"I am not afraid of being hurt," Cole said simply, shifting his weight from foot to foot. "I have been part of the Inquisition for near a year's time and I have fought a great many powerful beings...stronger and more dangerous than even this Marcus. I can handle it. I can."

He looked down, sighing. "At the very least perhaps I can understand better ways to avoid him in the future. But I am sure I can get through to him if I have the time to hear his hurts."

Sonic though of what Sawyer said, and then came up with a adjustment for it.

"Well, in case you guys forgot or didn't know, I'm the fastest thing alive! He probably can't catch me. If he decides to go after what's attacking him, just retreat, I'll go in and do couple of homing attacks, he regains focus on attacking me, and the cycle repeats. We repeat until he gives up, or we capture him permanently. It's risky, but sometime's you have to live on the edge and just go for it. And hey, if it fails, remember that we can't die here. Darth Marr almost looked like he didn't have a scratch on him when we found him. We can always just meet up back here and try again."

Cole winced a little, looking down and folding his hands, rocking back and forth where he stood. "I died before I ever came here. I would not like to do it again." He glanced to Sonic. "I...would not disagree with company as I search. At a distance, safer, out of the way, but...yes."

The library

Ben half-listened to the group as they made more plans for the fate of Brother Marcus. Ben tried to make input but right now it seemed like almost everyone was disregarding him as a foolhardy child. It didn't exactly do good things for his personal morale. Right now, he was simply too frazzled to be at his best, mentally-speaking. The incident with finding those who had died in the snowstorm yesterday, and then the fight with Brother Marcus, had taken too much out of him. He needed to step out and think.

"I'm sorry, guys," Ben told the group, walking towards the door. "I gotta be by myself for a bit. You guys keep doing what you're doing." Taking a look at the pizza that Rex had asked conjured up, he blinked, then took a slice. "Sweet, pizza," Ben muttered, shoving a piece into his mouth. "Thanks," he told Miss Tairee, before walking out.

He didn't step too far out of the library, he just stood out there by one of the doors, taking a deep breath, while he thought more. What if they were right? What if there really is no way to deal with Brother Marcus without dismembering, torturing, or killing him again? The thoughts buzzed around his head and in hindsight it amused him, because usually it was Gwen or Grandpa that tried to opt for the non-violent solution.

Sonic was sorta speechless. Adam just told him he died twice, and he has also died before he ended up here. Cole has also died as well. He didn't even know if anyone else died other than Darth Marr. He then figured that the blue knight has a long history with the group.

As Ben walked away, seeming a little bit upset,Sonic then turned to a question he had in mind.

"Why are you guys even fighting with him? I don't even get what he did. What did he do that seems to have hurt you guys so much?"

Twilight spent a lot of time absentmindedly looking through books on the Imperium of Man, not entirely paying attention to what she was reading, due to listening in what the others were saying.

In response to Sonic's last question, she said,

"From what I gather, having never personally met him myself yet, it's something to do with how he refuses to speak to them due to the number of non-humans around as well as a generally genocidal mindset."

She then turned to speak to the rest.

"Speaking of which, is there ANY non-humans who his people have had reasonable relations with? Maybe we can mention them in an appeal?"

So apparently, this blue knight wants to kill everyone. Just great. He has dealt with situations where everyone tried to kill him, but not like this. The picture of the knight sorta reminded him of the Black Knight.

Sonic was starting to get tired of talking about plans that have some kind of flaw.

"Ok, We need to figure this out, or he's gonna get us. Do we try to kill him, do we try to capture him, or do we try to reason with him? We need to pick one, and go with it because he might be coming to kick our butts right now."

Cole watched Ben go, turning as though intending to follow, then sighed, shaking his head. "I will go find Marcus, and I will try to talk with him. I can..."

Another soft tone to his voice, another near trance. "Taking too much time, ready to get to the action, so slow, everyone is moving so slowly, let's find this monster and put a stop to it already."

Cole turned a vaguely bemused expression to Sonic at that. "You remind me of my friend Sera."

"Are you daft?" Sawyer's respect for the blue rodent was rapidly decreasing. "We've stressed time and again that killing him is the worst of options possible since it doesn't solve anything."

"If you are so raring to go, then sure, go and get yourself killed." Then her eyes set upon Cole again, the slightest of eyebrow raises present.

"Honestly I can count the number of people from my world I'd prefer to be here besides the lich here on a single hand, and only two of them are from the Order," Plague Knight said to Koishi. "Tinker Knight is the only one I would actually consider a friend, and - "

A knock at the door.

Plague Knight went to the door and opened it -

"HEY HEY HEY, pleasure to meet you, howareya howareya howareya, my name's not important but what I have to under is!"

A little man, slightly shorter than Plague Knight, suddenly came up to his face and acting like one of those greedy hacks which give the Knight's chosen profession a bad name, all while odd music was playing.

"Now picture this my friend! Are you poor, destitute, searching for sustainable income? Or are you just looking for a little extra dosh to fill your coffers? Well well well, because I have the solution for YOU! Yes, YOU! For you see, I have the power to create gold! One-hundred-and-one par-cent, twenty-four care-ret GOLD! Pure legal tender my friend! And I can do so using only a spinning wheel and straw YOU heard that correctly a simple, everyday spinning wheel and common everyday straw! Now you may asking good sir what is the cost for such a stew-pendous service? What do I have to give up for riches, glory, and positive attention from royalty? Well well well, luckily for you, the cost is the most simple price anyone could ask for! For my services, all you need for it is the inconsequential, the unimportant, the extra, EXTRA lowlowlowlowlowlowLOWLOWLOW price of your first born child!

"So, do you accept OF COURSE you accept, PUT 'ER THERE!!"

The little man put out his hand to Plague Knight with a smug look of clear victory on his face, completely expecting the alchemist to automatically accept.

Plague Knight's answer was only stalled to wait to see if there was anything else to be said.

"No, I do not accept," PK responded.

The little man's image was very clearly cracked, despite only the most keen eyes noticing his eyes twitching, his grin growing a little wider, and his hand lowering, all in frustration.

"While you're service sound very "interesting"," PK continued, speaking the last word in obvious sarcasm, "I, however, have my own means of producing gold. Thusly, what you are offering is quite redundant to me, you depraved, conniving, MISCREANT!!"

*SLAM*

*CRACK*

Plague Knight had slammed the door hard on the little man, the loud crack and the muffled cries signalling the alchemist may have broken something. He opened the door again, the little man was now clutching his bleed, broken nose. The little man then looked up directly up at the knight, his eyes now solid black.

"   You BASTARD!   " the man roared, his voice at a demonic, reverberating low octave. "   YOU DARE TO STRIKE DOWN       ME      ?! REFUSE MY GIFTS?! I SHALL SEE THAT THOSE YOU LOVE AND CHERISH SHALL PAY FOR THIS INSULT!! THEY WILL BE RAPED AND RAVAGED, THEIR ORGANS TORN OUT OF THEIR BODIES, AND MADE TO SUFFER ENDLESS PAIN AND TORMENT WITHOUT END OR -   "

*SLAM*

*CRACK*

The little "man" yelled in agony after Plague Knight slammed the door on his again, this time actually catching his arm, making the mistake of pointing an accusing finger at the Knight during his tirade. The Knight opened the door once more, releasing the limb, and the little "man" now trying, in vain to nurse it.

"   You......YOU.....   "

*THWACK*

" - are to leave my premasice immediately," Plague Knight threatened, jabbing the flat end of his cane into the little "man"'s head. After some hesitation, the little "man" decided to finally leave a ran for it. Plague Knight shut the door one last time, this time more gently.

"I loathe to think what kind of society operates with charletans such as he peddles his wares door to door," the knight bitterly commented before returning to the last of his meal.

Grimlock; Human form

Library, with Kieri

Grimlock blinked.

