Nightfall

Gentaro checked the pizza out and was appropriately skeeved out by the one with spiders topping. He didn't have the displeasure of accidentally biting into one, but the scowl on his face told of his opinion all the same. His first thought was to just ignore the pizza, but... But it was pizza...! And also it somehow felt like an eternity since he last ate, so he took at least one normal slice to go with him.

He trekked back up to the other levels to keep reading through books, apparently still following Alice's suggestion to find material that could help them learn more about the world they were in and to find that "Gensokyo Chronicles" book. It hadn't occurred to him to just check back and see if she found it, but he still gathered up plenty of material to read from the third floor and fourth floor and dumped it all on a table to read through.

Unfortunately, Gentaro's capacity to study didn't last him very long past a few books. He skimmed through the contents of the history books he grabbed as they mostly seemed to pertain to Earth history he already knew. And... one weird book on the history of some weird bug looking race. After reading that Gentaro decided he wasn't going to get anywhere and started on the stories he picked up.

He skimmed through one of them, but stopped a moment when he saw a few familiar names pop up. Shotaro... Philip... Eiji... Those were his fellow Kamen Riders! And he recognized the plot to this story as well, having only experienced it last year himself! "What the...? This guy got down everything from that day!" Utterly stunned by the accuracy of the account, Gentaro accidentally let himself get sucked into the book.

There were a few events that happened then that he didn't know about, such as the encounter Eiji personally had with Foundation X and what kicked Shotaro into action to help. He was reminded of Nadeshiko, though, and that... That got to him. By the end of that particular book Gentaro's eyes were heavy and not just from how sleepy he was feeling at that point. He was going to see if he could find another book specifically related to his life and if it had recorded what went on during the whole Zodiarts business, but he decided to close his eyes for a bit and rest them.

That accidentally turned into full on sleeping, so he was out like a light for the rest of the night.

A Space-Man's Woods

Gentaro eventually came to thanks to Victor's staff tapping. With a groan, he stretched and yawn and was just about to start his normal morning routine when he realized a few things. 1) He was in a sleeping bag, not the futon. 2) This wasn't his house! And 3) The library he was in the other day was suddenly completely wood!!!

Well, that wasn't much cause for alarm in Gentaro's ahead, though it did just confuse the heck out of him. Victor's explanation didn't help his groggy head none, so he just decided to worm his way out of the sleeping bag and check it out himself.

"Oof... Remind me not to sleep with my stuff on me, this junk pokes like crazy," he noted aloud. He followed the others over to the door to inspect the insane wildlife that literally grew overnight, though he witnessed Josuke's critical pomp failure before stepping out himself. "Gah! That stinks, dude!" He cried out in sympathy.

He hung back at the door, watching all the weird creatures rolling through and listening in on the discussion that was being had. Granted, all he was getting from it was that it was dangerous outside and that was all he needed to hear.

"Hey," he piped up, "If you guys gotta go out, I'll suit up and come with. Safety's important, right?"

Personally, Gentaro didn't feel safe trying to navigate through the forest without being suited up. What if something weird suddenly jumped out at them and made them fall into those really freaky plants? Or if a really freaky plant suddenly jumped out at them? Rather than holding off for an emergency, he decided to just cut to the chase and pull out the Fourze driver.

After taking a few steps back so as not to mix anyone up in his transformation effects, he slapped the silly looking contraption to his waist where a belt suddenly emerged and secured it in place. Following that, he flicked the four red switches down, causing a countdown to suddenly start up from the belt. To wait down the countdown, Gentaro adopted a pose. Left arm up and hand balled into a fist and the right hand wrapped firm around the lever jutting out.

"Three... Two... One..."

"Henshin!"

Gentaro firmly pushed the lever forward and then raised his hand up high as a strange portal machine suddenly emerged from the belt and raised up above him. Lights and steam rushes down from it and to the sides, obscuring the high schooler for a few moments before dispersing and revealing the transformed Kamen Rider Fourze.

"Alright! Ready to roll out."

''Current Form: Human -> Model L

Biometal A Status: Functional''

After finishing her slices, Ashe just relaxed into her seat. She looked to Model A floating beside her, who was observing the library.

This place looks so old. Did human libraries really look like this before?

She scanned the library again. He was right about it looked ancient. Not that there was a place comparable to a library in her time. She only heard of the ancient world's database since she was a Hunter. Now that she thought about it, she's never read a book before. Books became obsolete by her time. Most information portably stored were recorded on data disks.

But to Model A's question, she shrugged and looked back at him. "All I know was that they existed. There wasn't anything else as far as I know."

