Thor blinks in surprise at Iris' remark.

"Well... I'd be lying if I said that wouldn't be a preferable outcome."

He turns to Amaterasu.

"So, would you mind telling us about the Orochi from your world? It sounds as though he's some sort of god of evil, not unlike Set."

As he exits the turbolift, Ben begins walking down the hallway towards Raeii... before realizing that the powerful dark side presence he had felt was none other than Jobak.

"Oh, kriff. I should have known you were planning something like this..."

Drawing his lightsaber, he ignites it and raises the sky-blue blade to block the oncoming Force Lightning, though he's driven back a good distance. In retaliation, he throws out a hand to try and nail the Sith Lord with a Force Push.

she ducked, putting her own hand in them

Kuro stares at Nyu. ... Tenshu, this is the same physical being as the woman who was ejected, but her personality seems... entirely different.

Orochi Strikes!

Orochi's wings block and try to blow Aleifr back, with the dworc barely getting any energy from it, if at all.

He blocks the attacks from the Saiyans, but their lack of sync allows him to be opened up, allowing the Octaslash and Shaq-uriken to both hit him, only for him to be further hit by a Matarukaja-boosted Kamehameha!

"Dad! Vegeta! I can fight too!"

Next to the other Saiyans flies up none other than Future Gohan, in all of his one-armed glory. Dark lightning sears around him, as if the Matarukaja has given him enough to keep up with Super Saiyan 2 for a small while.

Theseus and Asterius join the Heroes Of Beneril from either side, the 5 of them forming a full half-circle around Orochi... who is indeed airborne, albeit not too far up.

Chris, Yashiro, Shermie, and Goenitz, who all survived due to more dank wind, wall sit back and watch conflictedly...

Orochi fires back, white orbs of light scattering towards all who dared to challenge him thus far.

Sephiroth gets hit by an orb of light, but retaliates with a Shadow Flare fireball. All pretenses of fairness are out the window - he throws the fireball itself, and it homes in on Orochi until it hits something, no setup or delay required.

Shaq is blown back, but he tries to knock Orochi down with an axe kick and then keep him in the thunderdome with a Shaq Attack -> Still Insane -> Final Steel chain!

If Shaq's efforts succeed, the Heroes of Beneril will immediately jump Orochi from all sides, blades slashing furiously.

It tries to unbalance Jobak by using the Force on his ankles and going wbwbwbwllwbwbwlw on them.

Tournament of Power Arena

   "Tch."    Aleifr is forced to take his hand off, his energy drain not being very effective on Orochi. Nevertheless, he tries to analyze the sample he got to gain some insight into Orochi's abilities. He starts to decloak from his extended hand backwards, revealing a white, fully armored gauntlet as opposed to the partial one he usually wears...

Nah, he'll save that for next time. With a brief glow, the glimpse of his armored form disappears as he fully reveals himself. That raises the question of how he's going to use up the excess light within him now - any further imbalance would tip it from inconvenient to dangerous.

   "Can I have it? I'm hungry."   

"Tempting, but no. Not while I'm like this." Aleifr evades the orbs while disengaging, though his individual body parts seem quite stiff, almost like he's partially petrified. He's content to wait and observe for a moment while absorbing the ambient energy around him from all the attacks being thrown out by everyone else.

Oh hey there Gohan! Hey, what happened to your arm? I have a Senzu-

Ah, you look more battle-ready than our Gohan for sure! They're blown away by the initial blasts, and then all three start to run around to deflect the attacks or dodge them. They can't attack as a result, until Goku uses Instant Transmission to appear a good dozen meters above Orochi!

KAMEHAMEHA! He fires his blast one-handed, and power it up enough that it blows through stray light projectiles, setting off a trail of explosions as it rushes for Orochi.

Once the elevator opened to reveal none other than Jobak, the Spartan groaned.

"I'm with the Jedi on this one."

The Spartan wasn't prepared for Jobak to move so quickly, but Joshua managed to stomach the impact enough to only be slid backward. He grit his teeth in pain, raising his blaster cannon to aim it directly at the Sith Lord's head.

He fired twice, the recoil nearly too much for his damaged leg to handle. A security camera atop the wall in the room caught Joshua's attention, the Spartan raising his blaster cannon to disable it.

"There's being believable, and then there's deliberately delaying us."

