Sally looks down at her feet. She knows what to say but, does not want to get too personal too fast. She looks back up.
"Well, I want to be a hero like my foster mother. I look up to her greatly and she does a lot for me. There is a lot more but, it is rather personal. Regardless, that is why I want to be a hero. I plan to keep my grades up in the As and Bs. I also want to have a fun year and make friends." Sally says, smiling a bit.

Okay! Zach said as he clapped his hands JUST softly enough to not MAKE a clapping noise. He did need to keep in character, after all. I think everyone is just about ready, yeah? All we're doing is taking up space in the hallway when we can head out and get some damn candy! he threw a fist into the air in an excited manner.
He paused.

"I guess, I simply wanted to prove something" He admitted "Well, the incident that gave me my dragon powers costed me my parents, and due to several incidents, I had nearly caused a tragedy, hell, I've been severely sedated more times than I'd like to admit. I want to be a hero, even with this... really mixed blessing" With that, he continued to work, just to keep himself busy.

Dorm One - Demons and Stuff
Bouncing excitedly, Herschel bounded towards the door with Fluffy. Rather than wait for her to open it, however, he pulled her through a black swirl, teleporting them (and anyone currently touching Fluffy) out into the parking lot.
Smiling as they left, Mikael nodded as Ellie put a hand on Sam's and Shane's shoulders. "Last call for the demon rave!" She called out into the dorm hallway, in case anyone else was coming. "Let's get this party started!"
After making sure everyone who wanted to come was there, they warped away.
Parking Lot
They reappeared out of thin air, Herschel wagging his tail excitedly. He sniffed curiously at Orthus a moment, before barking in greeting at the fellow canine.
Freisch Manor - Demon Rave Party
Mikael's grandfather's house was big. Very big. Big enough that it was classified as a 'manor', at any rate. The architecture was gothic, a gloomy castle-esque place that only looked gloomier in the shadows of the setting sun.
Acres of empty land surrounded it, rolling expanses of grass that quickly gave way to thick trees. In the distance, if one looked out past the iron gates of the old estate, one might see the small town that the manor was technically part of. But the party was in the opposite direction.
Ellie and Friends appeared behind the manor, at the mouth of a small path that wound through the forest. Mikael appeared a few seconds after them, a huge pack slung over her shoulder and a cooler the size of a mini-fridge casually held under one arm.
"Welcome to Haus der Freisch." Mikael said to the assembled party-goers. "We would have 'ported straight to the campground, but I wanted you to know where my house was in case of emergency." She smiled. "Also, I like walking through the forest. Camp's not far, at any rate - about a thousand feet down this path. Shall we?"
Taking Ellie's hand, the two demons began to lead the way to the campsite. The forest was quiet, and peaceful. For now, at least.
In under a minute, they reached a well worn campground - a huge fire pit, centered in a grassy clearing easily a hundred feet across. It was also next to a large lake. The cool, calm waters reflected the rising moon, as Mikael spat into the fire pit, and a bonfire burst into existence. She dropped her stuff, unzipping his pack and beginning to pull things out of it.
"I'll get the tent set up." Mikael said. "Stuff for s'mores is in the cooler, somewhere under all the booze, and off to one side of the lake there's a little natural hot spring, if you'd like. Go nuts."
Ellie almost immediately kicked off her shoes and dove into the lake, her outfit transforming in a bikini mid-jump, making a huge splash as she did. Popping up, she waved to her friends. "Come on in, water's great!"
What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?
Supercity Street
By this time, Orthus was to ready venture out in the world of trick or treating with Perry and her friends by his side. The nearest street was dark and damp, and filled with all sorts of brightly lit houses. Perfect for trick or treating. Numerous children and even the odd teenager strode down the sidewalks, filling their bags and baskets with all sorts of goodies. In fact, one such trick or treater had just come out from a house with an entire bucketfull. With any luck, their own escapdes would be just as profitable.

