Did not expect sorta-playable Bella. I don't care if they don't turn out to be meta, I'm rolling for both the Herrscher of Thunder AND the ELF.

Siegfried? He'd probably be more popular than Whatsyourname at least. I'm not sure how Wendy's gameplay would work, considering she doesn't really have a weapon to speak of (save for the wind).

…I'm a bit surprised the new ELF isn't Tesla Zero. It would have made sense.

I see calls for Sin Mal too among GGZ and lore fans to complete the orphanage quintette.

For male valks, there's also Welt and Kevin. The latter, in particular, brought about a spike in demand for the male characters in the storyline becoming playable when those unfamiliar with the manga first laid their eyes on him.

And in the rare chance that Wendy does become playable, I imagine they'll pull a Kallen and have her play differently from the boss version and give her a dedicated weapon.

Was Sin Mal playable in GGZ? How was she like?

Never played GGZ so I can't say.

I've only read the fantranslated GGZ manga, where she's shown to be heavily abused by her parents and only wants to be friends with Bronya but lacks the humanity to understand why others are horrified when she, for example, literally cuts a group of soldiers into pieces.

Definitely a more fascinating character than the one we've seen so far in HI 3

After a long, looong update and a few reboots, I finally got to play 4.0!

The event story is a direct continuation to HK0 and damn is it a sad one. Makes you want to revive Tesla Zero alright. Astrologos' gameplay is… peculiar, but interesting. She seems tailor-made to serve as support for Excelsis, what with being able to use her ultimate without needing to switch in.

Oof, I came into this event expecting a silly romp like the Honkai Kingdoms and Odd Drifter events that the prologue referenced

I was not prepared for the first day of the event to involve a Cycle of Revenge that ends with everyone dead or insane, and the second day of the event to involve Poor Communication Kills that leaves all three kingdoms and their main players either dead or very broken .

You know, between this and HKZ I'm very confused by the timeline…

The Captain is apparently trying and failing to return to his present, but why did he even come to the past in the first place? Why doesn't he remember Tesla Zero? Why does Kongming not realize he and "Mr. Assassin" are the same person? And why do they mention Roza, Lili and the "real" Theresa all of a sudden?

Im always confuse on these events.

There's a reason I just skip the story on these things. Well that and it's technically non-canon stuff that's a sequel to events I missed.

I've gotten into the happen of skipping Captain events entirely at this point.

I'm not saying I'm skipping the "captainverse" events, just that it's kinda slow for me to add the infos for the character pages.

And well, it's rare for event stories of all things to have continuity, don't they? Folks at China just adores the story of Captain and Event Theresa.

And now they're pulling a Steins;Gate on us.

Whoa whoa, what's up with these girls trying to strangle each other ... First, HoV!Kiana on Mei, now HoT!Mei on Kiana...

I would wait until I understand the full context (watching the story in full) before I can comment on it.

Based on comments in Reddit, Facebook, Youtube and other places, pretty sure English-speakers adore him and his meme-filled adventures just as much. Not too surprising considering how popular the Isekai genre is right now amongst the anime fanbase, and how the most popular anime Gacha games features a self insert involved in the storyline.

Personally, I'm fine with the Captain-verse as long as he doesn't start getting into the canon lore and steals the limelight from the pre-existing characters. Which, I suspect, is part of the reason why he's only in non-canon stories. His events draw in the gamers that want to feel like they're part of the game's story, while the fact that he's non-canon makes him largely harmless for players that came into Honkai Impact because it isn't like other Gacha games.

Ah, looks like I need to decrease my Internet browsing time until the next chapter is unlocked. <.<;

Seems like Carole's switch-cancel in PHO was fixed. I liked it, but I can understand Mihoyo's frustration when seeing that their carefully crafted game mode became a contest of "which Carole can uppercut the best."

Thankfully I managed to get a high enough score before the patch. With the glitch of course. :P

And I didn't have the time to master it enough. I still haven't beaten floor 23 actually. =.=" Judgement always takes too long to defeat and I take too much damage in the previous floors…

Oh hey, good timing! Mine is coming up… last month… oh well.

Let's just say something thematically similar happens

Meanwhile, the Captain event gave me serious whiplash today.

After all the tragedy, we get Vodka Girls antics… then a tense negotiation with the neighbor kingdoms for peace… then a cute festival with teasing and gags… then the castle explodes with all the girls in it and the Captain decides to go back in time again using Tesla Zero, Steins;Gate style.

Also, weirdly enough there are a few lines in the middle of the festival scene that are voiced while the rest isn't… I put the voices on Chinese this time, I don't know if it's the same in Japanese…
