I’m still annoyed there’s no Netflix app on Switch.

What happened with that again?

Beyond some vague noises? Nothing at all.

I had that Joycon "desync" issue before and I think it's somehow related to the parts of the Switch unit itself that hold the Joycons in, and how they connect. For me it persisted even after I got new Joycons, until I realized that it worked fine if I pushed the right Joycon upwards a tiny bit. If that's the problem you had, it'd make sense that Nintendo couldn't reproduce the issue since they didn't have your Switch.

Got myself a "refurbished" pro controller and man does it feel good to use. I use quote marks because the controller looks like it was hardly ever used. It even came in the original box (inside of Best Buy's shipping box) and came with the charging cable too. Manual wasn't there but who cares about those? Saved me $20 on that one.

Everyone's favorite Diablo 2 knockoff is coming to the Switch (and PS 4, and Xbox) on September 3rd.

And I say "favorite Diablo 2 knockoff" because a, Torchlight 2 copies D2 more than it does D1 (if you want a Diablo 1 clone, that's what Torchlight 1 is for), and b, I don't exactly hear too many people saying they want the other major Diablo knockoff series (Fate) on consoles.

Goddamnit. When are we gonna get a proper Super Monkey Ball 3 with a return to the classic arcade style?

A Nintendo spokesman told Eurogamer an updated base Switch with better battery life (model number HAC-001 (-01)) will be hitting European shelves in mid-August.

We can likely expect the same for other regions as well.

Actual battery life for the new model according to Nintendo is 4.5 - 9 hours.

Luigi's Mansion 3 launches on Halloween.

New Joycon colors, Blue, Neon Yellow, Neon Purple, and Neon Orange, launch October 4th.

Tetris 99 physical will be out on September 6th with a free 1 year subscription to Nintendo Switch Online for $30.

Two New modes coming to Tetris 99, eight player Local Arena and 2P Shared Battle, coming later this year.

The revised standard model might have slightly better processing and stuff for more stable game experiences, right? If so, then I might get one and give my old one to my sister.

Nintendo has filed a trademark for "Nintendo Switch Do" with the Israeli Patent Office.

First off, there's a new Picross game coming. I'd be happier about this, but... it's an Overlord themed version. Complete with story mode. Yeah, I'm not sure how to feel about that.

When you said Overlord, I didn't realize you were actually talking about Overlord.

Yeah, maybe I should have specified that, but honestly, after the release Kemono Friends Picross, which Overlord is the Japanese company Jupiter more likely to theme a Picross game after: The popular Japanese light novel and anime series, or the semi-obscure western-made series of Pikmin-style games? I honestly thought the answer was obvious. (Admittedly, before Kemono Friends Picross, my answer would have been "neither, they'd just use a Nintendo IP instead".)

And in interesting new releases that didn't show up in the eShop's Coming Soon section, we have Umihara Kawase Fresh and Caladrius Blaze. Please also note that they're a bit early, as the "normal" release time for Thursday eShop titles is still 75 minutes away.

There are a lot of other stuff with the name "Overlord" than just those two.

Law firm, Chimicles, Schwartz, Kriner & Donaldson-Smith, LLP, has begun a class action investigation into Switch JoyCon drift.

I was hoping that Nintendo would handle this themselves, but if a class action investigation is necessary, than I guess it's necessary. I filled out the form.

NPD June 2019: Mario Maker 2 best selling game, Switch best selling hardware, Smash Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 DX, Breath of the Wild, NSMBUDX, and Super Mario Party are also apart of the top 20 best selling games of the month.

Super curious on whether Mario Maker or Fire Emblem will top July NPD. I could see it going either way really.

Mario Maker has a high chance of leading the NPD pack until November when there's a ton of games that can easily take the spot (DOOM Eternal, Death Stranding, there's a possibility with Pokémon Sword and Shield, but they usually split it so maybe), and there's a chance MM 2's momentum would slow to allow Link's Awakening or Luigi's Mansion 3 to take over for September or October, or Mortal Kombat 11 to get back on top.

Three Houses I could easily see being number 2 in the Switch NPD numbers, and maybe cracking top 5 in general numbers.
