this character is going to be the most obnoxious character to fight
projectiles, double jumps, controllable super jumps, a slide that goes like half screen, an annoying voice and personality
this is the kind of character that will get all of the salty hate messages

So I'm assuming with the base roster being revealed 5 months before actual launch we're going to get DLC and/or bonus characters announced before launch right.

Yeeesh at least when Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid came out with a small base roster they only sold the game for 20 bucks.

Marketing this as "fighting game with an rpg attached" probably hurt this in the long run, I don't think "rpg with fighting game attached" would make the roster seem this egregious.
Five humans, three Erune (arguably five given Lowain's trio), two Draphs, one Harvin, and no Primals in the roster, I wonder if Cygames will care about the imbalance (though to be fair, Harvins are probably the most difficult to implement) or not with the upcoming DLC.
It depends if the bonus mode will be substantial enough to justify the price point. Honestly I'm not that miffed about the base roster size, 11 is kinda lowballing it but it's still a pretty standard size for a 1v1 fighting game that's a completely new IP. I get why people are upset, though. Maybe when the game comes out in America they might pull a Samsho where the first season pass is free for a week or so.

GBVS just got announced to be one of the two games featured for this year's ASW World Tour, the other being Blazblue Cross Tag Battle. They said the tour is going to be helped by Cygames, so it makes me wonder if the prize pool might be larger than your average fighting game, ha.
