The Trope Launch Pad discard project is sifting through old drafts with lots of problems and/or bombs. That thread discards the hopeless drafts, but some of the ones we've found are hypothetically fixable.

This thread is for adopting the cobweb covered drafts that the discard thread has rejected for not being entirely hopeless. If anyone wants to tackle the challenge of clearing the cobwebs, you can find the drafts in the "Mothballed" folder on Sandbox.Trope Launch Pad Discard Project.

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.

I...don't really think we need this thread, really. Just bump the mothballed drafts and hope they get picked up. All the work'll be done on the TLP, anyway...

I thought it was a rude/stupid idea to just bump drafts with no intention of adopting them. That's what Madrugata the moderator and Water Blap said.

Yeah, but that's not because we're bumping drafts we don't want to work on, but because just "bumping" a draft contributes nothing. However, we've already been bumping these drafts, marking them up for grabs, and stating that we've come to the consensus that we should salvage the draft. That's different than just going "BUMP" and moving on.

I think bumping threads in TLP we think deserve a discussion is an ok thing to do.

I'm a little worried you guys are bumping too many drafts at once, which might prevent anything substantial from happening with any of them.

[up] I share that concern, that's why I've been pushing for drafts like that to be left alone so that they only get bumped when people are good and ready to work on them. That's why I started this thread, to find those people.

[up][up] + [up] Yeah, I do agree with that, but the problem is that a lot of the drafts were bumped before we even discussed it on the thread— or without much discussion. I don't mind the idea of keeping threads in the back for a while, but I'd prefer if we only bumped a few drafts at a time, figured out whether or not people on the TLP wanted to keep them or discard them, and then bumped a few more, rinse and repeat.
