Why the hell wouldn't it be?
I mean, we are living in an age where 2 TMNT movies are PG-13, so why not?
Yeah plus is there anything in the trailer that actually points to that PG-13 rating?
35 year old white man.If we see any of the Pokemon actually land an attack, it could be violent enough to warrant PG-13. Plus, if Pikachu makes any borderline risque jokes it'd push the rating.
If Pikachu doesn't make any risque jokes, they'd be blowing the reason people would want to watch Ryan Reynolds.
It would be like casting Mike Myers as The Cat in the Hat and not expecting him to make off-color jokes. Oh wait...

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! This is a franchise with some pervy looking guy named Mr. Bonding.
No one's expecting Deadpool/South Park levels here. but
Pokemon has a Radar page for a reason. It'll be fine.
It's been 3000 years…Pika-dots, or: how many motion capture tracking dots they use on Ryan Reynolds to make Pikachu emote.
The official Detective Pikachu twitter account has three new posters of Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Charizard.
I'm not sure if they're posters in the strictest sense, as it's more to do with various attempts at forming snow angels...
The only reason that the two TMNT movies were PG-13 was because they had Michael Bay directing, with everything that entails.
You mean they had Michael Bay producing, the films were directed by Johnathan Liebesman and Dave Green respectively.
I mean I'm not saying I want it to be PG-13, or that it will most definitely be PG-13. I just find it funny that at this point of time in cinema that can actually happen.
Well, if we're probably not getting a night club with exotic Gardevoir and Lopunny dancers without another rating upgrade
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Dial back the realism a bit, bud.
Wild guess time: whoever's making that hammy speech about the city at the beginning is probably the villain.
The villain is actually the Pikachu
New theme music also a boxThe Mr. Mime in the trailer is the big bad.
If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead? He's the dragon to the big bad
New theme music also a boxBut Mr. Mime is psychic type, not dragon type!
> But Mr. Mime is psychic type, not dragon type!
He's a psychic dragon type now
New theme music also a box
We don’t know. It’s just a rumor.
