The fact that Carlos's first scene is busting out a fucking ROCKET LAUNCHER should tell you something.

I see Carlos didn't get the memo that rocket launchers are exclusively endgame shit.

And it was his last one too!

So I just beat the game now. Only 3 deaths! Game does feel a bit rushed and the ending felt less powerful than the original's.

The Nemesis wastes LITERALLY no time in this game. Capcom knows their audience, I guess. It feels like they said "Yeah, we know you bought this because the Nemesis is awesome. Well, here the fuck he is."

I admit, I'm slightly offput by how quickly Jill and Brad decide to catch something of a break after the initial attack. They had no real reason to believe that the thing wouldn't come Kool aid man-ing out the side of the building at any second.

There is literally no game in existence that can't be improved by having the Nemesis attack you somewhere in it.

So, what do you think happened to Nicholai after the ending? He is supposed to survive canonically but the ending makes it seems he dies in the explosion

Also made the mistake of reading the Steam forums for the remake. Saw a bunch of twits going about "censorship" and "appealing to the SJW demographic" all because you can't look up Jill's skirt.

Could you do that before?

If I remember right, Jill's RE 3 outfit in the RE 1 remake had black underwear you could see in some camera angles and water reflections. But I think the SJW bitching also comes from how her regular outfit is "less revealing".

Looking up female Nemesis on Google, and there doesn't seem to be any cutesy genderswaps. They're pretty much all for horror, and that's honestly fine by me.

The gore has also been toned down, so naturally, people are crying CENSORSHIP! For an actual reason, some theorize that the bigger environments and more enemies in one spot could have been taxing the system, so Capcom nerfed the gore and ragdolls to keep thing stable.
