There are multiple tactics and options that can be applied to this fight, and no forced supports so, hence, much fairer.

And I'm done! the last scene wasn't emotional like LB 2, but it had a peaceful charm to it that I can't hate. Definitely the less emotionally rending if lostbelts
So it's absolutely regrettable that it was almost completely squandered. Nezha, Chen Gong, Red Hare and Mordred were irrelevant, Lanling and the lancer chick were wasted, Old man Li might as well have been an NPC and I have a whole paragraph worth of thoughts for Yu and Xiang Yu. The only people who I felt won this chapter were Spartacus (whose moral quandary was cut short by the superman scene), Jing Ke (she was honestly super great whenever she showed up) and Qin (my dude carried this entire singularity, I love the taste of moral ambiguity in the morning).
For Xiang Yu and Consort Yu, they're romance was half baked to the extreme. These people don't know each other, one is unloading her emotional hang ups over the other's copy on his floor and for some reason I'm meant to give two fucks when he decides to "defend the woman he loves" as if their entire relationship hasn't been anything but her monologuing about how her relationship with the him from another world was to her. I didn't give a shit about Ophelia's crush on Wodime but her many relationship dramas were amusing to observe as a fan of otome game, this one just made me roll my eyes.
Gameplay wise, I only ever used a single command seal and everything else was good supports and Cu Alter massacring my enemies lol, this is probably the easiest time I've had in a while, or maybe I've just gotten better at strategizing.
No comments on the music, I play my game mute.
Overall it's roughly on the same level as every other LB for me, though Qin made it somewhat more enjoyable. Time to wait 6 months for my perfect banner!!
Edit: Oh yeah, and Qin is my favourite LB king so far

Oh I did turn up my volume for china brand shadow borders. Summer music was certainly...a choice. I'll probably try a bit harder to listen to the music more, but I'm never really able to enjoy it because of the battle song in the background.

I figured Xiang just BEEP BOOPED his way into falling in love by analyzing what his other self had done. But its not conveyed well at all!

I can understand why Yu would cling to him but they have a non existent dynamic. I can understand him trying to defend her wishes because she would go so far for him even if it's a different him that looks significantly different, but to claim that he loves her when their own dynamic together is just her fawning over him and him being mildly confused by the stuff she tells him is ???????????
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysIt's same principle as the PHH Xiang Yu, meeting her is what awoke his capacity for human emotions. Before meeting her, he was Just a Machine that looked vaguely humanoid. But after seeing the lengths she would go for someone that wasn't even her original love, the stories she told him of who he was to her... it made something awaken in him. Just as PHH Xiang Yu only felt human when he fell in love with Gucchan, Lostbelt Xiang Yu only felt human when he fell in love too. Since in his eyes, the fact she was willing to go to such lengths for him, a mere machine, meant that he must in fact be worth something, and if his life had value, even if only to her, he would not squander that love. He would fight to the end if it was for the sake of the person who cared about him, even if he had to defy the one who created him, just because he couldn't bare to see her suffer.
That's why the romance works for me, even in the Lostbelt. Gucchan was pretty much Loving a Shadow, but to repay her devotion, Xiang Yu was willing to become more than a shadow. A story of two inhuman beings only truly finding worth in themselves and reasons to live by finding each other, and by finding each other, they became human. Even if separated in life and denied the chance to be together, they finally were able to be Together in Death, and reunited in the next life.

Yeah, I'm happy the relationship worked for you.
But for me it just had too little development. A concept is a concept but how it was handled in the story was just...no.
