There are two of them?
Where there's life, there's hope.It was a two parter. Part one was released in August 1st, 2015, and part two was released in September 19th, 2015.
The funny thing is that FMA is one of a handful of anime/manga that includes Berserk and Hellsing that could have a western adaptation without any whitewashing (unless they do something stupid like make make Scar or Ling white).
Q&A with Ed's actor
Near the end, it's mentioned that if the film succeed, there will be sequels.
Where there's life, there's hope. How many films would FEMA need to be fully fleshed out.
If we are talking about manga continuity, probably 5 or more.
The Promised Day is enough for a 2.5 hour movie.
Where there's life, there's hope.I wonder if they'll go for an almagamation of regular and 2003 continuity.
So if a western adaptation of FMA was made who would you choose to be the director and cast.
I hope so, I think Dante would work better for an on-screen villain then Father, but I generally think Dante is a better villain then Father so make of that what you will.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"Dante would certainly eases on CGI budget.
Where there's life, there's hope.I prefer Father over Dante. She felt like nothing more than a Woman Scorned and I don't even remember why she dragged the whole nation into her quarrel with Hoennheim.
She's more than that! She's also a Dirty Old Woman and Vain Sorceress.
Where there's life, there's hope. Her beef with Hohenheim is really more of an afterthought; her main goal is simply to get a new Philosopher's Stone so she can live forever.
She involved the whole country because she was essentially trying to crowdsource the Philosopher Stone formula: spread rumors of its existence, create lots of war and bloodshed so that people will be desperate enough to go searching for the Stone (and have plenty of dying people on hand to use as ingredients), and give the alchemists who seem to have the most promise in figuring it out some helpful pointers.
Oh right. Forgot all that.
It's also because she knows the price for the Stone will always be terrible and she has no interest in paying it herself.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"Maybe have them as competing big bads.
I don't think they have enough budget and screentime for that.
Talking about another villain, I don't think manga Pride will work as well in live action. If they don't choose Father, then there would be less reason to use him.
Where there's life, there's hope.I really like how they got Gluttony to look. The lack of lightning during the Alchemy still bugs me.
They nailed the most important part of Lust's design. I approve.
But, yeah, it really needs some lightning… No budget I guess…
So from what I've seen they'll adapt from Cornello to Hughes' funeral. That's roughly 1/6 of the manga.
Va... va... vavoom!

Where there's life, there's hope.Looks pretty good. I can recognize not just the characters but also specific scenes.
Arakawa will draw a special comic to commemorate the movie

Movie posters for each group of characters.
Where there's life, there's hope.Come on Hiromu, don't waste you time on some stupid tie-in comic and give us the end of Silver Spoon already. TT.TT
…Ehem, other than that and "Asian-washing" aside, they actually all look pretty good. And there's Black Hayate too. <3
Now why they made Winry a brunette even though Hawkeye is properly blonde, I have no idea.

So she doesn't look like Ed's sister?
Where there's life, there's hope.Same reason they don't bother giving Ed his gold eyes.
So, visually it might be good. Nothing about how the story will be. Didn't the two Attack on Titan's movies look really good too?
