I do, but the only FE fic I've read within recent memory was a Self-Insert Kamen Rider Blade crossover.
That said, I did once have the idea to take the Evangelion cast and story and then (loosely) adapt them to a Fire Emblem type of universe.
I even still have the character-to-class listing and basic introduction text I made, somewhere or other.
While I'm here, I don't suppose you know of any good Eirika x Lyon fic? Hopefully one with a happy ending?

Feonyx from FFN has some good stories, even though he seems to have stopped writing years ago. His writing's very Pratchett-esque.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.I would love any (good) fic in which Lyon gets a good ending.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas Edison<has never read Pratchett> Got a link there, friend?
Symmetry's a decent place to start. (Unfortunately, the sequel, Cascade, is permanently unfinished. Pity, as it was going great places.)
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Reading that and it's pretty good but I have no idea why the Sacred Stone of Renais still exists.
I went and looked through the FE page on FFN and holy shit there's a lot of Awakening.

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonWell of course there are. Awakening is the series that introduced a new whole crowd (for better or worse and that is all I'm going to say) to this franchise.
I was actually thinking of making a crossover fic with Sword Art Online and Fire Emblem.
You gotta start somewhere.Fire Emblem Online would basically be Alfheim, but without the Elf/Fairy theme.
Except FEO is replacing Aincrad.
You gotta start somewhere.Whaaaaat?! But part of the whole thing about Aincrad is that it's a fantasy MMO that doesn't have any form of magic!!
Yeah, but death is still final.
You gotta start somewhere. If you want crossovers, there's all kinds of fun to be had guessing the identity of the Tactician. What do we know about him/her, just based on the actions of the average player?
Well, if we focus on the fact that the Tactician seems to be a quiet creature with little combat ability of her own, has an obsession with hoarding all the weapons ever, will steal everything that's not bolted down (and will exploit glitches to steal things that are), grinds the army up to insane power levels, and most importantly can reset time to fix things that went badly, we can only presume that Homura Akemi somehow found her way to Elibe, and is now on a quest to gather up the strongest warriors and the strongest weapons to throw against Walpurgisnacht.
On the other hand, if we look at the self-serving Tactician fanfics that are everywhere, it seems that he has a reputation for heroism and a luck with the ladies that borders on the supernatural, even though the actual battlefield sees him hiding behind a rock bawling encouragement to the army while not doing any real fighting himself. It seems that Sir Harry Flashman has been leaving the same trail of chaos, confusion, and angry husbands/brothers/boyfriends/fathers in Elibe as on Earth.

Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three. So, Fire Emblem Online:
As a side note, I might have Kayaba switch player's classes at random to keep players on their toes, to make sure I'm not writing the same battle scenes, to keep characters from being to OP as fuck or let other characters be awesome while Kirito learns on how to depends on others and I've seen a class randomizer hack for Blazing Sword.
Also, I'm making OC's as I can't exactly have a badass army with the amount current characters.
Classes (these are they're starting classes that they're going to have at first):
Kirito: Myrmidon -> Swordmaster. Kirito in-canon has the personality of your typical Navarre/Ayra expy. In this fic, he's more or less a composite character of canon Kirito and SAO Abridged Kirito. Instead of the lonely guy we see in canon, we see a guy being haunted by his inability to save his loved one (Sachi) and has issues even after he (eventually) falls in love with Asuna that can be solved with therapy and time though her love does help.
Klein: Mercenary -> Hero. I think he has the personality and he thinks that Katanas Are Just Better.
Asuna: Pegasus Knight-> Falcon Knight: The GBA version where they equip spears and then later swords. She would be naive and very reliant on Kirito and Klein as I think this is her first MMO.
Silica: Manakete. Self explanitory.
Unrelated to this fic, I need a class name for a unpromoted version of a mounted magic user.
You gotta start somewhere.Regarding your class question, FE 4 has three possible promotions for Mages, dependent upon the unit in question - there's Sage, Magefighter (gains swords and half-decent melee utility), and Mage Knight (basically the same kind of deal as FE 8's Mage Knight or Awakening's Dark Knight).
Not the way Kirito was written in canon. YMMV, though.
The Mage Knight class is a thing in universe. The character in question, was training to be one but then the plot of my fanfic happens and she gets crippled via an arrow.

One Strip! One Strip!The back.
You gotta start somewhere.Buuuuuuuut that's irrelevant to the topic at hand.
....anybody have any FE recs on hand?
I saw a pretty good one awhile back that focused on a pairing between Lucina and a Avatar-father Noire, but I can't remember what it was called.
Oh God! Natural light!I unfortunately have no ideas for any serious Fire Emblem stories due to still being something of a newbie (came in with Awakening, and still have a lot to learn).
Maybe a comedy about what Lucina was doing offscreen when she wasn't saving her dad's ass.
Like accidentally hitting her head on a tree branch while leaving after preventing the first assassination of Emmeryn or something like that.
Or an outtakes type thing.
One Strip! One Strip!Play the GBA games, dude, at least.
I may, but as I've mentioned on multiple thread, I gotta take care of my gaming backlog.
It won't be happening for a while.
Plus, I fear I'd lose a lot of characters without Casual Mode to save them from death.
One Strip! One Strip!Awakening is the one I'm least used to. Elibe 4 lyfe
Or if you don't have time to run through FE 7 yourself, there's this. The Hector Hard Mode run is especially entertaining, because Intsys pulls out all the stops on the bullshit machine. All of them.

Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three. If you know what your doing, you can keep everyone alive.
You gotta start somewhere.
SO. Who wants to talk about Fire Emblem fics?
You gotta start somewhere.