The three Centurions around Lucia rose their lightsaber pikes to block the intense heat, their capes burning into pieces. Their armor, however, remained relatively unscathed, only a few burn marks. The three rushed forth, surrounding the angel in a triangle before attempting to slice her arms clean off!

Warrick's head kick landed square on the Centurion's temple, knocking them off course from slaying the Medic. The imperial managed to catch themselves in the air, landing on their feet. The Centurion readied themselves,

"Mandalorians? My favorite."

The Centurion leaped forward, dividing his focus between the Medic and Warrick. The imperial attempts another savage strike against the Medic, although regardless of its success, the centurion would swing around hoping to catch the Mandalorian with a strike across the chest.

Lambert had seemingly managed to find himself a peaceful area to cast his spell until a few anti-personnel turrets turned to face him. They started to unload heavy blaster fire, hoping to catch the man immobile.

The commandos were safe in cover for the current moment, taking a few moments to themselves to count their remaining ammunition. Their cover was being pelted by continuous blaster fire though, and it didn't look like they had any particular escape.

Jobak seems to be treating the fight more like a game than a serious struggle. He goes hurtling back from the Force Push, but elegantly twists in midair and lands against the wall before rocketing towards his foes. The Sith does a whirling double slash at Skippy with his lightsabers, then nukes the hallway with a Force Storm - incidentally shorting out the camera as well.

And making Raeii's cell flicker...

Medic eats the Centurion's blow, withstanding it - albeit not by much - and retaliating with a swipe of the Übersaw.

Warrick is cut across the armor. He scoffs and holsters his blaster pistols. "You wanna dance?"

He raises his bare hands. "Then let's dance."

Lucia's eyes glows again and she skillfully dodge out of the way of most attacks, bare one that seemingly manages to hit her in the shoulder! Hissing a litle, she gather fire around her hands and try to grasp the sabers. If she succeed, she makes the blades explode, perhaps stunning or sending flying the Centurions.

Regardless of her success, she split her sword into two smaller fire daggers and gesture, seemingly inviting other saber-wielding fighters to come up to her.

Drawing and activating Raeii's lightsaber, Ben meets Jobak's charge head-on and takes a few slashes at the Sith Lord with both blades. Before he can continue going on the offensive, however, the Force Storm blasts the young Jedi into a wall.

"Argh... You know, for someone who supposedly wants this Jedi freed, you're making it needlessly difficult for us to reach his cell," he remarks as he struggles to his feet. "Though I'm beginning to suspect that this was less about rescuing him and more about luring us into an elaborate trap for Laxin."

Onyxis - Imperial Outpost

Zuro Roggo takes the first few blaster shots, though he quickly gets out of there in a puff when he takes too much damage. That leaves Lambert to take the hits directly, but he doesn't look to be taking any damage...

No, he is. But he's also regenerating, the wounds on his body closing as fast as they appear. The bodies around him begin to wither as he drains what's left of their life force, using quantity over quality in this situation. He then opens his eye again, and it's now glowing red, a telltale sign of his blood magic at work. He becomes resistant to regular healing, but instead he's able to drain the life force of the people dying around him passively, and also from his attacks that hit.

It also allows him to use it as fuel for more powerful spells, as he's about to demonstrate by opening a portal in front of him. "Thunder IV!" He shoots out a burst of lightning not from his gun, but directly from his fingertips, significantly larger than last time, and a pair of portals open near the turrets at diferent locations to blast them with the split spell. Unlike Electric Cachexia, which relied on gradual spreading and Damage Over Time to wreak havoc, this is true Chain Lightning. Since he's targeting the turrets right now, hits on non-living enemies instead act as a more standard Mana Drain.

He then looks back to Lucia, still dealing with the Centurions, and starts to stroll towards her.

Skippy is able to fend off the slashes, but he's clearly on the defensive. The Force Storm bazingas him pretty badly, though; he starts smoking in a non-reassuring manner.

Joshua rose his gun, preparing another shot. That was until he was blasted down the room and slammed into a nearby wall. That impact seemed to do his leg in, the Spartan letting out a scream of intense pain. Lightning crackled across the Spartan's armor, his energy shield having saved him from complete death.

