The leaks are up. I just saw 'em that way.
But I guess or courtesy sake, I'll keep my QT's very brief.
Night Drivers: Not too much here honestly, just interesting to see Sprig and Polly try driving.
"Return to Wartwood": Just gonna say that it's good to have everyone back, and I love all the winks at the audience towards the end.

Okay, here we go with the "Quick Thoughts"
"Ivy on the Run": Wow, it's nice to see Ivy's room, also good to get a canon showing of her actual hair. Felicia is a Unintentionally Sympathetic to me right now, maybe 'cuz n my field, 'm a bit of a perfectionist myself, idk. Oh wow, cute little Anne is still cute...totes love that dropped in Muay Thai...which actually explains a lot. Good deconstruction of Polly's Leeroy Jenkins tendencies. Actually, lots of good decon. right now, between Ivy trying to run without a plan and Sprig's storytellin'. I admit that turn to some Karate Kid motifs was very unexpected...but cool...ah so Felicia was supposed to be sympathetic...well played. Finally, nice to Wally again.
"After the Rain" Ah, it's about time this Liar Revealed plot came loose...but I didn't expect it to be this anti-climactic...poor Anne anyway though. A bit bummed that it came down to beetles rather than something about The King, but I guess the death world aspects had been brushed over. Oh cool, Sprig's usin' his goggles for once. Oh sh*&, death world aspects played straight regarding Sprig and Polly's parents.
Okay, so it's clear to me now that "Ivy" deserved the ??? teasin' more than "Rain", which while good, really wasn't that remarkable except to tie up some loose ends.
Here are the viewership numbers for "Ivy On The Run/After The Rain". This episode got 324,000 views. This is a drop from "Night Drivers/Return To Wartwood", which got 410,000 views.
Okay, it's "The First Temple" time.
Okay, so we start off with The Aftermath of last episode, and Sprig is as untactful as ever. Lovely to see Marcy back! It's good to see the dark side of her obliviousness...methinks she probably didn't even realize what Sasha was doing all this time because of this obliviousness. Also comes off as a dramatic point. Oh, wow real Scenery Porn for the temple goin' on here. The traps are a bit mundane, until the giant chessboard though, which I like was given a narrative twist from the norm...but quite appropriate considerin the other story beats....I do like HP's one-liner though.Oh wow, The Computer Is a Cheating Bastard in a different context! Lastly, it appears the eye color power seems to drain into the gem...and wow, what an ending!
Any ideas what the multiple eye thing could be based on? x'D
Okay, here comes the next batch.
"New Wartwood": Marcy is totes adorbs...good to see the Mayor return to some of that deliciously diabolical characterization
"Friend or Frobo": Wow, Leaning on the Fourth Wall regarding Sprig's voice change. Nice video game. Good to see Frobo return. Oh wow, Canuck accents for the cops...actually, I didn't know there were cops here. More interesting is to see Character Development for Polly of course.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but the second episode was better...I totes expected the first one to be.
"New Wartwood": Marcy continues to be wonderful. And I really like how it called back in a way to Anne's season long arc of being accepted by the townspeople.
"Friend or Frobo?": This was such a sweet episode! I was not expecting Polly to be the one who bonded with Frobo and I certainly wasn't expecting so much character development from her this episode! Also Frobo is an absolute sweetie. I still wonder what the original purpose for those kinds of robots made by the underground computer was. Frobo himself seems incredibly multifunctional. The Brick Joke of Marcy and Hop Pop staying in the seed shop the whole time and only learning about all the mayhem afterwards had me rolling.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.OK, I'm not in alone in seeing Frobo as an Iron Giant Expy, am I?
It definitely popped into my head.
Surprised no one brought up the town's motto.
Oh he absolutely is.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.Been watching this show since getting Disney Plus last summer (plus having access to all Season 2 episodes through Charter On-Demand) and enjoy keeping up with it.
Just have to ask this here too though. I know Hoppop's voice actor is Bill Farmer, but does anyone think his voice is similar to Mayor Robert Bob White from Doug (both Nick and Disney series by Greg Lee)?

It hadn't occurred to me, but I can see it. I think they just use similar "country" dialects.
There is no beginning. There is no end. There is only... Hooty.I didn't even think of them as having an accent, but yeah makes sense.
Okay, so...
"Toad to Redemption" Nice to have A Day In The Limelight Episode for such a character like Mayor Toadstool, but Toady was the true star of the show. I still wish Grime/Sasha were the main characters here, but the callbacks to the S1 finale otherwise were pretty good.
"Maddie and Marcy I absolutely love the chemistry between the two titular leads, but I love the Fourth Wall joke even more. Also am I wrong, or do Maddie's siblings sound a lot like...Katrina from Star, Force of Evil?
Was thinking the episode was going to be a Secret Test of Character for Toadstool. It's no wonder people are rebelling, they're actively choosing the worst candidates.
Okay I thought Maddie was just a Creepy Child, surprised to see magic user being an actual profession though I might have missed something that suggested such earlier. So right now Marcy is a Rogue/Artificer/Witch, any other classes I'm missing.

I don't think "witch" is an actual class in D&D... or wait, i guess it is technically, IIRC, warlock is the male version of a witch and that's a class. But anyway I'd say this ep had Marcy multiclass into Wizard.

Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.there is however an Witch class in path finder..
New theme music also a boxSo, the weekend ratings came in. On Saturday April 3, Big City Greens got 310,000 views while Amphibia got 248,000 views. On Sunday April 4, a Bluey episode aired on the Disney Junior channel and got 434,000 views.
I feel like Cable ratings shouldn't be a good judgement of how popular shows are. I myself have cut cable and now just the shows on Youtube TV.

Yeah, they're practically irrelevant now because of streaming
New theme music also a boxLooks like we get Sasha next week.
I saw "Night Drivers / Return to Wartwood" thanks to their Short Run in Peru, but I guess I should wait with discussing them until their US release.
