I hope this boat's sturdy... I already have issues with water, but I get the feeling now it's just magnified further.

(I make sure to follow Addie specifically, getting onto the boat.)

It's not that I haven't been on a boat before, but... I don't know, something about the water is making me more uneased than usual.

The Docks -> The Boat

I see the ladder being lowered onto Richard's boat, not knowing who exactly Richard was. I instinctively reach for the ladder, but pause and realise I can just float up there. I do so and follow the one called Addie. Igni is with us and I give them a smile.

"Crash course, huh? Guess I'll need it. You have any idea what kinds of things I can do?"

"Which boat should Bailey and I go on?" asks Rex.

"I suppose the guild ship should work, then....", said Noriaki, taking Hikari's hand and boarding Richard's ship. "Onward."

(The Dragalge follows his boss to the boat without another word. I figured I might save some room for the Tyranitar's boat and go to the other one. I nod to the others and waited for us to depart.)

"Yes sir!" Daniels says as he gets on Richard's boat.

"I think... I'll get on Benji's boat. More familiar with it at least. Can move if needed, though." Dieter says as they board the Ditto's boat.

Docks

(Rich, Polly, and Shelley also go onto the Shifter after Delilah and Dieter while Maran, Sunny, Renata, Cortez, and Judy go onto Richard's boat. Upon sitting down, Rich quickly jams his still gloved claws into two of his chest holes.)

I swear, last thing I want t' have happen right now is a bunch of me almost sinkin' a boat again... (He says.)

Richie, you nearly sank a boat with your curse? (Polly asks.)

Aye, it's a long story... (Rich says, shaking his head and wearily leaning against Polly.) Oh, Polly, I jest wanna be ridda me curse already...

I'm sure... (Polly says, leaning against him as well.)

I think we may actually still have room here to spare even after I get on board. (Benji remarks to Dieter, while also shooting a glance toward Bailey and Rex to make sure they know this as well.) Especially if I take a smaller form for the time being, just saying.

(Benji starts to move to get on the boat as well when Dinah quickly pulls him aside.) Benji...you and everyone else stay safe, all right?

(Benji lifts Dinah up and gives her a quick kiss.) Don't ya worry 'bout a thing, Dinah, we'll be back faster than you can say "Wiki Berry Milkshake", just sayin'.

I hope you're right... (Dinah says, hugging Benji's currently fuzzy neck tightly before letting go and dropping to the ground.)

(Lucy runs up as well and hugs Benji's leg.) Bye, Papa...I'm gonna miss you.

Lucy, I'm not leavin' for years 'n years or anythin'! (He laughs.) We'll be back soon!

Oh, yeah... (Lucy nods.)

(Benji then turns to get on the Shifter. As he does, June and Liesl approach the docks and Liesl addresses everyone either on the boats or preparing to climb aboard them.)

If Phoebe hasn't routed them already by the time you get there, then chances are that you'll have a welcome party when you get to Danjor Island. There are a few Fire-types who live there in a small village called Respite Village. Cursed Pokémon usually go to rest there after making the journey to Danjor Island and just before they make the last leg of their journey to the spring. I'm sure the Pokémon there will know why you all are there at the island and will let you pass with little resistance...assuming, again, that Phoebe hasn't attacked them already.

You guys show that mean ol' Gorebyss who's boss and get everyone back, okay? (June adds. She then suddenly poofs into a rather haggard-looking Gorebyss waving a white flag with her tail fin.) Make her be like: "I give up! I give up! Uncle! Uncle!"

Benji's Boat

My heart briefly skips a beat and I reflexively throw a wing up as I see Rich lumber onto the boat. Here I find myself once again in an enclosed space with Rich, and that day in the diner is still something that's relatively fresh on my mind. Being a double of his still sends chills down my spine...and makes my back hurt, even though I'm ironically in a different form as we speak. For necessity's sake, this time. Marsha notices my unease.

Uh, Marly, are ya okay?

I...I mean I am, but I never thought I'd end up in an enclosed space with him again, you know? That time in the Diner still freaks me out a little.

I feel yas. 'Least he's got a shot ta fix his curse. He ain't gonna do that again, I'll tell ya that right now. The first time was entiahly an accident.

I sigh and bring the wing down and lay my claws on my legs.

Yeah, I know...

I address everyone on the boat with us after hearing what Liesl has to say to us.

Well, we can only hope that they don't get wiped out before they can welcome us in. Be ready for anything, because heaven forbid we walk into one of the Gorebyss's traps.

The Guild's Boat

We can fit you guys on here or you can head to your friend's boat there.

Stellan tells Rex and Bailey while Clayton affirms his readiness to Liesl.

We'll be ready for them, no matter what the circumstance.

Ophelius climbs up to the boat's front, keeping his lackeys by his side.

Ain't much I can teach the two of yeh in a quick trip but I can give basics. Anythin' you'd want t'know th' most?

She asks Wreck and Igni as she redirects onto the guild boat and makes sure they're both aboard.

I look at the horned black dog in front of of me. Apparently they were going to train myself and Igni.

"Uh, not sure what I can even do. I'm a 'Dhelmise' I think? You know what I can even do?"

(Adding onto Wreck's commentary, I opt to chime in as well.)

And I'm a 'Fennekin' as previously described yet beyond chewing on sticks I don't fully understand what that entails, especially as far as self-defense goes. I know, it sounds stupid, but...

(It's a bit surreal to me to be asking how to simply defend myself, but that's just how it is now.)

(Rich notices Marlon's discomfort at being in his vicinity, remembering what had happened back in Slak Rock. He sighs.) One of th' best things 'bout not bein' cursed again is that folks won't be scared t' death of me accidentally usin' me curse on them... (He says to Polly.)

