With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationOh boy, another first Disney gay character!
...
Young British fop Mac Gregor does not use the specific word "gay," but explains how he broke off three engagements with women because his "interests happily lay elsewhere," prompting skipper Frank to raise a toast to "elsewhere."
It's just a meme at this point
He's a gay fellow indeed!
New theme music also a boxEmma Stone considering suing Disney, after Scarlett Johansson filed over Disney Plus release.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationAnd it can be so easily edited out for any homophobic foreign government's convenience.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. There are actual Hays Code movies with more explicit gay characters. :|
Or the convenience of domestic audiences.
Is the word "gay" just not aloud in Disney Films these days?
Funnily, as The Mary Sue points out, not saying the exact word "gay" is ok for this guy since the film is set in the 1910's.
Anyway, enough back patting. I will only be satisfied once Loki kisses Kang with tongue.
If Stone were to sue Disney, would this mean that Cruella 2 doesn't happen? Because I feel this is a move that could burn bridges. For Johansson, she's basically off Disney now, so no worries. But, for Stone, that sequel is already greenlit, so I could see Disney not wanting to work with the person that sued them.
I dunno. Disney has gone back and worked with people who've given them legal trouble before.
And now I suddenly have no desire to see Jungle Cruise.
As for the lawsuit, I hear Emily Blunt was considering similar? Not sure if I have sources for that one.
Before anyone claims all Divas on it, no, if it was in their contract to what they are to be paid and attempts to renegotiate in lieu of the release changes fell through or didn't even occur, Disney is in the wrong. Renegging on the terms of a contract is bad at any level of the employee totem pole; getting away with it at the top, how does that reflect those at the bottom?
And Disney's response of saying *she's* in violation for not understanding the ongoing Pandemic... Huh, funny thing to deflect with there Disney with all your theme parks currently in operation...
What really blows Disney's case out of the water is that AT&T/WB went through the EXACT SAME SHIT, the difference is that EVERYBODY went after WB at once for the HBO Max releases, Production Companies, Agencies, Unions and Guilds many large and expensive lawsuits at once.
Given that no suits have been filed some bits I have heard is that WB was pretty much forced to pay off everybody at once for the HBO Max 2021 releases, most likely another reason why they sold off those parts to Discovery.
For decades the studios have been looking for ways to get revenue without the talent getting a cut and have been failing. VHS, Syndication, Blu Ray/DVD, and now streaming.
I DO hope other actors follow suit the more that do the quicker Disney will be coming to the table to settle
Jungle Cruise opened with $34.2 million in the US box office, above expectations. It also netted $30 million from D+ Premier Access.
Global debut is $61.8 million.

Dang. They went the extra mile and tore open the front of his shirt...
The writers of that article don't seem to know that Carlotta was a character in the original film.

With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationHe does look like he's just been through a shipwreck. Doesn't explain why Carlotta's hip-deep in the ocean in what looks like a ballgown, though.
cos thats what people wear on the surface according to Ursula
New theme music also a boxNot sure where else to post this, but the Enchanted sequel has wrapped filming.
I... did not know a sequel had even been greenlit.
I hope this one has some hand-drawn animation in it like the first one did.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationYeah, that one really did fly under the radar.
The cold never bothered me anywayNice. It's the one live-action project that I've been legit looking forward to.
Echoing hymn of my fellow passerine | Art blog (under construction)It was announced at Investor's Day last December and promptly got overshadowed by all the other news (specially the Star Wars, MCU, and Animated Canon/Pixar properties). But I love Enchanted dearly so...
