It crosses my mind: Goops still being messed up implies that Cassidy's attack was a serious threat to her. She was sitting there blithely watching an attack that could have killed her coming in, wondering what would happen. Is she also unafraid to die?

Not really "sitting there", Cassidy was fast in action. Though given how nonchalant she was right after the stabbing, this degree of damage seems to not be much of a cause to worry either way.
Question. Does she mean she has ways of giving Tessa powers Tessa cannot imagine or that she can't give her normal mahou powers but can do things to her Tessa can't imagine?
The former is what I think.
With the lasting damage, I'm just wondering if she doesn't care because it doesn't actually harm her, or if she doesn't care because it wouldn't have bothered her if Cassidy had pierced her goopy brain and killed her dead.
Or if she doesn't care because this form is temporary and she's about to get a new body. Also possible.
