of this room. And of course, you cannot really move. But have no fear. I will not devour you. I am not here to kill you and your pathetic herd... for now, perhaps." Blood Moon calmly said, sighing at the big alebrije's memory.
Gosh, he had been such a worthy opponent. And even now, his strength was very useful. He felt a bit sour comparing this great foe to his two new weak puppets here.
"We have much to talk about, little pony. Stokes, the one and only Stanford Stokes, and my Lord, the great Raven Beak, have many plans for you and Stef here. But first, I'd like to welcome you into my world... Fair Trial."
Just like Stef, Blood Moon started to inject bits of himself into Fair Trial, with the horrific pain it usually caused, the arm big enough that his screams would only be muffled. As he became infected like Stef, Fair Trial would also realize who this horrific shapeshifter was. Not Kelby. And certainly not a Changeling.
Blood Moon. The mad bird-man that tricked the alebrijes and stole the Hypnos-Stone. The mutant that almost got Twilight and her friends. One of the very reasons why he had been evacuated here.
And now he was here. Mere footsteps away from the Stanfords and his family.

The Grimorum Arcanorum. (Goliath says.) Perhaps there might be a spell to help Taki, but it is dangerous. Few know how to wield it. And I believe...Demona may have it.
Who is this Demona? With a name like that, I don't think I'd want to cross them. (Argus says.)
(Goliath's expression becomes a sad scowl.)

I am not afraid to face Demona again for the sake of this fellow gargoyle, but getting her to give up the book, if she has it, will be VERY difficult. (Goliath says.) And if there is a spell that would allow him to live without the stone controlling him, only she or someone else who has used the book would know.

(Stef barely has time to choke out an "I'm sorry." to Fair Trial before Rodriguez's arm bursts right out of the false Kelby's stomach and latches onto the pony. Stef finds herself unable to move or even speak, only able to sit there with a pitiful expression frozen on her face.)

I could show ya how to pull off a great Wild Take. (Bugs says.) They can apply to almost anythin', whether you're scared, happy, confused, or just about any kinda reaction as long as it's funny. I betcha even your alien could pull one off.
(Bugs points to a spot a few feet away from the others.) Howzabout you stand right there, big fella? On that big X Buster just painted there on the ground. (He says to Onox.)

Chapter 10: New Year's Bash (Part 3)
Pythor looked at a few things in his place, he'd been fixing up a few devices to use for his next plan and heard Bluebird was getting helped by Deviot for her plan. He was mumbling to himself a few of his frustrations with his situation.
Pythor: So she gets help but all I receive is getting laughed at, I'm kind of missing the past Legion, at least I had some respect there.
Shuten: Ranting about your luck, are we?
Pythor: Yes, yes so what? Are you proposing something for my next plan?
Shuten didn't respond before the Grand Witch Grandienne, appeared before Pythor and she responded in the Org's steed.
Grandiene: I shall be your guide, your plan interests me. I can help you gather what you need in your next mission. You got 2 tries left so next time is basically your last.
Pythor: Don't remind me, ugh.
Grandiene: I will provide you with all the aid I can, and a special monster to team up with.
Pythor: Your help is accepted, Demon Queen.
She then began explaining what she'll do herself and what he'll have to do, while Shuten just walked away. As with Bale and co., their situation had slightly improved as now the team-up had gained the upper hand on Golgolem, who attempted a hasty retreat from its opposition into the ground, though it was prevented from retreating by Godzilla grabbing its tail once again, Rodan and Mothra joined in as well again this time using their projectile attacks to keep the beast under fire. However, as soon as they were all ready to attack it at once, it growled and began to charge a new attack as its back glowed before unleashing a deadly pulse that knocked its opponents down for the count as it immediately drained their stamina. With no options left, Peridot took it head-on as Kirby did his part in distracting the beast.
Peridot: I'm all alone against you, hyah!
She then swung her mech's blade at the beast, stunning it before using lasers to blast it back. Peridot followed with multiple hooks to its face, she grinned as she gained an advantage while trying to blast its crystal apart, but before she could finish it off, she had a warning of her mech being compromised as unknown to her Deviot had managed to corner Bale with a recovered Pudgy Pig's assistance and now was using a disrupting pulse machine to weaken her mecha to let Golgolem destroy her, it wasn't long before she was once again overwhelmed but as Golgolem prepared to crush her underfoot after downing the mech temporarily and knocking Kirby away, it was suddenly interrupted by a small blue orb arriving and zipping around it before it went after Deviot and knocked him off his feet, freeing Peridot's mecha. It was Xochi in his finished new body