"I'm smaller?" He tilted his head a little. "Oh," he said, understanding what the librarian said. She did say a few big words he didn't get, but he got it for the most part. Her boss made him smaller so he can fit in buildings, and not accidently squish anyone.

He, for sure, didn't want to do the latter. He nearly did it once, he didn't want a repeat with different results.

The librarian then went on to lecture Ben and the clown guy. She said they should know why he did it in the first place, why he thinks anything not human should die. Grimlock might've not known the blue guys exact reasons, but he didn't blame the guy anymore. He was sure the blue guy just thought they were bad guys from what he heard (and could understand) some of the things the others read aloud.

That librarian was nice. Maybe he'll give her a hug when his arm wasn't sore.

Lune said Kieri had a plan after Kierk suggested that they should read a book...from his universe? Grimlock wasn't so sure. Either way, it was so they could know why he acts that way. He thought it was a good idea. Then everyone started talking back and forth about plans and them being bad ideas. He frowned again. He didn't like this. He was reminded of when he didn't get along with the rest of Bumblebee's team. He sagged.

"I miss my team... I wish they were here... They'd figure somethin' out..." Grimlock said, remembering the fun times with his team.

"You said you had a dream... That dream... Make it come true! ... If anyone can, it's you!" - N (shortened) Oh, and I'm a girl.

Kieri glanced up at Lune as she spoke, shrugging. "I n-need to l-look through this before I c-come up with anything concrete, b-but I t-think I can come up w-with something. P-Preferably something t-that minimizes the amount of d-death...I do l-like Ben's idea to t-try and convince him he's in a w-world run by this C-Chaos."

She turned to Grimlock next, resting her hand on his side in an attempt to comfort him. "D-Do not worry," she said softy "y-you'll see them again. After all, w-we can't die h-here, right? A-And whoever is h-holding us here will let us g-go home...I'm s-sure you're friend w-will be happy to s-see you again." 'More than can be said about my friends...' Kieri thought, though she kept that bit to herself.

She perked up instantly at the sound of Cole's idea. It was risky, stupid, and if she went she'd probably get them all killed. Yet...She found herself standing up anyway.

"I'll g-go with you," she volunteered "I...We m-met once b-before. He s-seemed to t-think I was part of his w-world s-somehow, an Angel t-that was in service to the emperor. T-That is...I t-tried to trap him. It d-didn't w-work well at all..." She culled her arms a bit at that, knowing she would've been dead if it weren't for...

"...Why d-did he disappear?" Kieri asked with wide eyes, her head perking up high as memories from last night flooded in.

That is all there is to say, and I will say no more.

If only there was some place with no burning, with Mary, Sadness, and Asgore

As Mary had stopped in her tracks, Asgore and/or Sadness would presumably turn around to look at her, and would then see something that definitely wasn't there before. A massive vinestalk stretching into the sky to reach a floating island about a hundred feet in the air. It looked to be made up mostly of trees and other plants hanging onto floating rocks.

They'd also see that the sky was just barely starting to tinge orange, the fake sunset approaching.

Talk talk talk at the library

Miss Tairee mostly ignored the conversation now, especially since none of them really seemed to be talking to her. She did however at one point look Sawyer's way and mutter under her breath, "reminds me of the newscasters back in my home universe..."

But as it went on, Miss Tairee looked up to see that the sky was starting to tinge orange, and the floating island visible in the distance. She let out a quick sigh, and got up from her chair to walk over to the group. Miss Tairee then cleared her throat to get their attention. "Sorry to interrupt, but I have an appointment coming soon that will be taking me away from the library. If you need any help or want to find another book, now's the last chance" Miss Tairee told them, managing to keep a professional tone despite the fact that something seemed to be bothering her.

"I'm s-sorry to ask at the l-last moment," Kieri piped up "b-but...Is it p-possible for someone in t-this city to teleport as if t-they just d-died w-without dying?"

Outside the library

And as in uffish thought he stood, Ben noticed that the sky was beginning to turn orange to signify the coming evening. And as he looked into the sky, his eyebrow raised when he saw the vinestalk and the floating island high above the now forest-like city. Ben furrowed his brow.