Thankfully for both the general public and the heart rates of her new friends, Yoko was gracious in her decision to put off shifting into the form of a noppera-bo in favour of a more innocent, decidedly more male
◊ disguise—the still-present foxlike traits reinforcing this body's status as a Distaff Counterpart to her previous female form rather than some randomnly-selected masculine body. Although it seemed to be noticeably younger and considerably shorter—and as if to enhance the disguise's potential cuteness factor the fur on its ears and tail had seemed to fluff up and become more silken than when she had been in her female form.
Yes, even her voice had dropped a little. Not by much—the form looked young enough anyway for a more effeminate tone—but Yoko's voice was naturally of a very high pitch. Too high even for the disguise of a young teen, unfortunately. Her enthusiasm hadn't left her voice, however—in fact her tone seemed even more energized and bouncy when attached to the more animate and youthful face. Though that may have been the fact she was positively vibrating with excitement at the novelty of Halloween anyway.
“Ooh, this is like a procession~” she giggled, keeping a respectable distance away from Orthus despite herself. “Like a Hyakki Yagyō. We just need little lights. Ooh, wait!” she exclaimed, before seeming to concentrate and scrunching up her nose. Her previously melded tail split into two and began to twitch and rub against the other; causing ethereal, bluish sparks to fly out from them and congeal into one another. Soon enough, the group were surrounded in a light swarm of ghostly orbs—one for each person present—floating gently in the air alongside them and following them as they walked.
“Won't be scary now we have light,” Yoko smiled—an odd somberness and nostalgia seeming to cross her slitted eyes at the admittedly rather beautiful phenomenon. “You can touch them, if you want. My kitsunebi won't hurt you. They tickle~”
Her voice had reverted to that of childish humour at that last part, but there was no mistaking that the fox had sounded distinctly older at that brief moment in time. Even now she still seemed a little distracted—perhaps even a little teary-eyed as the soft glows of the phantom lamps reflected off of them.

Perry romped down the street, looking cheerful. Lucky batted at one of the kitsunebi, starting to play with it. Rollo even licked one. Pip croaked from rooftops, sounding more like a crow than a cockatoo.
She knocked on one door. A hand reached out and deposited a small chocolate bar on the ground. "Thank!" she said cheerfully, taking it.
The old, gnarled hand patted her on the head and retreated.
Perry returned to the group. "You all follow me," she said with some degree of seriousness. "Not get lost in Other Place."
With that, Perry had her spirit friends pile into her pockets, setting off to do some trick-or-treating.

Sally went to Ryuu. Hearing about what he said about his past, it was rather sad. She goes to him and taps his shoulder.
"Hey Ryuu, can I help string the lights with you? She says while trying to give a reassuring smile.
SQUAD 3 - SUPER CITY STREET (Finn)
Finn kept following the others. He wanted to be the lead but, he didn't want to hog it from the others.
"The night is going well. I do miss taking Celia trick or treating but, I know my old man is supervising her this year. Also, I am having a fun time with the others. They're all pretty cool." He thinks to himself.
Looking ahead, Finn sees a giant mansion. It was all decked out in holloween decorations from what he could see. He points to it and says:
"Hey, that place looks like a jackpot! We should go to it!"

Well, I'm actually starting to consider being an hero here...originally, I wanted to master the masks' powers so that, one day, I could finally defeat Dementius...even though a little help would be fine...I mean, I still want to accomplish that...maybe my actual objective is to hunt Dementius down...since last month, the wretched arachnid has actually considered stalking me... , Dante told everyone.
He might be everywhere...even on this house... , Dante said as his voice started to sound more unnerved.
Now, now, Dante. Don't be so paranoid! , the King tried to reassure him.
You might know everything I'm going to do...but that's not going to help you, since I KNOW EVERYTHING YOU'RE GOING TO DO! STRANGE, ISN'T IT?

