I did not expect to have cause to use the line "STOP DROPPING YOUR ASSES!" but DQ 11 gave it to me.

Rules Update

Accuracy: We will be switching to a modified True Hit system, in which where an attack's accuracy is 51% or higher, two d100s will be rolled, and the results averaged to determine the actual to-hit roll. This will make high-accuracy attacks more consistent without rendering low-accuracy attacks worthless.

Death: Permanent death is removed. Characters who are reduced to 0 hit points and not revived before the death timer expires now suffer a -10 to their Accuracy, Avoid, Critical, and Critical Avoid stats for the remainder of the map, and, if the player has a second character, are ineligible for deployment on the next map as they take time to recover.

The aim of the above changes is to make tactical decision making faster and more efficient by making favorable odds more consistently rewarding, and failure less punishing by removing the threat of permanent death.

Items:

• Healing Staves: Healing Staves have had their power reduced. Staves which previously healed 10+Magic now heal only for the wielder's Magic value, and staves that healed for 20+Magic now heal for 10+Magic. Due to the generally lower health pools in this game compared to a traditional Fire Emblem game vs the high Magic stats, there is simply never any need to use anything but the basic Heal Staff.

Feats:

• Cleave/Split Shot: These feats no longer require the ability to double attack the initial target. Instead, characters with these feats may use a bonus action when they take the Attack action to make an attack against a second enemy within their range.
• In Plain Sight (Diane Only): Renamed Incognito. Now causes enemies to always prefer to attack targets other than Diane if any are in their range, in addition to granting the ability to open locks and steal items.
• Miracle: Miracle is no longer limited to a single use per map, but has diminishing chances of occurring each time it triggers, starting at 6/6 and diminishing by 1/6 after each time it triggers.
• Proficient: Proficient now grants an additional effect to the chosen proficiency:
  • Weapons: +5 Critical Hit Chance
  • Staves: You are guaranteed not to spend a charge from any staff you wield the first time you use it on each map.
  • Perform: 3 times per map, you can combine the effects of two of your know performances into a single performance.
• (NEW) Veteran (NPC Only): Enemy NPCs with this feat have the Action options of a unit one army rank higher than theirs.

edit: For the sake of fairness, I would like to point out that Grendan has mysteriously acquired an extra point in Luck.

As suggested by Sutt I have went through my character stats and have found one minor error and that is Xel should have 8 Lck instead of 7. See:
