Opened.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportWould Helen Slater and Dean Cain◊ in Supergirl work instead? Slater was in the 1984 Supergirl movie and Cain starred in Lois & Clark.

It'd be hard to make the image seem "natural", because they were not originally in the same work.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. And could be too obscure without context, even if you watch the film and the TV show they look very different now.
3 looks like JAFAAC.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope Report3 could possibly work if it was accompanied by pics of the actors in their previous roles; otherwise it's JAFAAC, as Berrenta correctly noted.
Then here's a photo◊ of the two actors I mentioned.
I would appreciate it if someone combined those two images that I linked into one.
Is there a picture of them with Kara from the new show? So it doesn't look like "these two actors played Superman/Supergirl and are now a married couple on this show."
I believe the suggestions are examples of Actor Allusion. And I believe the first sentence on Casting Gag is wrong as it mentions RL connections as well as previous roles. However, the laconic, the second paragraph as well as the second paragraph on Actor Allusion state that Casting Gag is only for RL circumstances.

Are you implying that Casting Gag is a duplicate of Actor Allusion?
Here's another suggestion: John Wesley Shipp in the 1990 Flash TV show◊, and the 2014 version. Again, I appreciate anyone who could merge those two images into a collage.
Any counter-suggestions?
^ Looks like Remake Cameo. Again, we are looking for examples where "an actor's role in a film in some way mirrors or parodies his or her Real Life circumstances". Not previous roles which is covered by Actor Allusion.
JAFAAC.
I propose that, since some of us are confused about Casting Gag examples, that we need to see if the misuse is running rampant on other wiki pages. If we can detect a good-sized amount of misuse via wick check, then whoever initiates the wick check should fire up a TRS thread and place the wick check there. This would mean putting this thread on the back burner.
Remember, the roles must reflect the actor’s personal life, not a past role.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportGuess we should leave this thread open but let someone do a wick check on Casting Gag, and if there's a lot of misuse, a TRS thread should be started.
I may do the wick check tomorrow. Will update when finished with the check.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportFound enough on the wick check to start a thread. Shall we close this?
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportLet's wait.
Clock is set.
I think we should just wait on a finalized TRS decision before doing anything.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?So can you take away the clock on this one?
Shut off the clock on this one; we should leave this thread open until this TRS discussion is resolved.
This suggestion was voted down in the Image Suggestion thread. Other ideas?