Shane looked down at the message from Dawn as he got ready for the party at Mikael's place. He texted her back saying he thought she looked cute in that. He was relieved Mikael had a place like this, but this did come off as kinda horror movie like.
He followed the two along to the camp site, just as well amazed by how huge Haus de Freisch was. He took in everything as he went out to the campsite - just because Shane was off on Halloween did not mean his more pragmatic instincts did not shine through. Though he did still make it not extremely obvious.
I mean, horny teenagers go to their friends place, while the parentals are out, and intend to make merry...the only thing missing is a crazy bastard with an easily identifiable gimmick.
He licked his lips and thought about what'd happen if some creeper showed up. Heads he just ran off when he saw the teenagers had powers, Tails Shane got a new chew toy.
Van
"Now now, I wouldn't say I'm that interesting..." He then watched Aster's entrance into their wrecked training room and commentated wryly, "Now that is...um, interesting."
He could detect an odd twinge of something beyond the human sphere on this person through his vampiric senses, but he couldn't tell what.
The vampire then asked Ash, "So uh, Ash, you doing anything for Halloween?"
He cast another glance at the newcomer, trying to ascertain what their deal was.

Fluffy giggled at the floating light following her around, trying to merge it with her sheep plush - only for it to fall unceremoniously to the ground. With a disappointed hrmph she picked it back up and nodded to Perry's advice. "Can do, can do~"
Of course, immediately after Perry said that, one of the new students Finn pointed out a big obvious haunted mansion. "Seems legit. Think it has haunted house reviews on Yelp?"

Oh jeez, another one...?
“Yo,” Ash greeted the newcomer, trying to disguise her sigh—only to wince a little with guilt at the girl's clear confusion as to what had happened to the training room. It did sort of look like a bomb site.
“...Uh... whoops? Sorry, man. Enthusiasm and all that s***. I'm sure it'll get fixed up easy enough. Plus it's like #$&%ing hard-light or somethin'. We could just patch it up in simulation,” she shrugged, her brain racing for a solution that wouldn't get her another trip to detention. “As for how this happened, well... apparently badass #$&%ing vampire + crazy-ass #$&%ing pyro = a lot of #$&%ing collateral.”
And then some Transformers s*** happened, and her eyebrows raised in surprise. It looked a little... painful? It certainly didn't look natural. Then it apparently said something risqué—at least judging by the girl's clear embarrassment. Ash could only send a helpless glance over to Van.
What is even happening...?
“Uh... we don't speak whale, no...”
She was thankfully drawn out from her inner musings as to how a metal skull could even procreate by Van's abrupt question about whether she was planning anything for Halloween. Grateful somewhat for the subject change (pondering over the sexual exploits of a living metal creature who spoke in whale song was not how she expected to spend that evening), she turned to him—only to pause as his phrasing of the question fully hit her.
...Huh. It kinda sounds like he's... eh #$&% it.
“Nah, I ain't got nuthin' planned. #$&%ed up on the whole costume deal. Mainly in regards of ‘having a #$&%ing costume’ to begin with,” she replied in a casual tone, though keeping a careful gaze on him still. She wanted to garner his reaction. If nothing else it'd be interesting.
How the heck did today even happen?

Aster scratched her chin and said cheerfully, "Well...I haven't planned anything either, but I do want to wear a costume for the rest of the day. I'll show it to you right now!" The lizard skull hummed a note of whalesong before receding.
A few small lumps bulged along some of Aster's veins before her whole body started to warp. Jagged metal sheets started to twist out of her flesh and interlock, forming a set of twisted, dark armor. Her "helmet" oddly had a slit, but nothing could be seen inside.
And then the slit flared red and Aster moved to make a "ta-da" motion.
"I hope you'll be able to decide what to wear soon. Halloween is no fun if you don't get to play pretend," Aster said, as though nothing had happened. Her voice sounded tinny and muffled from inside the armor.

Sam whistled as he gave Mikael's home.
"Nice place" He commented. He wasn't worried for anything happening. If worst comes to worst, the manor probably has enough weapons inside to make sure any idiot is sorry for messing with them.
Taking off his clothes, and putting on his own swimsuit was as easy as lifting an igloo and changing in peace for him. Leaving his things aside on a box of his own making, he jumped into an ice platform. Once he was over the lake, he simply dropped into the water, with surprising grace.
"Well, time to party" He said, as he resurfaced. Running a hand through his hair, he simply enjoyed the simplicity of everything.
Ryuu just smiled at Sally, and took one end of the lights, handing her the other.
"Time to work" He said with a nod at her.
As long as he could keep busy and helping out, he feels he could get through everything.