She yawned and her eyes felt heavier after that. She held out her hand near Model A. He knew what that meant, "Let me put you in my pocket or get left outside." Model A sighed.

All right... He landed on Ashe's hand, then he mumbled, Even though I'm not sleepy...

Ashe smiled warmly before putting him into her waist pocket. Ashe stretched her arms then finally let sleep take her. Unknown to her, she was transfered into a sleeping bag onto the floor. Subconsciously, her body noticed the change and relaxed even more, not noticing Undyne's arm over her.

...

Ashe flinched, her eyes still closed. At first, she thought it was just a mechaniloid fly or something and so she ignored it. Then it kept continuing, and she realized it felt wet. She experimently opened one eye but closed it again when the thing hit her eye. Then she realized she was covered in something. She looked down and saw that she inside a sleeping bag, and it was drizzling.

Ashe groaned. What a great way to wake up...to rain... She blinked and thought for a moment. Wait...rain?!

She opened up the sleeping bag and sat up. The library, if she could even call it that, had vines and greenery everywhere. She couldn't tell if the walls were still walls or just closely clustered trees. Although she reasoned it was the latter; how else she could feel the raindrops?

Model A floated out and looked to her. H-Hey Ashe! You all right?

Ashe let out a deep breath. It seemed she had panicked for a second. She gave a reassuring smiled at him.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just..." she covered her eyes as the rain fell. "...just surprised it was raining when there was supposed to be a roof."

Oh yeah...

Ashe thought for a moment then said, "Do you think we can Megamerge and turn into Model L? I think it'd be better if I was something that'd be fine in the rain."

You know you don't need to ask, silly.

Ashe just smiled and held the Biometal. She held him up and said, "A-Trans!"

A flash of light and she had blue vambraces and shinguards while her thighs had white armor. Her blue helmet had a red triangle crystal on her forehead and had a thin jet wing-like protrusion jutting out. In her hand was a white partisan and her build looked less feminine.

With that done, she finally looked around the library with more attention. That was when she saw the pile of armor near another sleeping that was close to hers. She blinked.

"Uh...wasn't that Undyne's armor?" she said with a childish male voice.

Look behind you.

Ashe did, and she saw Undyne without her armor. She looked like rather human, bar her face and skin color, was wearing lcasual clothing, and was doing pushups with one arm.

She looked around again then said, "Hey, Undyne, you wouldn't happen to know why the place suddenly looks like a jungle?" She focused on a tree. It wasn't techno-organic. She said mostly to herself, "A real jungle?"

"You said you had a dream... That dream... Make it come true! ... If anyone can, it's you!" - N (shortened) Oh, and I'm a girl.

In the skies

Flying up high enough to escape the reach of all the plants presented a problem: not being able to see the building signs. The buildings all looked mostly similar before, and now that they were all wood it was even worse. What would catch Alice's attention though was a plaza of sorts; a square of buildings facing each other with a large set of walkway space between such as to set up a near perfect plaza, just with a few open spots that looked down into the jungle growth, and one big opening that had a ramp leading down to one of the crevices.

There was a moderate gathering of people there as the place seemed somewhat notable amidst the otherwise random nature of the city, even though none of the buildings there were actually important. One of them was, however, an arts and crafts shop that was nobody was in currently. The people outside had a greater interest in looting one of the other buildings, a restaurant, for some food. Others had their attention drawn to the ramp leading down to the crevice, and a few people looked like they were contemplating going down there, as it looked like a clear path for travel; there wasn't any bugs currently visible from the ramp.

Stinkfly heard the loud buzzing of what sounded like a giant bee, turning around just to see the Zinger get snatched up by a plant's maw. "Whoa, in this jungle, the plants bite back..." he muttered. "I should just.... go back to the library now," he muttered, moving quickly enough to dodge a lash by one of the plants below. It must've mistaken Stinkfly for one of the local insects. Well, okay, "local" wasn't exactly the proper word...

Quickly, Stinkfly tried to dash back towards the library, where he knew he would be safe. He needed a plan of attack. Besides, it didn't SEEM like anyone was in real danger on the ground. It was only in the air when things started to get dangerous. As odd as that sounded.

Once he landed back in the library, he noticed a couple of other people had already woken up. "Hey guys," Stinkfly greeted, looking at who else seemed to be here. Rick, Morty, Viktor, and a couple of people he had still not been introduced to. One was a tall blonde woman in medieval-looking armor, another was a younger-looking girl in blue armor. As well as someone who looked like a spaceman with red goggles. Huh. Had he been gone that long? "Hey, uh, have we met?" he asked the three of them.

