this defiantly deserves a page,
If you read this, winter will come for you...Oh snap!
Looking this show up on IM Db made me find out that Will (the kid who goes missing in the show) is Charlie Brown!
Oof. Right in the Eighties. Ow.
Should've known Demogorgon was behind all those PG-rated shenanigans. Isn't he always?
Well now. I will add this...*click click click*...to my Netflix list. My thanks.
Just watched the last episode. Pretty good. I'll definitely watch season 2, if such a thing occurs.
So far I'm 5 episodes in and it's a really great show. It manages to capture that 80s aesthetic wonderfully, and the plot and pacing kept me up way past my bedtime.
Marathoned it over the weekend. It does a really good job of capturing that 80's fantasy/horror feel. Someone mentioned how it reminded them of Elfen Lied, but when I saw it the resemblance was only in the most superficial sense.
I'm currently watching this series.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI finished Season 1 today and it was great; I can't wait for Season 2 to come out.
I almost missed this series but on another site I go to everyone has been talking about it.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI'd describe it as E.T. meets Goonies meets Stand By Me meets a little bit of Silent Hill.
I was thinking of it as Super 8 meets Slenderman.
Well, Super 8 is basically 'Stand By Me WITH ALIENS' and, since this is an 80s setting, an 80s movie like Stand By Me or The Goonies is the more appropriate comparison. I think the monster and the horror elements have far more in common with Silent Hill than Super 8 and Slenderman isn't known for environmental horror like the Upside Down has.

Yeah, I realised that Super 8 is already X Meets Y, and I hadn't considered the Silent Hill similarities.
Somebody compiled the homages to classic movies in Stranger Things
They are missing one that was taken from Jaws with the type writer where the sheriff wrote "Missing" instead of "Shark Attack;" I thought of a lot of these movies when I saw those scenes.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureSeason 2 will take place in Fall of 1984.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureBest trailer ever.
James Cameron will be a strong influence this time?
So then confirmed there will be multiple monsters and they'll now be able to fly.
The only problem with this show is that it is on Netflix, and I'm an Amazon Prime baby. Boo hoo.
I wanna watch, but I guess I'll probably get it on DVD at some point.
Do Netflix shows come out on DVD?
Yes they release on DVD every season of Orange is the New Black and Homeland released on DVD.
Daredevil is finally getting it's first season on DVD in October.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureAre Orange Is The New Black and Homeland Netflix originals though? Irrelevant to my point anyway, if Daredevil is getting a DVD release. I'd have thought Netflix would never have released their originals on DVD in the interest of keeping their subscribers.

I must have confused Homeland and House of Cards.
I never watched either series but I get them mixed up.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure
Written and directed by Matt and Ross Duff, whose references include Wayward Pines. It's to be 8 episodes long and to come July 15 this year. Anyone who's a fan of Amblin projects like E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and The Goonies should get a kick out of this show...maybe.
For some reason, considering the kind of show Wayward Pines is, I feel like there's probably a whole lot more going on than the trailer is letting on...
