We got a bit of info on Bowser from the E3 Treehouse stream: It turns out Bowser is currently on vacation outside of the Mushroom Kingdom, and Bowser Jr. takes on the role as the primary antagonist.
If Bowser does show up, it will probably be as a final boss either against him, against a Rabbid version of him, or against both, the last I'm hoping for.
The game will be 900p 30fps while docked, 720p 30 fps undocked.

And according to Game Informer's article, there's an villainous Donkey Kong Rabbid, cover, cover damage, and knocking enemies backwards, as well.

There seems to be a split between people who say this is the shit Ubisoft would pull, and the people who say these are the good DLC practices Nintendo tends to put out. It's kind of funny to see the two talking to each other~
I'm interested in what the "unexpected story content" is, though. With Ubisoft "unexpected" could mean about anything but I'm hoping they really do mean "unexpected" when they say it.

Well it's more realizing just how many genres the Italian plumber has gone into, and tactical turn based shooter is a lot more out there than Olympic themed party game. This is a good thing, but man is Mario (you can add Ghostbusters game and arcade spinoff if you add Luigi) in a lot of stuff.

I shit you not, this oncoming game for the Switch comes out at the end of August and it's basically an kid-friendly reboot of XCOM: Mario and 3 cosplaying Rabbids running about with Mario-themed guns.
The plot? Wormhole opens up. The bunnies invade. Mario leaps into action. I really hope that Ubisoft puts Bowser in this game, those little freaks of nature would provide some really interesting comedy with him.
