Chapter 71 is out on the usual places, and so is the Adventurers' Bible! I preordered this myself, so I'm really looking forward to cracking it open and having a look.
It's been fun.Laius really needs to build up some common sense.
And yey Iβm caught up again.
There's been some translations of the adventurer's bible over at /a/. Interesting stuff.

Secret SignatureOther tidbits include official English spellings for the cast's names, and confirmation that Thistle is male.
It's been fun. Also we get a look at the Canaries's personal issues.
Secret SignatureSeems like a fun amount of info in there, as well as some backstory snippets and a dungeon timeline for Laius's party, Kabru's party, and Thistle from the start of the series to the dragon attack at the end of volume 10, the last currently compiled chapter.
Of course, the most important info is that "although [Falin] has no special feelings for Shuro, she considered accepting his proposal due to not likely having any other marriage prospects in the future. However, she worried about deceiving him."
Yes, I'm gonna ride the MarciFari train until I die. Screw Shuro.
It's been fun.Man, this is just... so Laius. What would this even qualify as, high INT abysmal WIS?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Oh, absolutely. That really describes Laius in a nutshell.
It's been fun.Yeah Laius is smart, heβs just directing his brainpower to unconventional things.
Just caught up with this manga over the past few days. It's really excellent.
I had heard of it a while ago, but I suppose the mass of terrible Isekai made me a bit unsure of it. (I know they're different, but Isekai/cookie cutter JRPG inspired settings have bled into regular fantasy manga).
So I was a bit worried about the gimmick not being sustainable, but I was dead wrong about that. The author does such a great job of making the ecosystem of the dungeon super interesting to read about. And just as importantly making the non-food focus also important.
Probably my favorite monsters so far have been the Mimic/Treasure Insect interaction and the Living Armour.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobThis seriesβ interpretation of the Living Armor is so inspired. I wanted to eat that thing too!

Spoilers for chapter 71: So Thistle now intends to give the inhabitants of the Golden Kingdom "an eternity of food", starting with Laios. Do you think this is him deliberately twisting Laios's words in order to force-feed him to death, or is this him being so far gone in the head that this is just another instance of him Dramatically Missing the Point?
My AO3 profile. Let sleeping cats lie and be cute and calming.Honestly feels like the latter. Dude's cocoa puffs.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Yeah, I think he's earnestly (for him) trying to comprehend what Laius is saying, since it's at least clear to him that the people of the Golden Kingdom are suffering. If Laius says they need food, then that's what they'll get. It's the same MO we saw from Thistle in the flashbacks, too - if you need something, you're gonna get it, overpoweringly so.
It's been fun.Yeah, agreed. To me, Thistle is the very definition of Obliviously Evil: yeah, he's only hurting people for selfish reasons, but he undeniably thinks that he's really just protecting his home and keeping his people safe, even if they're not appreciative for some unknown reason.
(I mean, even his judgment of Marcille being a half-elf is just them being Not So Different: Thistle wants the humans he loved to live as long as an elf like him, whereas Marcille never wants anyone to feel the hurt that she felt when her dad died of old age while she and her mom were still young.)
New chapter out.
Peking Dragon, yum.
Oh and the lion really is sus. Heβs developed a fondness for having meals... meals in his case meaning desires and emotions
The winged lion mentions an interesting tidbit about his dimension. Since everyone there is a timeless immortal, their sense of desire is non existent. Only mortals with a finite existence have desire. That is why demons find desire to be a delicacy.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI feel like this chapter has secured that Thistle will end up at least getting some form of redemption, given that while he's doing bad things, this is also the clearest indication we've gotten that he legitimately believes he's helping the kingdom's residents.
I'm also worried about the implication that Marcille has become the new master of the dungeon. I'm assuming that's why everyone came back to life.
It's been fun.Everyone else came back to life because Marcille knows Resurrection. Marcille came back to life because presumably Thistle used his last moments (either alive or as a thinking being with drive to perform actions) to resurrect her, and maybe pass on the mantle of dungeon lord to her.
Oh, right, right. I somehow missed that she just cast the spell.
It's been fun.In any case thereβs a good chance Marcilla has become the Dungeon Lord. Fun times ahead.
As for Thistle, it might be too late for him to gain redemption. Unless there's a way to get the desire back from the Winged Lion, Thistle's stuck as an Empty Shell.
Disgusted, but not surprisedSo in case anyone had any doubts that the winged lion is a fraud and evil as hell. Thistle was insane and impossible to reason with, but at least he legitimately had altruistic intentions and was just too out of touch with reality to understand what he was doing. And the punch line of Marcille's father lasting longer than the average human got me lol.
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysNever make a deal with a demon.
Disgusted, but not surprised
From the threads I read (better discussion on /tg/ than /a/, not that that's a high bar), half-elf was pushed so hard that it was regarded as a Single-Issue Wonk by some regulars, or a ragebait topic at the very least.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.