(I sit down, not saying much, but anxiously waiting for us to leave. The Golisopod sits down next to me, but she doesn't seem interested in talking right now, either.)

Guild's Boat

(Maran and Sunny sit down.) Oooh, I have Butterfrees in my stomach, we are so close to ze spring...

Yeah, bzz, let's just hope it's still standing when we get there. (Maran says. He briefly looks down at himself with a thoughtful expression.)

It'd better still be standin', or I'm gonna have words with that Gorebyss. (Cortez snarls as he leaps onto a seat across from Maran and Sunny.) I want this nightmare to end already!!

Hey, keep your chin up, sir, I bet we've got this! (Judy says as she sits down directly across from Cortez.)

(Cortez looks briefly flustered but clears his throat and looks around.) So, uh, we all set to git goin' yet?

If everyone's on a boat, then yeah! (Judy says.) I mean...we're all on a boat now, right? Are we missing anybody?

I cringe slightly at hearing Rich's response to my unease and feel my tail (how is this thing functioning in an illusion...?) swish about. I sigh and look over towards the Tyranitar.

Well, to be honest—yeah, it does still kinda scare me. But that was then, obviously before I ever truly knew you and how hard you've worked to redeem yourself. Kinda funny how I'm in another form as we're having this discussion, huh?

Guild Boat

We should be ready here, Judy...how about you guys? You all set there?

Clay asks Benji and the others on his boat rolling under the assumption Mila chose either boat.

Ophelius motions for his right-hand men to follow to the front of the ship. As he prepares to take the wheel, he motions for his lackeys to be ready.

Alright you two, I want you to spot me as I'm driving this ship there. If anything gets in our way I want to know where it is so we can clear out of the way in time. Do I make myself clear?

Well, as a Dhelmise you'd be able t'learn Grass n' Ghost type moves like absorb...and Igni, we have a lot more in common.

Stellan crowd watches those who get on the boat, particularly noting Rex and Bailey and how they have the kind of friendship himself and Phoebe had.

You two seem like the best of friends...treasure every moment you have together.

(Benji waves at Ophelius.) Just about ready, give me just one second...

( Benji then shrinks back down into his default Swampert form for the time being.) Okay, fellas, we're movin' out!

(Benji takes the wheel and begins steering away from the dock, waving at Dinah and Lucy again as he does so.)

(As Ophelius prepares to pull out, Cortez looks over at Judy. He never did ask her about what she was cursed with did he? Maybe that'd be a good conversation starter.) So, uh, w-what was yer curse? I don't think you ever said.

Oh, mine? (Judy says, looking back in everyone's direction after seeming a bit distracted.) I was invisible and intangible to everyone. People could hear me, but they couldn't see me or touch me. I was pretty much just a disembodied voice who couldn't do anything except move stuff around. You wouldn't believe how many people left my inn 'cause they thought the place was haunted! (She chuckles.) It's kinda funny looking back, but it sure wasn't when it was actually going on. Man, I hated having a curse.

Tell me about it. (Cortez grunts.)

I can't help but find myself also chuckling at this. A strange but very true irony that has presented itself out of necessity, for which I then figure I'd need to explain to Rich why exactly I'm a Noivern in this context.

So yeah, I had June illusion me up as a Noivern to combat the possible danger of my leg gimping me and taking a water attack after...yeah. I had a pillar get driven through my leg when we were trying to stop L'Arachel.

I sigh after letting it out. I probably shouldn't have, but I feel like I just should. Marsha also comments.

Yeahs...I kinda wondah if he'll evah walk normally again, ya know?

Yeah, I can't be sure if I will. It really did an absolute number on my leg.

Ophelius watches Benji and the Shifter begin to pull out and begins to wheel the boat himself, keeping a straight path of following the Shifter.

Okay Miller, Daniels. Be my secondary eyes while I steer this boat. Whoever's boat this was before sure seemed to be a master seaman..

Okay, everyone, we need all hands on deck. What can you use that'd be most effective against the Gorebyss and her lackeys?

Clayton asks of the group assembled.

What a'mean is...we can both use fire attacks. Ember, Flamethrower...yeh name it. I think th' most straightforward move t'learn would be ember. Want me t'explain it to yeh now?

Addie asks Igni.

"Sure thing, sir!" Daniels says, watching out for anything odd.

Guild Ship

Got it, boss. (Miller looks out into the ocean as well, scanning for anything that might pop up.)

The Shifter

(Might as well kill some time while I'm here. I got up to one of the sides of the ship and prepared an arrow. After a second, I let one loose and looked at where it might end up.)

"That's terrible..." says Rex to Stellan. "I hope you still get to make up with Phoebe somehow..."

"Oh, and um..." he adds to Clayton after a brief pause, "Bailey and I learned a few moves at a dojo on the way here. I learned Mud Slap, Fury Swipes and this one where I roll into a ball. He learned Astonish, Psychic and Minimize. Would those be of help?"

Noriaki answers Clayton's inquiry, "I've achieved mastery of Leaf Blade and Razor Leaf, perhaps two of my most reliable Grass moves. I personally have a capability to use moves such as Leaf Blade at a range, which should prove useful for staying out of the range of Phoebe herself. Razor Leaf in particular is one move I intend to use should we encounter a horde of Clamperl. Aside from that, I am still getting the hang of proper archery, but I can confirm that I can use Spirit Shackle in the event that we need to restrain or capture somebody. I can slip through the shadows and conceal my presence with relative ease as well."

"I have Heal Pulse and Light Screen for support, I am usually more comfortable with that", said Hikari, "I do not have many techniques that would be especially useful for this, I don't think, but I can say that my Dazzling Gleam is good for dealing with crowds."
