Total Drama Island Simulator

How exactly is this second season working if there’s only one template?

Well we don't exactly have to follow the challenges word for word, for variety we could just use that as the base line for a skeleton for a similar event one can come up with, such as switching the talent show to a dance-off or battle of the bands.

Basically, as long as the event you come up with follows the same formula as the original, it works.

Anyways it's been a full 24 hours since the season ended, but I'll close the nomination period by tomorrow afternoon as it's rather late where I am.

I'm still gonna need a screener as I'm still feeling burnt out from last time. Sometime this week would be nice.

And about replacing the challenges with new ones that follow the same basic formula, I just had an idea. How about trying to use challenges from the other Total Drama seasons? Would certainly need some research to pull it off but I think it's doable. Just because we don't have a proper sim for them yet doesn't mean we can't try using some of challenges!

As for which of those seasons whose challenges I'll try using first, here's a hint with this new favorite song of mine.

Still no screener? Do I have to teach anyone here how to do them if you don't know how?

It's easy if you have Chrome and you can do it from the get-go, but for some of the challenge pictures you'd have to do a screen and splice it together in something like MS Paint as the length of the page causes the screen capture to glitch out.

To screen in Chrome, just go to the three dots in the upper right corner, go to "more tools", then go to "developer tools" at the bottom. Then, the developer tool window should have its own three dots in its own upper right corner. Click that and go to "run command", then type in screencap. Manage to complete all that and there should be four types of screencaps to use, with the one that does the whole page being the full size one.

Still haven't made the save yet btw, waiting for confirmation on a screener. This is because unlike the Hunger Games, the saves here are actually a one-and-done kind of deal as there's no large amount of tributes being eliminated right off the bat or problematic events or pairings. So thus making saves is easy as running is a non-issue.

If no one comes forward as a screener, then I'll have no choice but to do it myself.

Make sure to use Snipping Tool or Fireshot.

This is my first time of hearing you do this, so I just want to make sure you're good at this. I suggest screening another sim as practice and showing us the results to see if you're up to the task.

There's two image links that are not valid, Bronto Burt and Garrus.

I think you're confusing inputting tributes with screening.

Alivia, I was supposed to make the save as i said I was going to do that. Also, I just told you the other day that you can't post the save on the thread as it would spoil the entire season for everyone. Besides, you didn't even do the save right!

At least no one is actually spoiled as you repeated your save mistake from last time and posted the vanilla version of the sim.

Yeah, no offense but at this rate, best to to let someone other than yourself handle the screens and save given your track record.

Alright, setting up the save now. Should mention that I discovered that the logos of the other Total Drama seasons were in the sim. So naturally, I set it to Total Drama Action. And since the team names can be edited as well, I changed them to their counterparts in Action as well: Screaming Gaffers and Killer Grips.

EDIT: And made the save. I'll give it to anyone who wants to take over the duty of doing the screens, provided that they're experienced with doing screens.

Special Bonus Episode

In special behind the scenes footage of the Total Drama hosts that wouldn't be shown until the show arrives on DVD, the following occurs.

At a building housing the living quarters of some of the hosts due to giving a summer home for them, Valecor and the host of Total Drama Action are called together by none other than Chris McLean.

Hey tall, dark, and evil, thanks a bunch for not helping me out with those pirates that napped me! I had to part with my precious yacht to escape! To you have any idea has traumatic it was to part with her!? So as payback for that, I got together with the producers. For this season of Total Drama Action, the two of you are to be co-hosts!

   Me? Work with him?! Are you insane?!   

I'm not exactly thrilled about this either, that's one thing we can agree on.

Look, how about this? The challenges shall be split between the two of you, and the final challenge shall be shared between the two of you. How's that sound?

   Grrr.... fine.   

Seems reasonable, let's do it.

Nodding at the two of them, Chris leaves. The Total Drama Action host turns to Valecor.

Should let you know that I've gotten rid of those Golden Chris junk, they just reeked of egomania. In their place is another golden idol but far more sensible.

   Good call. Even I know that having a big ego isn't necessarily a good thing. Well while I'm here I've been meaning to ask, who won Total Drama Action out of those fourteen campers that left with you?   

Tom did. He murdered Nemo in front of Asgore and Toriel as revenge against Asgore and made off with the million.

   Damn. I wish I saw that. Oh well, that's what reruns and today's tech are good for now, geh heh heh heh!   

I thought you'd like that. Anyways now that we have no choice but to work together, I see no point in wearing this armor around you. When the camera is on me again, I'll be in my regular outfit.

After the Total Drama Action host goes back to his quarters, Valecor laughs.

   Oh, I have quite a few ideas for my challenges indeed, geh heh heh heh! Now that I'm in a studio setting, I can remake the evil lairs of my allies! The poor campers will never know what hit them, as after all one doesn't simply walk into Mordor! GEH HEH HEH HEH HEH!   

Ok, last call for anyone willing to do screens for me. As I said I really don't want to be the one to do screens as I'm feeling burnt out from last time, but is no one steps forward I'll have no choice but to do so myself just to get the thread moving.

Hopefully this screener problem is resolved in the future as the idea of having one person do it twice in a row isn't exactly fun.

However if there's any problems with the screens I may have to step in and do some myself anyways for quality reasons.

Episode 1

After the show's theme song and title sequence ends, the camera shows the inside of a room in a nice building overlooking the city. Seated at a desk with a television screen behind him is a being wearing dark brown trenchcoat with a matching brown hat. He's wearing some sort of silver high-tech respirator whose tubes light up a neon blue.