"Oh, I've read this one before," he muttered, moving quickly in the direction of the base of the stalk as he spoke. "This is one of those fairy tale things where there's a giant that goes Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum and grinding your bones to make his bread and all that. Well I'm not gonna let any giant grind my bones for his bread!" He began to ready his Omnitrix as he walked. "Time to show this giant how we do things Hero style!

After walking through the woods for a while - and bumping into a whole bunch of weird things wandering around the forest looking for stuff note  Morty wound his way through the branching forest paths, not really following any one direction.

A weird little man in a big top hat- accompanied a crazy-looking rabbit- offered him some tea as he passed some kind of weird outdoor tea party, but Morty just shrugged it off and kept walking. The library had to be here somewhere, right? By the time he reached the gingerbread house for the second time that afternoon the sky was already starting to turn orange. Good riddance, he thought- his ugly, itchy medieval clothing had worn out its welcome long ago. The giant beanstalk that had sprouted up out of the ground wasn't exactly bringing back any good memories, even if Ben and some of the others had started to congregate around it.

"Aw jeez." Morty rubbed the back of his head self-consciously as he stared up at the bean. "T-t-that's a giant... giant beanstalk, isn't it? I g-got a bad feeling here. Cause, you know, t-there's probably a real... big... giant up on the other end of that cloud. I, uh, I, that's something I don't wanna go through again, you know? Nuh-uh. Me and Rick, uh, we went up a beanstalk once, and uh, things got real outta hand. I, uh, I say we leave him alone, you know? That giant probably is just mindin' his own business."

I don't...know what the rest of you are planning but...I should go and do this. It's something I can do..."

On exiting the library however, and catching sight of the tone of the sky...and a giant beanstalk, leading up into...something.

Cole stood in the doorway and stared at it a moment, grimacing. "I still think this is the Fade. The realm of dreams would be as strange as all this."

Asgore began turning around to address Mary "Is something..." he then stopped on his tracks as he saw the giant beanstalk grow into the sky and stared at it wide-eyed "... wrong...?" he finished his sentence, looking complete and utterly confused by what he had just witnessed.

He then heard the call of another person, another human had showed up. He seemed to be friendly as he waved at them, so he should be trustworthy enough and maybe he could even be of help to them.

"Uh, howdy!" said Asgore, still a little distracted by the giant beanstalk and in fact, it was all that was in his mind at time, so he couldn't even try to think of small talk. Still, he kept a small smile on his face so that the human wouldn't be suspicious of him

Lune listened to Kieri and nodded. It's best for her to wait until the book is finished being read for a plan regarding Brother Marcus to be made. She also listened to Kieri comfort Grimlock. She wondered what the pilots of the Masoukishin are up to in her absence. Maybe another war was happening in La Gias and they are attempting to stop it before it got out of hand.

As soon as Ms. Tairee announced that she was going out for an important meeting, and this was the chance to ask for a book. "If it's not too much of a hassle, are there any books on how to coordinate attacks in an effective manner?"

Answering questions in the library

"Well, yes" Miss Tairee said to Kieri, her eyebrow raising in slight confusion, as if that answer were obvious. "Have you not noticed? The entire city except for this building and the outer edge are constantly shifting. It's mostly based on line of sight, proximity, and physical contact; you won't teleport from inside a building to outside, but the whole building can move while you're in it. The switch from one day to the next can be especially tricky however, if the shape of the city as a whole needs to change" she explained to the angel.

Then she looked to Lune, giving a more neutral if just a tad deadpan expression. "Yes, too many to count. You'll have to be more specific" Miss Tairee told her. "Are you looking for combined magical attacks? Spiritual attacks? Combined martial arts moves? Combined arms tactics? Literal combining of arms attacks? What sort of 'attacks' are you talking about here?" she asked in return, putting her hands on the opposite wrists, "or do you just mean coordinated tactics?"

