Blossom Tales is the best 2D Zelda on the system.

Raji: An Ancient Epic has mediocre combat, but amazing art direction.

Steamworld Dig 2 is an excellent Metroidvania, with some charming character designs and aesthetics to boot.

If you have friends to play with, I'd recommend Towerfall Ascension and Ultimate Chicken Horse.

Defunct and Axiom Verge are good little games. If it's a sports game you want, Super Blood Hockey is your best bet (mainly because it's the only ice hockey game on the Switch, like, at all.)

Hades is a fantastic game if you don’t mind roguelikes. Same with The Binding of Isaac, but I’d wait till the Switch port for the newest DLC, Repentance, comes out.

Just got the Mighty Switch Force collection as a start. I forgot to mention that Bloodstained is on my radar, though I think I'll get Ritual of the Night on PS4 as doesn't the Switch version run worse? Though I think for Curse of the Moon I'd get the Switch version.

I also don't have an interest in games like Fall Guys or Among Us. Trendy games usually do not interest me.

Hey, is anyone else having issues with sending images directly to smart devices? It seems like the password it tells the smart device to use is different from the one it actually encrypts its individual network with.

(Japanese) Nikkei joins the chorus of publications saying a Switch Pro will be out this year; they also say Nintendo is planning to ship 30 million total Switches this fiscal year.

I know I'll buy a Switch Pro, the question is only how soon I will. My Switch is only a year old.

I got myself an unopened copy of Super Mario 3D All-Stars and it's not getting opened the second I get my mitts on a Switch Pro. If the cosmos allow it, it'll be almost immediately.

I have spoken.

That said, I'm not sure if I'll pre-order. Pre-orders have a tendency to get delayed or even get cancelled, so I don't know if I want to risk that again.

I got mine in late 2017 (Christmas), but lately the controller drift has gotten worse. I am wondering which would be better: trading it in for a new one, or just fixing the controller.

So far I've had no controller drift. Maybe it helps that I usually play with the touch-screen instead.

I had my Switch since launch. As I said, the battery is all wacked out and I don't feel like spending another $300+ to get a replacement unless I know for sure that a Switch Pro is confirmed to not be in the cards.

Bought mine second hand in the summer of 2017, so I aim to buy a pro model new.

Somebody sold their Switch that early? Before Super Mario Odyssey comes out?

My Switch is really beat up, though not in a way that affects functionality (with the exception of a past case of joycon drift that I took advantage of the free repair offer for), so I plan to upgrade eventually, once either there's at least one exclusive game I want or a design pattern for one of my favorite games available. I don't think damage will happen the same way next time as I'm a lot more stationary than when all the damage initially happened. But, since I still have full functionality, I'm in no hurry.

My Switch is a launch model, and the only issue I have is controller drift, which I decided to "fix" by getting a pro controller (Smash edition, for anyone curious).

Me, I'm getting the special edition Skyward Sword joy-cons once they come out.

I bought it off someone who was just starting to raise a family, thus time got more limited for him.

Honestly, that makes a lot of sense. They likely also needed the money.

I'll be sold if the Switch Pro includes new joycon designs that aren't incredibly vulnerable to drifting. Otherwise... Will wait and see. It's going to need some major advances for me to consider upgrading.

Yeah, on that subject—what actual changes can we expect from a Pro edition?

A Switch Pro would have to be pretty damn good for me to go for one, just budget-wise. I got my Switch second-hand relatively recently, so it was a reasonable amount cheaper.

Though if they can fix the joycon drift, that'd be wonderful. I only have one pair, and they've both been drifting. In for repairs currently, hopefully that'll do it.

I'd expect a longer lasting battery for one thing

All the rumors suggest that it'll be able to output 4K while docked. Presumably it will also have some more horsepower for more consistent (or better) framerates.

I wouldn't hold out for a stronger battery but I'd expect a higher quality screen. The rumors say it'll be OLED — the first models of the PS Vita used OLED and they were clean af.