Welcome to Total Drama Action, where contestants are competing for $1,000,000! I'm your host, Detective Gamechanger, but you can call me Det. GC for short! Well... actually I'm co-hosting this season with Valecor. You may have heard of that host from Island and I must admit I have a bit of a history with him. He's also among the challengers this season. You may be wondering how he can do that and be a co-host at the same time. Well, he has the ability to split himself up to create copies of himself. Knowing him, I bet he's not even in this to win this and likely has some ulterior motive.

Anyways, unlike Island, in Action the challenges are all about movies. They can be about the process, famous movie moments, or simply part of the settings that make movies cool. Naturally, any work that has a movie released for at least confirmed for it can be represented as one of the challenges.

The screen behind him turns on to reveal a golden trophy of some kid, which has a sphere decorated in stars with words on them resting on top of four spires that connect to the base of the trophy.

In each challenge is a hidden Golden Idol. On the globe of this idol is stars with the names of the challengers, as it's modeled after Hollywood's Walk of Fame. Anyone who finds the idol gets invincibility for that challenger, provided that they don't already have it if their team wins a challenge. However the idol won't be around on certain challenge, such as the final challenge. Now, let's show this season's challengers!

• Waddle Dee performs a sock puppet show for Rarijack, amusing them.
• Sasquatch gives Annie some of his beef jerky.
• AVGN isn't fond of Nagisa, reminding him of a character from a game he hates.
• Annie compliments Chopper on his hat, causing him to hug her.
• Nagisa and Annie compliment each other on their fashion choices.
• Flick offers Sasquatch some bugs but he refuses, given that it's not part of his natural diet.
• Catra likes AVGN, admiring his determination.
• Waddle Dee doesn't like Annie, her attitude reminding him in some way of Queen Sectonia.

Killer Grips Side

On the Killer◊ Grips◊ we have...

• Garrus aims his gun at Bronto Burt, seeing him as some sort of average mook. Bronto is offended and flies away.
• Valecor watches Claptrap from afar, the robot accidentally bumping into a pizza delivery guy and getting into an argument with him as he knocked over some pizzas.    Aww, what odd but somewhat endearing robot! Geh heh heh heh, that sounds like something I could use! I wonder in what ways I can influence him for my evil purposes!   
• Perfuma sees Roddy as a smelly rat, which offends him.
• Feeling miffed over Garrus, Bronto is bumped into by Tyroen as he yells at Tyrone for not watching where he's going before flying away.
• Upon seeing Flutterdash, Bronto grows not fond of the girls as they remind him of Kirby.
• Nick tells Garrus that he thinks he's too trigger-happy, which offends Garrus.
• Perfuma gives some perfume over to Flutterdash, which they appreciate.
• Bronto Burt and Adora bond over their similar colors.
• Perfuma finds Nick to be sleazy and tells him off for it.
• Tyrone and Flutterdash bond over their views on friendship.

The contestants are lead to a rooftop filled with a variety of props, costumes, and video recording equipment for them to use. The detective greets them.

Well my challengers I hope you've been enjoying your stay well. Now, a important thing for anyone that's making a work that they wish to share with the world is knowing their audience, what makes them tick. If you don't keep your audience in mind then that work may not go so well. So what a better challenge to start things off and delve into that topic than with memes?

For today's challenge, you must use what's been provided to you in order to create something that'll hopefully become a viral meme. Sorry for the limitation of what's been provided, but we can't give you everything due to budget reasons. Anyone who doesn't lift a finger to help shall become the test subjects for their team's meme. The judge won't be me or Valecor, but the internet itself. For whoever wins the challenge, you get invincibility for your team and will get t-shirts of the meme you created for all of you. For whoever loses the challenge, well hope you like the public humiliation the internet gives you from the likes of trolls and such.

The◊ challenge◊ begins:

• The one to find the Golden Idol was Tyrone, who found it inside a rubber ducky that was heavier than it should be.
• Chopper, Sasquatch, and Claptrap didn't know what to do and thus became the test subjects for their respective teams. Time to mess with Sasquatch!
• In the end, the Screaming Gaffers' "meme" was a yodeling guy in a shark costume riding a tricycle and juggling bowling pins as he chased after Chopper and Sasquatch. The Killer Grips' "meme" was a mime that breakdances to the tune of whatever is on the radio, dragging Claptrap into his act.

....and it looks like we have a winner! Let's hear it for the Screaming Gaffers!

• Not knowing that Valecor is a bad guy, Tyrone tries striking up a friendship with him. It works like a charm. As soon as Tyrone is out of sight and earshot, Valecor chuckles.    What a naive kid... geh heh heh heh! Oh this is perfect... I can use his naivety to my advantage and corrupt him to my side!   
• Garrus impresses the rest of the team with his marksmanship skills.
• Valecor uses both Claptrap and Tyrone to form an alliance between them and Bronto Burt, Flutterdash, Gaige, and Perfuma.
• Adora is targeting Claptrap, seeing him as a load for the team.
• Garrus is targeting Valecor, seeing him as evil.
• Bronto Burt is targeting Garrus, not happy about being used as target practice.
• Valecor is targeting Roddy, seeing him as too average for the team.
• Roddy is targeting Adora, somewhat fearful of that sword of hers.
• Tyrone is targeting Nick, seeing him as shifty.

Think of it like a red carpet event, expect you're not quite so welcome.
