Without further context I'd think it's a setting trope.

So, could it be worth to make a characters-specific Sister Trope to Sparta And Athens? Like "Warrior And Diplomat"?

Is Calling the Old Man Out considered a character trope or a story trope?

It sounds like a single action, so it's not characterization.

Would the Accidental Hero trope count as a character trope if it only happens once or twice?

And what about Running Gag?

Running Gag is definitively not a character trope.

Just wondering but can Died Happily Ever After, Died in Your Arms Tonight, or Dying Moment of Awesome be applied to characters?