"Well, I say we go right ahead! Let'sgo gang, let's go!" With that, Finn took off running. It was a bit of a run but, he made to the door in a minutes and knocked on the door. Standing next to the area felt eerie, more eerie than a usual Halloween house.

Having spotted Fluffy's difficulty and subsequent disappointment in her attempts to make her sheep plush and the kitsunebi “meet”, Yoko gave a soft smile and walked over—several of her own kitsunebi following her in the form of an aura as she gently plucked the plushie out of Fluffy's hands and pushed it against the lamp herself. Once it was centered, she lifted her tail and brushed at the kitsunebi lightly—causing it to arc slightly with energy as it enveloped the plush like it were a bubble.
“It's like a little sheepie balloon,” she quietly giggled as she pushed the kitsunebi and the plushie back towards Fluffy, grinning as she made a shushing motion with her finger. “Just ask next time, 'kay?”
With her little deed done, Yoko returned back to her original position in the little procession—more out of habit in her times attending the aforementioned Hyakki Yokyō than anything else. Upon seeing the haunted house (and Finn immediately running up to it), the kitsune picked up the pace a little in order to catch up; form morphing into an eerily tall and emaciated ghoul of a figure with a distinct lack of face. As she stepped into place alongside Finn—patiently waiting for the door to be answered and seemingly ignorant to the uncanny atmosphere—a low-pitched rattle seemed to issue from her form, like a raspy, thickened mockery of breathing. It was an abrupt shift from the kitsune's previously sweet and cheerful behaviour just seconds before.
But then again, her kind weren't known as tricksters for nothing...

Very Obviously Haunted Mansion - Felicity "Fluffy" Shepherd
Fluffy giggled as Yoko made her a little sheep balloon. "Thanksies, can do~" She then proceeded to bounce it from one palm to another before letting it float casually over her shoulder.
Then Felicity made a bit of a face at the new kid running off at the spooky mansion that raised some very obvious red flags, especially after Perry told them not to wander off away from the group where they might be led to the "Other Place" (spirit world, presumably). This definitely seemed like the exact sort of scenario that would lead to Other Place shenanigans and watching Finn running off without a care in the world made Fluffy sigh. Well, at least having a yokai like Yoko with him lowered his chances of being spirited away.
She did a quick assessment of the group, not wanting Perry to get into haunted shenanigans during her night of candy. Then Fluffy waved over the Alexes. "Think you could have you apart from yourself for a bit? Wanna make sure the newbies don't get into trouble... will bring Hershey and one of you with me, one you can let the other you know what's happening and Hershey can jump us out. That way Perry can keep getting treats safely and not worry too much. Plus, Fluffy thiiinks yokai should be sensitive to spirit shenanigans?"

Perry looked at the "haunted" house critically.
"No worry. That house not actually haunted."
She still kept a watchful eye on everyone, however.

Take your time and find your way, O' Prince of the Carnival." It lacked her usual emphasis that she was there, but if he had forgotten already...

"Well," having finished mixing pumpkin pulp into pies and sent the jack-o-lanterns outside to glow, Mahvash twirled from around the counter to take the center of the room and face the others. "I do believe we're due to start some team traditions. Maybe we can start working on Ginyu style poses... or practice a motto we may or may not rip off from Jessie and James... or something else? What do you have in mind?"
It occurred to her, given the recent exchange, that her group may have been in dire need of silly, pseudo-familial traditions. Besides, traditions and 'bonding' helped with unit cohesion, naturally.
Squad 2 Chez La Langley
"Iris, can tell us when she gives us the grand tour." Mahvash said to the salamander while balancing an armful of ghost lights. "There must be all sorts of great things in here. The House Langley obviously knows how to treat a patron.""So my squad," she had moved on to making jack-lanterns by making literal hair-line cuts with her hair through the pumpkins and sucking out the pulp with negative pressure around her fingertips. Training took many forms. "What are your plans for the year? What do you want to get out of this academy? And, yes, 'learning how to be a hero' is the tagline, but it doesn't mean anything by itself. If you're learning to be a hero you must want to gain something, but what?" Look with century eyes...
