I'm strongly inclined to make this a BUPKIS page...the current doesn't work at all IMO.
Pull, maybe BUPKIS. The large line break next to the image ruins the attempted subtlety even without Night Vision turned on. Not sure if the line break is due to wiki software changes or due to the hard-coding being an old addition that's incompatible with newer browsers (using Firefox 65, if that matters).

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. Can someone run this page through Wayback Machine and see if there's an older version that works better? I feel like this is something that may have worked in the Eddie days.
In this 2012 archive and this 2009 archive, the large line break is still there, except the image is broken in the latter, and the line break is slightly smaller in the latter (though maybe the non-functioning image's placeholder is affecting the text less than an actual image).
Edit: Oldest archived version, and the now-broken image has a slightly smaller line break than it does now. That said, there are no on-page examples, so it's the last non-index thing on the page instead of being surrounded by other stuff. Not sure if that means anything when the image doesn't display.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Perhaps BUPKIS is the way to go.
(Annoyed grunt)If we can recreate the concept of the current page image without hardcoding or night mode unfriendliness, I'd be more willing to do that. The joke itself already works.
Otherwise, I'd go with 7.2.

mwopCurrently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness
Clock is set.
I've managed to somewhat recreate the page image concept but without using the hardcoded image: Subliminal Advertising
mwopI kinda like that...I made a couple of small tweaks. How's it look?
Hitting the snooze.
Looks good. I tried out moving the subliminal text nearer to the "examples" section so it's hopefully not quite as obvious on first sight, how do you feel about that?

Works for me.
And me.
(Annoyed grunt)Reclocked; any other votes?
Way too obvious to me.
Yeah, the external link icon kind of gives it away.
mwopIs there any way to see what Iwantedtoaddsomething's suggestion looked like now that the sandbox page has been changed?
^ I thought that's the "tv tropes rules" label in the bottom right corner. It's too obvious for my taste.
Same here, and I agree with what's previously been said about the external link icon giving the image away.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Just curious - when I see the sandbox version on my widescreen monitor, the "tv tropes rules" is just enough in my peripheral vision that I don't immediately focus on it. Is the effect ruined on a phone/tablet or laptop?
Maybe small laptops, at least, like the one I'm using. At the very least, Night Vision (which I don't usually use, but tested it with) makes it significantly more visible, since the color for it doesn't get inverted like the main text. That said, the actual image works fine on Night Vision, aside from the external link icon.

Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
The line "Wish we could help you with that anxiety" is hardcoded to display the propaganda image to the right of the page whenever it appears with a period at the end, is not mixed with any other characters (including tags that cancel themselves out immediately), and is not wrapped in [= =] tags.
Example: Wish we could help you with that anxiety.
Two problems with this: 1. The propaganda image has heavy jpeg artifacting and isn't night-mode friendly. 2. Why is this hardcoded? Can't normal image tags allow images to display to the right of the page without appearing at the top?