He prepared to blast him with his gun but was distracted when he saw Bale finish off Pudgy Pig after regaining his ground and now charged at him, he was so taken offguard that he tried to get away but was easily bested by Bale. Just before he could be truly beaten, Bluebird appeared and managed to actually tackle Bale enough to stun him, but as she prepared to team up with him, the Gems and Lucina arrived, Xochi having called them into the fray as well.
Deviot: So all of them appear... Now then, let's bring in our own squadron of servants.
However Deviot saw no response when he tried to summon them and Lucina proudly explained what happened.
Lucina: Your monsters are no more.
Amethyst: You thought we were just standing around doing nothing while you fought our friends?
Pearl: They were a troublesome bunch, but let's say I do not appreciate these "holidays" much after that.
Garnet: How about you two give this up, your plan has failed, and we'll make you release the people you trapped at once.
Bluebird: This cannot be! Miserable Gems, you will not get away with this!
Deviot: Miserable little animals! This, I won't forget.
The duo figured they wouldn't win this fight and retreated without further ado, ditching their entire plan there and then. Without much further issue, Xochi joined in on Peridot's mech, amplifying its capacities with his own network until it used a finishing move of firing three laser beams from its face before slicing Golgolem in half with a potent energy slash. The beast was destroyed in a bright flash, and the people used to bring it to life were freed.
Bale: Xochi, Peridot, you guys have done it!
Peridot: Why thank you, it is only logical that I and our AI friend here brought us to success.
Lucina: We're keeping them at bay, though this city will need to heal if we want to move forward.
They heard loud footsteps as Godzilla, Rodan and Mothra approached, the three kaiju looking interested in following them going forward.
Amethyst: What's with the big guys over here?
Bale: I think they want to go with us.
Garnet: It sounds strange, but I have seen that they will be good allies.
Xochi: No need to ask questions about housing, I can arrange that easily. For now take a time to get more shapely, rest enough.
The group celebrated their victory and went back to base, just in time for the new Season as Xochi had prepared the next pair. Deviot and Bluebird returned empty handed and fearful of Dark Bale's retribution, waiting for them were several foot soldiers who looked unimpressed, as well as Sly, Zahab, Shuten, Scorpius, Vexus and the cyborg Hakaider who also weren't impressed by their retreat, luckily for them Dark Bale wasn't there and seemed focused on other issues.
Deviot: Next time it won't be so easy of a victory, Bale. You'll see!
G.S.: And I've already gotten the other ingredients ready, now for those big bucks I wanna see em'!
Deviot handed over a few pieces of treasures for G.S. to sell.
G.S.: Nice going, hope your plan goes well, give me a call for more nasty gasoline you need.

"Good morning, Mira! How's everything?"
She looks at the clinic behind her and tries to make her fake smile look as natural as possible. "Everything is going well down here, just that your dad has two important clients to attend to, but don't worry, I know he'll get this case closed!"
Belissima's Realm
Trial tries to reach for his crystal ball as "Kelby" grabs him on the head with his extra arm, but his magic gets jammed by Blood Moon's corruption. He internally screams while trying to keep his fierce look at the impostor, and a painful memory comes back to him. One particularly rogue Changeling deceived him the same way as Blood Moon and got away with his crimes, and it cost Trial his reputation. However, he wasn't ousted from his position, since as the only judge in Power's hometown after the previous one retired, nocreature else could replace him. Luckily, Miranda consoled him over it, as it was an honest mistake on his part, and he slowly regained the trust of his clients by learning how to Spot the Impostor.
But this time, he let his judgment get the better of him again. Queen Chrysalis may have had nearly destroyed Shining Armor and Princess Cadance's wedding, but she's nothing compared to Blood Moon.

Ally turns back into Garnet just when Mr. Star signs off.
"A lot?" she asks 6k1. But he never saw my first and second vessels in person.
"I guess he saw your first form way back in Reboot S54, assuming that he watched it," she says. "But besides him asking me for updates while I was rebuilding you after Timewrecker killed you, and also being there when Flowey gloated about the Thunderblight's destruction of you during Scipion's party, I don't think he really knows everything about you..."
Honestly, Mr. Star is just as out of the loop as CosmosAndChaos, even if the former goes out significantly more often than the latter.
6k1 shakes her head. "No wonder he used to make small talk with me so often back in the day..."
She then gets her book about dream interpretation and opens it to the first page.