Koishi had enough with these beggars and solicitors. Where she was from, the only kind of people who intrude on the privacy of a random person's home for such trivial manners are bandits and witch-thieves. Most people don't have the decency of knocking in Gensokyo, either, but in principle it was all the same in Koishi's view. The last one to appear managed to distract Koishi enough with his terrible tone of voice that there was no way she could eat the last of these little potato-things.

Something must be done!

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Koishi got up from the table in a sudden movement. "I'm full. I need to go get some fresh air," she said in a tone that poorly hid the contempt she felt. She walked over to the door in a huff, her elbows swinging wildly with the swagger she put into her step. "Maybe I'll tell someone to not knock on this door. Maybe at least one of us can finish his meal in peace while I'm out." She got to the door, unaware she was speaking all of what she intended as internal monologue. "Maybe people can learn some-"

"-manners." As she opened the wooden portal into the darkening yard, she was greeted by yet another beggar. This one looked like a massive woman, her face so frighteningly ugly and nose so long that she briefly thought it was made out of the knot of a tree. And, worst of all, she appeared to be floating above the ground in a similarly massive stone bowl. For no particular reason.

"Well, if it isn't a woman of the cloth," she said with a voice sickeningly sweet and so rusted from age it sounded inhuman. "You're just the person I need. You see, my grandchildren...they just ran away from home!" The hag made a wide, sweeping gesture with her hands, which Koishi noticed were gnarled and extremely long, like tree branches. "If you could spare some of your time and help me find them, I'd-"

Koishi shut the door faster than she had shut any door before. She turned back to the table, the anger in her face replaced with surprise and fear.

"This place is terrible! Nothing makes sense, and I don't think it ever will make any sense!" She slumped down on the door in defeat, her hands holding her head.

As the others planned on what to do with Marcus, Marr decided to check the library for more information they could maybe use to know more about their new enemy.

As he looked...a book caught his attention...it was named "Star Wars: The Old Republic: Knights of the Fallen Empire", and it showed The former Sith Emperor Valkorion, along with his son Arcann and daughter Vaylin..

"So what the secretary said is true...I'll see if I can gain any advantage against the Eternal Empire with this.."

Darth Marr opened the book and started reading...as he started to read more...everything slowly hit him...

While he is gone...both the Republic and the Sith Empire were defeated, the Supreme Chancellor too blind on her hatred of the Sith to even consider a alliance with them to defeat the Eternal Empire, and instead...

Waged both a war against both the Eternal Empire and the Sith Empire.

   "WHAT?!"

Darth Marr yelled out in anger as he kept reading.

No...this cannot be possible..

He kept reading, it seems that also a few heroic figures of the Republic, such as the Barsen'thor, the Voidhound and the Commander of Havoc Squad all but disappeared entirely, and not only that, Darth Nox, the Empire's Wrath, Cipher Nine and the Great Hunt Champion also disappeared.

"This cannot end into a loss like this... even Grandmaster Satele Shan must had reasoned with the chancellor."

And then he got to the aftermath of the conquest of the Eternal Empire.

Both Tython and Korriban were left in shambles and ruins, and Coruscant and Dromund Kaas were overwhelmed, and the others colonies were decimated, and a peace treaty was enforced by the Eternal Empire...the conditions were for the military forces of the Republic and Sith Empire to be effectively removed or destroyed, submitting themselves to the Eternal Empire and they were turned into..

tributary...

........

........

Darth Marr immediately force pushed the book in anger to a wall, it hit the wall with a loud THUD as he stared at it in anger and he breathed heavily.

"Hm. Wonder whether there's a book out there on me too." Obviously, Sawyer didn't bother to check that fact, not after seeing what Marr just did.

It was high time for them to leave; cold comfort in case that marine stumbled into them in the open. She hated to admit it, but with that executioner sword she was useless.

Which reminded her, she had to ask a question.

"Excuse me." She addressed Miss Tairee, tilting her head a little. "Do you know how can I change that sword back into a chainsaw?"
