being behind a race of Chunni EXPLOSION happy spell casters is a good thing? For the world I mean, its a good thing for us.
Book 5 says hi. Megumin is an outlier in that she min-maxed all her skillpoints into Explosion. The other members of her race, like Yunyun and Megumin's kid sister Komekko are shown to be like traditional Wizards, in that they spread their skillset around. Though they DO love their teleports, but mostly because it's just chuuni to do so.
Just finished the anime. The first episode didn't wow me, but the rest was worth watching. So, so funny with the party all being jerks and freaks.
Watching this show alongside Grimgar makes serious issues regarding the No Life King kinda awkward since said king is a cute and kind shopkeeper in the world of Kono Suba
Since no one has linked it here yet, the post-air special hosted by the voice actresses:
If you skip forward to 8:30 however, you'll see part of the Yunyun special. My God, Megumin, stop slapping Yunyun's yunyuns◊ around like that.

I just love this show for it just totally spits in the face of the "adventurer in another world" plot and just shows how bad it can be for certain people. Its hilarious.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I never know how much I needed an anime that makes fun of RP Gs or an 'adventurer in another world' until I watched Kono Suba. I also wonder why there aren't more parodies like it.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"There'll probably be more showing up soon, considering this show's success.
Re Zero for one shares some of the same aesthetic, up to the protagonist in jersey look.
Original publication dates showed that Re:Zero actually precedes Konosuba by several months. Apparently the authors of both series as well as Mushoku Tensei's (arguably the most popular reincarnation LN right now) are friends with each other.
Konosuba picked up by Yen Press, apparently the manga will be released first.
Per policy, I'd wish someone more intimately associated with this work to move the work pages to simply Konosuba, the title Yen uses; I don't feel like taking away someone else's position as the launcher of a work article.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaSo why was Kazuma's dead considered laugh out loud funny? I mean, it was an embarrassing death, but i didn't see how it would make medical professionals laugh out loud.
Not that Doctors wouldn't laugh at funny deaths, it's just the tales my Doctor friends tell are usually far more embarrassing than Kazuma's original death.
As for his family, i chalk that up Kazuma probably being a dick to them. I mean, it wouldn't surprise me.

I guess they wanted to subvert the "Total loser died heroically and now can now have the life he always dreamed off" trope as much as possible, so Kazuma was a total loser in life and death alike. Also, if I were to take a wild guess, they needed Aqua to rub it in so Kazuma would use his one wish to spite her, but not have her be entirely unsympathetic. So they had pretty much everyone respond in the same way, because asshole-ish behaviour is apparently less so when everyone is in on it.
No, i get what the subvertion was and it was pretty embarrassing. It just didn't seem lol embarrassing or as funny as his other deaths.
But you're probably right that it was likely mostly done so Aqua would rub it in and he would have a reason to use his wish to spite her.
So the OVA just came out.
All I gotta say is The real most interesting man in the world, stay perverted my friends.◊

The OVA's ending was the best part.
It's just like Konosuba to introduce a new character with "Oh yeah we met her on an offscreen adventure."
Kazuma is such a little shit. It's actually amazing how much of a worthless waste of space he is.
Oh god that ending was perfect. The whole time there is one thing we know should happen and it happens and it glorious.
Dunno. I think it basically felt like one joke they dragged out for an entire episode, with a few other jokes in between. Wasn't really any point at all with the episode.

Check out my fanfiction! What do you mean?
Well, yesterday I watched a bunch of the RWBY Chibi. They're a few minutes long each. I found that every single one of them had more and funnier jokes than this episode. There wasn't really anything other than a bunch of random Kazumaservice.
Check out my fanfiction!Oh. Well I guess I didn't have high expectations for the OVA's content. I found it acceptably funny.
I really liked Yunyun though. Crimson Mages ftw.
I thought the OVA was hilarious.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"
The same guy was behind the creation of Megumin's race though, so it's not ALL bad.