"So... wh-what are we waiting for, Rick?" said Morty, looking nervously down at the jungle- and wincing when the huge red crab-creature was summarily ensnared and devoured by a particularly nasty looking plant. "Oh jeez, Rick. We're going, uh, we're going all the way down to the forest floor? I mean, that's, that's pretty dangerous."

"We're *urp* we're going off the grid, Morty. I g-g-got a theory that I wanna test out on these bugs." Rick took another shot as he spoke. "We gotta try and catch one, Morty! We gotta catch one, a-a-and bring it back to my lab alive."

"But-"

"Don't ask- *urp* don't think about right now, MOOOOOrty! Why can't you be like that girl, huh? It's an adventure, Morty. Who doesn't like adventures, am I right? Wubba-lubba-dub-dub!" This last comment was punctuated by a sort of impromptu dance; Rick raised his canteen and bounced around for a few seconds before regaining his usual composure.

"Alright," he said, tossing something to Mary after affirming that Legion had a gun of his own. On closure examination, it resembled a gun- a gun that had been cobbled together out of some household electronics and appliances; a pair of toaster heating elements looped back into what looked like a cell phone charger, connected in turn to some kind of nasty-looking pronged device.

"We're *urp* we're gonna play a game," explained Rick, walking over to Mary as he spoke. If you see something with a lot of legs flying or crawling around, whatever, you point that end at whatever it is and squeeze that trigger. Yell for Grandpa Rick if you hit it... or uh, if things go south. Okay, honey?"

"Rick! You can't just give guns to little kids! She could, I dunno, hurt somebody or something!"

"Jeez, Morty, unbunch your *urp* panties, okay? The gun's nonlethal. It had to be, because we want to bring in this bug alive. It'll jUUUUUst disable your nervous system for a few hours. Three, four hours tops. I thought of *urp* every contingency, Morty!" Rick tapped the side of his temple knowingly before swigging back some more alcohol. Morty groaned and rolled his eyes as he caught an identical weapon.

After thinking about it again for a moment, Gentaro decided the Astroswitches loaded into the driver already wouldn't be incredibly helpful in case anything came up. Its default load-out was Rocket, Launcher, Drill, and Radar, though he figured those last three wouldn't be of much use in keeping anything weird off or keeping the others safe. And the switch he had in mind had to replace Rocket so he just sucked it up and replaced his entire load-out.

The four new switches he pulled out were of varying shape and color. The first was dark pink in color and numbered 5 with a straightforward flip switch on top of it. The second was blue and numbered 8, it had a turning mechanism resembling a wheel on the top. The third was light green, numbered 16, and had what looked like a hook on its side at the top. The last one was red, numbered 20, and had a very small box shape on top of it with a pull ring attached to the side. The driver made note of each change with a voice similar to the one that made the countdown.

"Magic Hand."
"Chainsaw."
"Winch."
"Fire!"

It was then he noticed Stinkfly landing back down and asking about them. "Uhhh... Have we?" Gentaro scratched the side of his helmet in lieu of being able to do that to his actual head. "No, wait, lemme guess!" Looking Stinkfly over, he noticed that his appearance was similar to Ben's, or at least it was similar to his shirt. After connecting the dots, he raised his finger in realization.

"Ah, yeah! We have! I'm me, Gentaro, Ben." He bumped his chest and held his fist out at the gross alien bug in front of him, "I transform like you to kick butt! ...Well, not into aliens or anything, but into this," he held his arms out to gesture, "Kamen Rider Fourze!"note

Taking note of arts and crafts shop, Alice quickly flew over and landed on the plaza, but before, she began to take a look at her surroundings just to be sure. She noticed the crevice and that some people were foolishly considering going there and, out of her own curiosity, she decided to direct one of her dolls to it as bait.

"I don't like using them for this, but better than letting these people get killed by their own curiosity" she thought, letting out a sigh.

Rick had given Mary a gun to trap one of the bugs that lived in the new jungle. Rex thought that was not a smart move and according to the drunk scientist, it was supposed to be non-lethal. Rex didn't want to risk someone getting injured.

"There's no need to give a gun to a child" he said while trying to take the gun away from Rick. "Look, if you can fix this with one of the bugs I can bring you one. Like I said, I've dealt with bugs in the past."

He then created a giant black tentacle from his arm attached to his back with a giant metallic and glowing backpack-like machine.

Plaza area

There was a few mutterings of confusion as people saw the doll slowly drift down the path into the crevice. For a little bit, nothing happened and everything seemed fine, until about three seconds after the doll had reached the bottom. Then, a number of giant grasshoppers all poked out of their hiding holes to take a look, and then attack. Making very sudden jumps, they all piled onto the doll, shoving it down into the mud as they started biting it wherever they could reach. Up at the top of the ramp plenty of the people there gasped slightly. One person in particular expressed plenty of their sentiments exactly, saying aloud, "alright, I'm out! Little floating doll girls and giant bugs; I'm not dealing with that!" He, along with most of them there, started to disperse.