He tried to pull himself from the wall, but failed miserably. Joshua ended up faceplanting on the ground, unable to stand back up. He grasped his blaster cannon once more, trying to pull his way forward with it.

"This is most certainly a trap, this hurts too much to not be a trap."

Lucia successfully grasped the lightsaber pikes, exploding them in a brilliant field of crimson energy. The Centurions barely managed to live the explosion, flying several meters back and landing harsh into the dirt. Despite their survival, however, they were out of the fight for good.

Lacia's taunt caught the attention of more than a dozen Sith Warriors, the massive group attempting to overwhelm the angel with an unending series of strikes.

The Centurion parried Medic's swipe, turning their attention back to the Mandalorian in front of them.

"Beskar armor works wonders, but without it, you Mandalorians are naught but dogs."

With a fierce war cry, the Centurion rushes forward going for a large upward swing. If Warrick was fast enough, the upper half of the Centurion was wide open for an attack, or something else?

Lambert's chain lightning disabled turret after another, splitting and bouncing between war droids and infantry alike. It was massive destruction, confusion, and panic setting in on the Imperial ranks as their numbers were hastily dwindling. The turrets he had hit with the spell only looked temporarily disabled, although he was safe for the time being.

Rancor Squad had finished loading up, and just in time for the thunder spell. Whilst the Imperials were being fried by electric energy, Sovereign and Discharge rolled out of cover. The pair threw out two sonic grenades, and upon impact they killed a large group of infantry, their lifeless corpses flying around the battlefield.

Bogey and Silver peeked from cover with their sniper attachments, landing precision shots on fleeing Infantry. The Empire was on the retreat, but the battlefield began to quake.

Raeii gives Ben's summation a bemused smirk. "He's not the type for that level of deceit. Just give him a moment."

Jobak spreads his arms and Force Lightning crackles all over his hands like he's channeling a Force Storm...

but then he puts his hands together like a goddamn Final Flash and thrusts forwards.

BOOM

Raeii goes tumbling out of the newly-made hole in the outpost wall, landing on the snowy ground below. He pulls himself to his feet. "I see your time under a new Darth hasn't changed the fact that you're as unsubtle as a brick, and about as good a conversationalist as one too."

   "I don't know what you're talking about,"    lies Jobak.    "I merely got carried away and caused too much collateral damage."   

"Heh. You there," Raeii says to Ben, holding out a hand. "You're the Jedi to whom Jobak gave my sabers, yes? May I have them back?"

Jobak connects his own lightsabers together and takes a new stance, but he waits for that business to finish instead of resuming the offensive.

The Mandalorian Blockade

Warrick smirks and reaches behind his back.

"Everyone, clear out now!" he barks.

As the Centurion closes in, Warrick suddenly leaps up, using his jetpack for extra lift, then springboards off the Centurion's head for more height, before throwing a miniature seismic charge into the middle of the battlefield.

He turns around and fires his other wrist rocket at the Centurion before properly flying to a safe distance away. The sound of the explosion is muted, along with all other sounds of battle and even the background music...

and then the seismic charge detonates, releasing a massive shockwave powerful enough to for-sure kill anyone caught by it except maybe Lacia. The rescue team (and Raeii and Jobak) are close enough to notice it and feel it, but not close enough to be at risk of getting killed by it.

Medic tethers his medigun to Warrick and uses the strange property of moving as fast as the patient to escape alongside him with the speed of his jetpack.

MY AMBITIONS MAY HAVE EXCEEDED MY ABILITIES Comments Lacia before she start dodging, being nearly overwhelmed and earning herself quite a lot of small wounds, and some more serious ones. She still fight like a lionness though, sometimes even trying to trigger the explosion effect by clashing with a saber with one of her own hard.

Upon heeding Warrick's words though, she immediately leap into the air, her sabers transforming back into fiery wings.

AH! MY ALLIES! To those who can't get out of the way, she extend fiery, yet harmless, ropes, and tug hard to hurl them up.

Onyxis - Imperial Outpost

"Got it!" At Warrick's behest, he follows him, getting way too close to the seismic charge for his own good. His Metatron crystals turn black as he taps into them, pointing a finger to cast a thin beam at the charge, before he uses a short-range teleport and dashes away like hell.

