Just a listing of election practices in various countries. We also have Election Day Episode for elections as a trope in fiction.

Link: Election Night.

Not only that, it’s written in a weird conversational style, and some of the information seems irrelevant or possibly incorrect.

Why does this exist? Cut it.

Cut. It looks more like a forum thread than an article, which isn't what trope pages are for, and there are no on-page examples. Election Day Episode can cover episodes about elections, and existing Useful Notes pages about countries and their politics can cover actual elections.

Plus, the bottom of Election Day Episode's description is inaccurate. It says Election Night covers tropes related to elections, which implies that it's an index, but it isn't and what's there is such a mess that it doesn't do a good job of covering such tropes. It doesn't help that the blue links on that page are often weblinks or sinkholes instead of links to politics-related tropes.

Yeah, I can't really see a point to this page.

I too fail to see any value in retaining this page.

Bump. Looks like there's a consensus for cutting.

Cut: Not relevant to TV Tropes' mission.

Can we go ahead and cut this? I found this "trope" because I made a work page for a film called Election Night, and I just found yesterday that someone changed the URL of the work page to Election Night (1998), to differentiate it from the trope Election Night, which isn't really a trope and should have already been cut.

Perhaps it was because it wasn’t dewicked yet.

Should I just resubmit, then?

You can try. Maybe ask mods.

~Twentington unilaterally made the page into a redirect to Election Day Episode on August 26, which may explain why the page wasn't cut. The request was declined on the same day.

Anyway, I'd say making it a redirect is more appropriate, as it has over 450 inbounds.

I redirected it because it was unindexed and barely had anything left.

Making the URL into a redirect to Election Day Episode is reasonable.

I agree that making it a redirect is reasonable.