Back down in the crevice, the giant grasshoppers started making disappointed and indignant chirping noises as they realized that the doll was not in fact made of edible flesh, and dispersed back to their hiding holes. The doll was left abandoned, dirty with mud and covered with marks from their mandibles.

Alice sighed in annoyance as he heard the one person make their comment.

"Ungrateful humans... I'm starting to regret having wasted one of my precious dolls to keep them safe." she grunted.

She then had one of her other dolls move to the one that got attacked and bring her over, Alice then held her in order to see the damage done.

"Dress is ruined... Hair is a mess... Bite marks all over the body... Mud everywhere..." she sighed once more as she saw the pitiful state of her doll "Don't worry, I'll fix you up..."

She then began heading into the arts and craftmanship store, thankful that everybody had decided to ignore the place so that she could be left by herself.

"So!" Undyne clapped her hands loudly. "We all seem to agree that no one has any idea what the hell is going on here. Question is, what do we do now? Personally, I'm guessing our, ah, host has some weird chore for us to do. Or something for us to kill."

She looked around to see Gentaro transforming. Could everyone here transform except her? Must be a human thing.

"And since you're all suiting up anyway, we might as well go exploring." Undyne summoned a spear to her hand and began to walk towards the walkways that connected the different buildings. She turned back to her friends a moment. "Don't suppose any of you have bug spray?"

Library, guns for minors and bugs for crazy scientists edition

The problem at first was that there didn't seem to be anything for Rex to grab; he knew there must be bugs down there, but they were all in their hiding holes. The obvious solution was to poke around one of the hiding holes and see if he could get one; sure enough, within moments a blue colored beetle about the size of his head was latching onto the black tentacle, as was three of its buddies. So now all he had to do was reel back and- oh now there was a small swarm of giant mosquitoes buzzing around the tentacle; well that wouldn't be a pro- and now there was a praying mantis as big as Rex latching onto the tentacle as well- and some sort of four legged bug taller than Rex with oversized jaws and little pincer arms was biting onto the end of it and pulling with surprising strength. This was starting to become an issue, as Rex was quickly finding it difficult to reel his tentacle arm back in.

The matter was settled when a tarantula larger than a pickup truck lunged from its hole in the side of the crevice, grabbing the tentacle as it tried to bite into it, and pulled with all its weight and strength. Rex was yanked over the edge of the walkway, sending him hurtling into the crevice just a short distance from where the bugs were still gathered to get at the tentacle; it wouldn't be long until they turned their attention to the new meat...

Mary took the "gun" almost immediately upon the mention of a game. It seemed easy to play. Point that end towards things with many legs, then pull the "trigger" and call Rick if something happens. Of course, she wasn't aware of the fact that she was holding the gun upside down and not by the grip like she was supposed to. In fact, she wondered why that specific pa-FIRE?!

"Fire?!" the fabricated girl cried out, before proceeding to quickly look around for any traces of smoke and pointing the upside-down gun wherever her eyes darted to. "Where? Where?!"

It took her a rather long while to notice there was really no fire at all, at which point she went from startled to annoyed fairly quickly.

"Hey, that wasn't fun!" she exclaimed, stomping her foot on the walkway. "Fire is dangerous, you know!"

Gon wasted no time to stay around the area and decided to move out. He searched the hallways and saw that it was made of wood.

Wood.

The assassin knew that making normal footsteps was too dangerous since doing it would make a lot of noise.

If the building's made of wood, that means the elevator may be a no go. I'll try the emergency stairs.

Gon drew out the Glock 19 and made sure to mount the suppressor. He raised it and approached the door. Seeing that it was all clear, he proceed to walk down very carefully, although he didn't want to walk slow for fear of delaying what he needs to do.

Josuke took note of Gentaro's transformation.

"Oh! So you're a sentai hero, huh?" He gave a subdued, yet appreciative grin at the sight of the Kamen Rider's new guise.

Of course, then Rick went on about having an adventure, which...honestly didn't sound too bad to the teen. Just waiting around all day in a wooden library would be boring, and he had a feeling his abilities would come in handy with how dangerous the world's become.

Especially so, with the fact that another kid had joined up with them, seemingly the youngest and most harmless one out of everyone so far.

"Eh...Y'know...I think I agree with everybody sayin' we shouldn't let kids handle laser guns." He said, motioning towards Mary. "I definitely don't think we should be telling her it's a 'game' either."

