Well, I'm active. I like the idea of Rine not getting along with the Traveller, I didn't really think of interdimensional rules. Kinda an important thing considering the fate of the entire multiverse.
borkAlright. I guess I'll have to preoccupy the Herald with something else then (in other words, destroying Foundation for the Future).
I am really looking forward to the encounter of Dusk/Dawn and Herald, though.
Also, thanks for letting me know.

Everything that lives is designed to end.Glad you folks are liking my ideas. PQI, you can jump in as D/D now if you wish, and just make some public ruckus to attract attention. If not, I can play him for you. For now, I will continue dealing with the RICK and Hazel situations. The rest of you can just play as you wish (eg. Hardlite vs Eisendrachen).
I'll have Dusk/Dawn doing something by the end of the day. It will likely be later in the evening, however.
Because of Rine's whole "excess matter" thing, (which gives him the ability to create weapons out of Hardlite), I had the idea to give him a Self-Duplication power, using excess Hardlite. How shall I limit this ability?
borkMaybe limiting the number of possible duplicates? To 1 or 2? Or maybe this process exhausts him when he self-duplicates? Maybe even making duplicates weaker than the original body.
Everything that lives is designed to end.I like exhaustion option, where he could make up to, say 5 copies, before collapsing.
Even so, it could be an experimental thing, something he's still working on.
The original version of Rine, the one that I designed before the RP, could make up to 1,000 copies at a time.
Yeah, had to nerf him just a little bit.

borkI'd be more than happy for a large Battle Royale in the middle of Easton City. That would be fun. It would also present the opportunity to all 4 characters I have created thus far.
"I do not cling to life sufficiently to fear death."Good idea, but there would have to be a good reason. We don't wanna Batman v Superman situation here. Anyway, Rine's more of a 1v1 kinda guy. He's not great with armies. Unless the army's him.
Edit: Also, the copying idea is great if a conversation or subplot is left hanging. It means I can continue Rine's story with other people simultaneously.

borkI've made another character which I'll keep in reserve for now, if it gets accepted.

borkWe've already got a character who can make infinite copies of himself which simply lack independence and durability. You could use a similar limiting method.
Hm, still thinking about how to properly go on, Fyodor doesn't really have any reason to go to the harbour or Winterblossom's alone
"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"And Papyrus is just doing his own thing really, wanting to leave.
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name. That could work, but it'll be an ability saved for later. He will use it in small forms, like now one of his copies has come into Easton from base, but no armies until necessary. Another ability that could come gradually is turning small objects into Hardlite to get more mass.
borkWho's active right now?

borkEnirboreh: I consider Anybody who has posted in a week "active".
Sergey: Fyodor's origin as a "lost, magical child" seems to fit well with Hazel, the Fae Looking for Redemption. Maybe you and Emily should PM each other and work something out.
Vampire: Being possessed by a Babylonian paper demon is full of questions and story potential. Why paper? Why was the book there? Which god is that? (many Babylonian gods were reinvented as Christian devils.) Its also sure to attract somebody's attention. Ideas anyone? Maybe characters from actual Babylonian myth? Those are rare, and we certainly have none yet.
Concept: The Void.
You ever make a wrong turn at Albuquerque? Ever gone so fast with your warp drive that you swore you could see the whole of creation? No? This is why.
Anything that has enough power to go faster than the speed of light, can also go back in time. But strangely never both unless under very specific circumstances. The void is the answer. Crossing these barriers are dangerous, and you can only dedicate yourself to one or the other to avoid this.
Of course there are other ways to get yourself stuck in this black pit of non-existence. Such as making the wrong maneuver at a negative-space wedgie, or entering into a anomaly, even interdimensional travel can open up doors to this pocket dimension. There are ways to get out, but they take time and dedication, and in a area where supplies are sparse, you best hope it doesn't take too long.
Even worse are faint pockets of light that aren't starships, these creatures seem to exist within the void and may just be native indigenous species, leaving questions as to how they came to be. The only thing people know for certain is that that these creatures defy expectations and logic.
It is best put like this by some people who live in the Void. "Before there was time... before there was anything... there was nothing. And before there was nothing... there were monsters. "
@Sergey: I'm game if you are.
I like it.

All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world.Glad you do. I figure we need some way to explain why time travel and FTL are possible but never both.
Also gives us a chance for some demonic beings that obviously aren't world devouring beasts. Just be careful not to let them out.
Yeah, The void makes sense and fits in with the mythos already established for this universe. Approved.
(I'll add it soon. I know, I have a lot stuff to add to the Characters and Concepts List! Soon!)
I can understand that. And glad it works.
Not that I'll contradict you, but "The Void" has another name I established before, "The Dark Before".
And one might say that of course it's logical that things sprang up there, there is nothing there to stop them.
But where did they come from and why?
Dusk/Dawn is a fairly recently created character who I have yet to introduce into the game proper. He (They?) are, however, fresh off the boat from Europe.
As for what he'll do, just wait and see. (A.K.A. I haven't decided yet.)
