ITT: We Are All Pirates

"I hope we're able to stay on good enough terms with them," says Boreas, watching Mona's ship sail off.

He then turned around and saw his crewmates talking. He shudders a bit at the "Doctor"'s face.

Saltine's green feathers melt into pure white as she shrieks out. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH, A SKELETOOOOOOOOOOONN!!!!!!"

The ghost giggled.

"I always thought pirates were brave and rugged. Who knew..."

The patron covers his ears. The ship’s crew had grown quite diverse. As Mona’s ship set off, he wondered if they were headed for the Wealth too? He hoped not. They seemed like nice people.

Boreas wonders how the crew will ever find the Wealth. He hopes they'll be able to work together, despite their differences.

Green wonders if this Wealth is all it is cracked up to be. Blue wonders if it even exists...

"..."

"Skeleton..."

The ghost went back to staring out at the sea.

The "Doctor" is dumbfounded at the captain's fright.

"Doctor:" Huh, methinks a captain ought to have a bit more of a spine in the face of terror.

He puts his scarf back on and joins the ghost at staring out at the sea.

"HEY! YOU DID IT AGAIN!!" Saltine stands up, recovering but looking angry. "None of us are the captain! We all make the decisions as a team! Got it?!"

"But every crew needs a captain, or so I thought."

Blue makes herself known. She is wearing a long, blue jacket, somewhat blood-splashed bandages on her... torso, long brown pants with one leg ripped off from the knee down, and long, brown hair. She stood taller than Green, although she wasn't unnaturally tall or anything. She also seemed more... muscular? She was broader than her male companion, and she seemed to be one for up-close combat.

(As Mona's ship goes out of earshot, something suddenly hits the side of Saltine's small boat, enough to cause it to rock a little.)

"What was that?!" Boreas runs to the side of the ship and looks down.

Klamptrap, curious as to what hit the ship, rolls over to the side of the ship that was hit and releases his left arm over the side of the ship, the cannonball at the end swinging hard into the water.

(The foreign creature splashes around underwater for a moment, and then a (both physically and emotionally) hurt-looking orca rises out of the water, rubbing her melon.) Ow...! (She says, looking up. She's surprised to see that the boat she ran into contains all manner of different folks. A bird, a narwhal, a ghost...is that a sentient treasure chest over there? Is that what just hit her with something?)

S-Sorry...! I didn't mean to run into your boat. (the orca says, wiping her eyes.) I-I just got lost in my thoughts thinking about something and w-wasn't paying attention...

"Well, mistakes were made. Just be a bit more careful next time, okay?"

"Always the forgiving one, huh?"

Boreas stares at the orca with a sense of wonder, before snapping out of it. "Sorry! I hope you're okay."

He quickly turns to Saltine and says "Let's ask if she wants to join us."

The ghost turned to the skeleton guy.

"Yeah, I know right."

Yeah...I think I'm okay now... (The orca says to the fellow in green and the narwhal. She's glad she isn't at least bleeding or anything from the cannonball the treasure chest threw at her.)

(The narwhal asking the bird if she should join them for whatever they're all doing intrigues her.) What are you all doing?

The treasure boasts to the orca.

Klamptrap:   We're a ragtag band of misfit pirates in search of delightfully legendary treasure! If ya wanna join, just climb up my cannonball arm that's hanging over the boat! Sorry about bonking ya with it lass, thought we hit a coral reef or something.   

You are? Oh...um, I was kinda looking for treasure, too. (The orca says.) Is there a specific treasure you're looking for? Cause I've heard of some...

(After being quiet for a moment, the orca quickly says:) Oh! Apology accepted. It doesn't even hurt that much anymore... (She is still a bit weirded out by the fact that this guy is literally a talking treasure chest.) Hope I don't sink the boat...

(The orca pulls herself onto the boat with Klamptrap's assistance and stands up. Much like Boreas, she seems capable of Tailfin Walking.) My name is Shelley, by the way. Shelley Clarice McDonald. I'm from...pretty far away from here, I guess.

"We're looking for the Ultimate Wealth!" Saltine cheers, stabbing her wing out. "My name is Saltine! Saltine Abernathy! I know, boring, boring. I hope you wanna join our cr-"

Quite suddenly, a cannonball whizzes juuuust over the ship.

"... oop."

"That doesn't seem good."

"No, duh."

Blue cracks her knuckles as Green just kind of points his cannon arm at the source of the cannonball.

In all seriousness, I actually don't have a name for these two. Any ideas?

Nice to meet you, Saltine. (Shelley says, reaching down to shake Saltine's wing.) What's the Ul-

(Shelley is interrupted by the cannonball flying by and gasps in surprise.) W-What was that??

Hm...Ms. Bluegill and Mr. Greenhorn?

Boreas is spooked by the cannonball, but then looks disappointed. He's not afraid to fight, but he was really hoping to introduce himself to Shelley. Oh well, he'll find the time.