The high school student tried to hide the extent of his worry when she started holding the gun upside down...

"An excellent point. Firearms use often takes lengthy training. It may be best if we issued the weapon to someone more capable," stated Legion, entirely unaware of what that might cause Mary to do.

The geth then proceeded to notice that Rex had been dragged into the depths below. "Alert! Man overboard!" Legion sprinted over to the edge, leaned down, and began firing on the bugs with its pulse rifle, the weapon spitting electrically-charged tungsten projectiles at its targets. While it had nowhere near the impact of the Widow, it made up for that in fire rate and ammunition.

Rex felt to the crevice when the bugs pulled from his tentacle arm. Those bugs sure were tougher than they looked, Rex should have probably electrocuted them but he wanted to go easy on them.

And now Legion was firing at the bugs. That was helpful sure but given what happened last time with Legion and the fact that the insects liked to swarm on they target Rex didn't feel so sure about the geth's help.

"Wait, Legion don't shoot at them. You may hit me or one of the plants, but most importanly me. I can deal with them without projectiles."

The teenager proceeded to create a giant orange sword from his left arm and then changed the tip of it into a buzzsaw.

The bugs swarmed at Rex, as was typical of them, with the one with giant jaws apparently taking the lead though he kept his distance after seeing Rex's buzzsaw.

"Say hello to my... Big Fat friend!" Rex said before cutting one of the legs of the giant spider, "You know? that sounded a lot better in my head."

Morty screamed as Mary grabbed the gun (all too eagerly) from Rick and eagerly started swinging it around when she heard the word fire.

"For shit's sake, Rick, make her put down the gun! She-she's gonna kill somebody!" Morty put his arms over his head and backed away from the all-too-enthusiastic little girl, in case she accidentally fired off a round or two.

"*urp* Relax, Morty. I mean, what, worst-case scenario, sh-she takes somebody outta commission for a few hours? That's, that's nothing. What, you'd think I'd put antimatter technology or genetic weaponry in the hand of a little kid? I'm pu-keep- I'm pullin' my punches here, because I'm not stupid, Morty. Morty sighed in exasperation and rolled his eyes at his grandfather. The teenager turned away... just in time to see Rex get yanked over the railing. Morty groaned and hurried over to the edge of the railing; through the thick spiny greenery he could just barely see Rex facing off against what looked like a massive swarm of oversized insects.

"Rick, do something!"

"Man, this is," said Rick, eying the melee below them, "it's like one of those cage fights you get out on those unregistered asteroids! Oh man, Morty, if this- if this was a betting event I'd definitely put my money on that kid. He's gonna, he's gonna turn 'em into bug puree or something, I bet."

"Geez, you, uh, you really think so? I mean, I th-thought we'd have to do some kind of daring, you know, a daring rescue."

"Oh yeah, it's gonna be fine. He's got this. Hey Morty, little girl, shoot one of those bugs if you think you get a cl-clean *urp* shot. Grandpa needs a specimen or three."

"Rick..."

Art Shop

Once there, Alice began exploring the place looking at what they had to offer. Fabrics, doll parts... Everything she could find that could be used for her dolls she picked up. Soon enough all of her dolls excpet for the one that got attacked were carrying bags full of materials that would be used later. She enjoyed the peace and quiet of the shop, but she figured she would return to the library since at least there she could read and make her dolls at the same time. After getting everything she needed, she walked off the shop and took flight once more.

The Skies

As Alice was heading back to the library in the rain, as her dolls were now busy carrying her stuff for her, she began to hear a very loud buzzing noise behind her and turned around just in time to see a massive green mantis with scythes for hands come charging at her and be able to quickly get out of the way alongside her dolls.

"It just had to be now while I'm carrying materials..." said Alice, grunting as she saw the bug begin to turn around.

With that Alice began flying away towards the library again, flying as fast as she could in order to outrun the insect as it relentlessly chased her.

Stinkfly turned as soon as Rex was yanked off the side, and he flew over to try and help him. However, when Rex ordered the others to stand down, he obediently did, not looking too happy to be doing so. Luckily, a loud noise caught his attention, and he turned to see Alice being chased by what looked like a giant mantis of some kind. Stinkfly grinned and his wings picked up. He then began to fly towards the Snimon.

"Alice!" he exclaimed. "Get down to the library! I'll handle this guy..." Stinkfly insisted, then flew between Alice and the Snimon. "Hey, big n' ugly! Yeah, I'm talking to you! Why don't you pick on a bug like yourself?!" he asked. He then began to fire globules of acidic goop from his eyes directly at the Snimon.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.
