Interestingly Monica Rambeau is actually more Kamala Khan than Monica Rambeau in the movies, and takes her "Lieutenant Trouble" nickname from Kit Renner who is another tiny Carol fangirl.
It'll definitely change their dynamic assuming they end up superheroing together. I'm guessing Carol did come back to visit earth every once in awhile, nothing says she didn't, so hopefully she got to see her niece grow up.
Depending on when Spectrum emerges maybe Kamala Khan will be a Monica fangirl in this timeline?

The change is even more substantial when you realize that Monica is going to be an adult when Kamala is a teenager.

“Yay, I love my cool aunt!” is not the same as being Kamala Khan.
Yes but "Closer to" also doesn't mean "Exactly like"
Carol and Monica are friends on equal terms with another in the comics, but have a clearly different relationship in the movie.
Well, Monica will grow up and that will change the dynamic.
But yeah, looking up to your cool aunt isn't the same as being a fangirl. In a way this will be the logical progression though...first Carol inspires the females she knows, then they inspire females everywhere.
On a different note: Will Goose be in Endgame?
Goose Will Defeat Thanos
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.Yep, he will just gobble him up.
Endgame starts with everyone suiting up to go fight Thanos. Captain Marvel shows up and gets Goose, whom Thor and Rocket are terrified of. They all show up to fight Thanos, but then Goose immediately just eats him. Half of the rest of the movie is everyone waiting for Goose to hack up the Infinity Gauntlet, and the other half is everyone trying to figure out how to use the Infinity Gauntlet to reverse the Snap (turns out the solution was to put the silly thing in reverse).
If Captain Marvel has a big role in Endgame and also it’s somehow publicly known I can see a period of public adoration for this hero who returned from the stars in Earth’s most desperate hour
And in that crucible a Kamala Khan
And ironically it’s the kind of support comics Carol has been longing for quite a while
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI actually have been wondering if Thanos will be easily defeated early on in Endgame... only for a much bigger threat to emerge.
I only think this because there's been a lack of Thanos in advertising and trailers, leading me to think he's not present in the film much.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationI would hate that. After almost a decade building up Thanos? Hell no, no bait and switch. I want to see him curbstomped.
He's mortally wounded so taking him down probably will be a curbstomp so thats the easy part, the hard part is getting to where he's warped to ,I foresee the Avengers fighting wave after wave of his Children to finally reach him as part of a last stand
New theme music also a boxHe’s just so done with everything at this point.
Would not be surprised if he doesn’t put up much of a fight out of sheer exhaustion.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Something I just thought of that I kind of want to see is a reference to the Silver Surfer gambit from Infinity Gauntlet but instead of trying to snatch the glove when Thanos raises his hand at jussssst the right time
Carol accelerates as fast as she can and cracks him across the jaw while he’s distracted with the rest of the cast
Forever liveblogging the AvengersMy money is on a lot of time travel during Endgame (didn't the director mention Star Trek TNG "All good things" as a reference?), so I keep expecting some kind of reset button for fixing the snap. Depending on how it takes place, this could prevent Carol to become too widely known. Then again, she now is probably the most powerful hero in the MCU (though Thor with Stormbreaker might come close), so any appearance from her is guaranteed to bring her share of followers.
I'd be happy with a Kamala reference in Endgame, but I'd also perfectly understand if they kept it for Captain Marvel 2.
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.I think I remember an older interview where they flat-out said that Endgame wouldn't have time travel, though they could have been lying. They lied about Endgame's title being a huge spoiler that no-one had guessed yet.
Hello, having some behind the scenes dancing:
Seems like they had fun behind the scenes.
...The amount of Fridge Horror in regards to the ship of Skrulls that Carol kills early on just occurred to me. Going with the Skrulls at the end was probably a case of Must Make Amends.
They did take her prisoner, hang her upside down, and steal her boots
It wasn’t a great situation to wake up in without context
Forever liveblogging the AvengersOh yeah, not even Talos held her reaction against her. It's totally understandable. But I can still see her feeling extremely guilty in hindsight.
It’s an interesting and welcome contrast to Carol “will watch a Skrull asphyxiate” Danvers of the less good comics
And if things take a page from the movie I will not complain
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThe "boots" part of your post made me laugh, cause it sounded like Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptation
I want a sequel that explores a bit of what happened in the 20-year-gap, but mainly takes place on Earth post-Infinity War. Mainly because I want to see Monica Rambeau and also introduce Kamala Khan.
