You forgot to mention the series take place "somewhere in Nevada". Also the Flash game.
I have decently found memories of this. It was weird and violent and perfectly suited for high school me.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Added the tagline, but I mentioned the flash game Project Nexus 2... well, I figured that was the one I needed to mention.
It's always strange looking back at the things that became popular.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Worth noting that it's still going. The latest short is from April of this year
x2 There was/is a Flash game based on Madness Combat itself. I've played it. Fun time waster, especially when you screw around in the training room or whatever.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Huh, I always wondered about this back when I was in my early years of middle school. I used to see it everywhere at the time and still on very rare occasions see people using avatars of it even today.
New actual episode posted for the first time in years! (i.e. something that's not a short)
You can only write so much in your forum signature. It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the midEDIT: Huh.
8 years and Krinkels pulls a David Lynch.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!There was that short looped NSFW animation named Tricky Bangooberblatnote where Tricky was beating on Jebus's head with hisnote oversized junk. The animation seems to have disappeared into vapor an undeterminate amount of time ago. Was it also a case of Creator Backlash as with the Tricky Madness 2? Y'know, the cannibalistic one.
Humankind is like a train. No matter how powerful the locomotive is, it can only travel as fast as its slowest car allows it to.Whut
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Yikes
New theme music also a boxYeah I stumbled across those years ago, when I was younger and newgrounds didn't have as many content filters. They were known as Tricky Madness. They're still on newgrounds. Just go to his page; should be able to find it easy enough. I'm not sure he thinks too highly of them though...

The 16th Madness Day is happening right now, and apparently Krinkels is selling Tricky plushies. His mask is also removable.
"There's no such thing as pure freedom in this world. Even the wind cannot blow forever."I know I might be a bit late, but happy Madness Day!
Happy Madness day. Yeah I missed the new animation.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).And now Krinkels has a Tricky Plush video up. Make of this what you will.

"There's no such thing as pure freedom in this world. Even the wind cannot blow forever."Another plushie announcement, starring Director Phobos from the Project Nexus game.
Somewhere in Nevada...
Madness Combat is a flash-animated series about a man named Hank J. Wimbleton, a man who "sought the sheriff." The series was originally just a dumb cartoon short posted on Newgrounds, but started having... something resembling a storyline in it's second episode.
Eventually, Hank does find the Sheriff and does manage to kill him in the third episode, but not before the Sheriff activates a device known as the "Improbability Drive." Thus begins a conflict between Hank and "Jesus" who begins actively hunting Hank in the fifth episode.
Things get even further out of hand when a clown, Tricky, gets involved and... well from there things just start getting weird. Yes, only now.
It's that sort of edgy, violent cartoon full of random, sadistic nonsense that I soaked up like a sponge when I was younger. That said, Madness Combat found a great deal of success on Newgrounds, solidifying its place as one of the site's flagship series and Hank W. as a site mascot. Every year there is a Madness Combat Day, devoted to the creation of new Madness cartoons by fellow animators.
I remember it most for the weird episode titles, "Depredation, Antipathy, Consternation, Apotheosis, etc." My thesaurus got a real workout from me watching this series. I'd actually forgotten about it for awhile. Strange because I used to watch these cartoons religiously and used them for inspiration (back when I thought I wanted to be an animator, I swear). I found it in my Youtube suggested list and ended up binging the whole thing.
There are 10 entries in the series that I know of, plus an unknown number of "spin-offs" named "Madness 5.5, etc" that take place in-between the corresponding episodes, and focusing on Sanford and Deimos' Hank's allies who were given an uncredited cameo in the fifth episode. Since the last known episode, the creator was busy developing a game called Project Nexus 2, but I haven't really followed any news on it in some time.
It also spawned a number of spin-offs by other animators, most popularly known are probably Xionic Madness (anime-esque, fully colored), Madness Mini (about a man hunting the Deputy instead of the Sheriff), the Bunnykill series (about killer bunny rabbits), Dawn of the Madness, (exactly what it sounds like), and Maximum Ninja (about ninjas).
