I occasionally listen to dubbed songs, I can recommend this youtuber he does a lot of multi language compilations.
I do that, but mostly with cartoon themes, and cartoon voices in general. I just like hearing how they differ.
I am particularly fond of this video.
You like evil laughs, you say?
"Don't cry because it's over, cry because it happened."All the laughs in that second video are good, but I think the Italian version is the best.
"Humans and robots living together in harmony and equality. That was my ultimate wish."Sorry, but can we talk about Oogie Boogie's Song? I love that song even though I've never seen the movie, and I've been listening to many versions of it. Here are my favorite foreign versions:
- The Thai version is hilarious. I love the singer's voice. He sounds very Laughably Evil.
- The French version is pretty good. I'd say it gets better as it goes on.
- The Polish version, where he sounds like a total Smug Snake.
- The Italian version is just plain amazing.

"Humans and robots living together in harmony and equality. That was my ultimate wish."I've watched some songs from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic in foreign dubs plus my local one, Croatian. The song I remember listening to most foreign dubs of is This Day Aria. I've also done it with a couple other franchises, albeit to a lesser extent.
Some of these actually sound pretty great to me, even when I don't understand a word (except for the English, Croatian and Serbian dubs). Though there are also a few that sound between mediocre and bad, and then there's a couple of dubs that sound horrendous... which is also what Croatian happens to fall into. As in just one singer sings no matter what (even when there's multiple characters at once), lyrics are all over the place, and they also stole from one of the Serbian dubs. I'm jealous of the likes of countries like Germany and Polish who I believe got the good ones, because I just wish my language would've gotten something like that for MLP:FiM too.
Either way, I do actually enjoy foreign dubs of songs, as long as they don't sound botched because the actors didn't bother to care about their performance.
Am I the only one who likes listening to foreign dubs of songs from musicals and other things? Even though I don't understand the languages, I just like listening to the voices each character has in the dubs. Villain Songs are especially interesting, because it's fun to hear how each dub handles the Evil Laugh.
For example, right now I'm listening to the Swedish dub of "In the Dark of the Night". The voice this singer does is very different than in the other languages, but it sounds so cool! I love how much vibrato he uses.
