Yay, weapon durability was a neat mechanic.

Yeah, as someone who didn't like BOTW, I'm not really interested. The game would have to be so different for me to care that it wouldn't be a BOTW sequel at all.

But, I'm not surprised either. BOTW was a huge financial and critical success, and the people who didn't like it like me are a not-so vocal minority. Of course they'd make a sequel.

I missed the part where that's my problem.

Breath of the Wild to me was a mixed bag... Sure, it had an enormous world to explore and a neat story, but it was ruined by an obnoxious weapon durability system...

The Nintendo Direct was one of the best E3 press conferences ever not because it contained any mind-blowing announcements like Twilight Princess in 2004, but because it was game after game with little to no filler.

Yeah, the breakable weapons was one of my big problems, along with a lack of true dungeons, items, and a barren overworld.

I missed the part where that's my problem.

I also don't much care for durability.

I'm always worrying about breaking certain weapons, in addition to having to break ones to get better ones (I prefer to actually use them and all).

It's really me being anal, but there you go.

Funnily, the "can't climb while raining" bothered me more than fragile weaponry.

Oh yeah, the rain was horrible and way too common. Every time it rains the big selling point of the game goes out the window until you find some way to wait it out. Would have been great if there was some item you could find to counter it, or heavily reduce the effects.

I missed the part where that's my problem.

I will concede that weapon fragility ultimately did more bad than good for me, but rain making climbing impossible was just the worst. Hopefully this game has, like, climbing gloves that eliminate that nuisance or something.

Revali's Gale didn't do me much good if I needed to climb a really vertical surface with no ledges in sight tongue

If they're going to keep weapon durability then they should at least revamp it to be more lenient to discourage Complacent Gaming Syndrome.

So, question. With the e3 sale going on, both the 3DS and Switch version of the Ace Attorney trilogies are on sale. Is the any significant changes made or additions to the switch version where I should choose it over the cheaper 3DS version?

Also, I didn't mind weapon durability myself. Meant I got used to using many different types of weapons (quests to earn unbreakable weapons would be a nice addition to the sequel, though)

The switch versions adds the 3DS games having a check mark put on stuff you click on during investigations, which saves a lot of trouble when investigating.

While I don't own both, the 3DS and Switch versions of the trilogy look pretty much identical, yet the Switch version costs more for some stupid reason.

I didn't mind the weapon durability system too much; I think it could've been balanced better so you didn't have to switch weapons multiple times during one fight, but conceptually I don't have a problem with it. But yeah, there absolutely should've been a piece of gear that let you climb without issue during rain.

You would think that climbing gear you find would have done the trick but nope, just reduced stamina consumption while climbing.

When upgraded enough yes.

But it still won't help you in the rain.

Cause I'm interested in it.