The instant it detonates, Lambert's Expansion Field activates, warping space outwards to carry the shockwave even further than it would normally. Lambert himself actually gets caught at the edge as a result, though thanks to Lacia's rescue, he isn't hurt as badly as he could have been. That regen would still run out if he keeps abusing it... except he's about to absorb even more by pigggybacking on the seismic charge. An investment, if you will.

And as if that wasn't enough, when the shockwave starts to die down to where it's not quite lethal, a secondary Reflection Field also turns on to turn it back on itself, to further damage everything within that might have survived the first round.

The crystals grow from him feeding them to fuel these boosts, and he stumbles for a second as their 'singing' starts to become distracting. "Alright, that's enough." He fuses his pistols again, this time into a closer ranged rifle, and detaches the Metatron from his body as he prepares his next big shot.

When the skirmish ends with Jobak blasting Raeii out of his cell, Ben looks first to the wounded Joshua and the battered Skippy, then whirls on Jobak with a look of utter incredulity.

"So, all of those theatrics just now... were just so you could do what we came all this way for? You are, without a doubt, one of the most unorthodox Sith I've ever kriffing met."

Shutting off Raeii's lightsaber, he approaches Raeii himself before tossing both it and the training saber to the Jedi.

"My name's Ben Traviss, by the way. It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person," he says. "I'd ask about the history between you and your dark side... friend here, but I think such a conversation might have to wait until we're not in Imperial territory."

Joshua, using his blaster cannon as a crutch of sorts, forced himself to his feet. If anyone looked at his leg, his flesh was burned black by the intense heat of the saber, and it looked like a portion of bone was sticking out.

"Does any of you have some force magic for my leg? This shit is a pain to walk on. And I am definitely not dropping down, I'll lose my leg for good. "

The Spartan limped forward, waiting for someone to offer some sort of assistance to him. Joshua looked at Jobak,

"While it wasn't quite your fault I got slashed, you could've at least tried not to throw me into a wall."

Then the seismic charge went off, shaking the base, and forcing the Spartan to fall forward.

plop

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"

Joshua landed on his back, muttering a continuous set of expletives to himself trying to stand back up.

The Imperials continued to fire, Sith Warriors continued to rush forward from the backline, until all the sound was sucked from the battlefield. For a brief few moments, the blaster fire ceased. As the Seismic charge lowered closer and closer to the ground, the Imperials all stared at in blanket frozen fear.

Then...

BOOM

The Imperial line was completely devasted, various bits of flesh and metal flying for as long as the eye could see. The ground quaked, and the battlefield fell silent. Whilst the assault force was in the air, it seemed that despite odds they had achieved victory.

Until a large door within the base began to open.

The ground shook, and out from the base came pouring out Walkers,◊ and a new massive military force. Heavy Assault◊ troopers mixed in with the typical infantry, Lightweight Mark I War Droids◊ following behind.

Onyxis - Skyline

Whilst the assault force was in the air, if they cared to pay any attention, there was a large group of well... something in the sky. It was approaching quickly, but for those who could feel it, there was something else.

Something darker, intense hatred and anger, a dark presence like no other. The malice, the rage, coalescing into a single mind-destroying presence.

It was Laxin.

   "I cannot deny, I wasn't planning to do it myself. But then Laxin put me on guard duty to keep me there, too, since keeping him prisoner was my idea in the first place."   

• Sure thing.
• Could we not?

"Name's Raeii. I'll tell you all about it... as soon as we're done here."

He activates his self-made lightsaber and switches on his Tythonian Training Saber.

   "We have a bit of time to kill until Darth Laxin arrives."    Jobak spins his connected sabers... then pauses as he feels the shockwave of the seismic charge.    "Then again..."   

Warrick looks to the sky, feeling the pull of the void itself in his gut. "Guys, there's something c-"

He gets blasted down by a jolt of Force Lightning, and raises his head from down on all fours. "Make that two things!"

Wait.

Destructive Tempest (Battle / Raging Brachydios)

Jobak grins like a kid with a new toy before rushing towards the main battle.

"He's not going to let this go..." Raeii performs a Force Leap to catch up to him, creating a shockwave by slamming his sabers into the ground, then does a leaping backspin kick to try and knock down the Sith Lord.

Meanwhile, Medic sees the vitality of someone in need and rushes over to heal Joshua.

"Even with that energy refill, I'm starting to feel a little tired.", she mutters.
